First, Ilet me go on the record and state that 'm NOT a Mac fan, but I do love Unix, in all its flabors! I had the Mac Book Pro 15.4" w/ the Retina display for a couple of weeks before I decided to return it. Don't get me wrong, the machine is an EXCELLENT machine, it did everything i asked of it, and it was especially GREAT to drop down to Unix, the underlying O/S and try out some command line tools. So why only 4 out of 5, and why did I send it back? $$$...There are better ways to spend almost $2K on a system, besides...I can run Yosemite in a VM under Windows and do ALL the things I need to do. If you've got $2K to spend, go for it, however you'll get a heck of a lot more machine if you go with a modern Windows box and set-up the OS in a VM.

Just replaced my old 15" MacBook Pro after 7 years. Only in last few months had it been slowing down and experiencing glitches. My new laptop is lightning fast with all of the qualities I have come to expect from Macs. One improvement which may be minor to some, but is an unexpected bonus for me is that I purchased a greeting card program and a printer which enables me to make cards, certificates, banners, etc. Previously, card programs for Macs were vastly inferior to the Windows PC versions. But with my new MacBook, printer, and Hallmark program for Macs, I never have to run out to buy a greeting card for a last minute gift.

We love the mac book! It does so much more, clarity is awesome, super fast! Have more to learn but all you have to do is type how to on a mac and you get instructions in detail!

This has been an awesome buy and I am extremely happy with this. It is fast and I like the larger screen. I can use my iphone with it now:) I will definitely buy another one!

As a former professional PC builder, PC gamer, and professional level Windows user, I was so disappointed with the Windows 8 experience that I decided to move to Mac. My new computer was set up in a matter of minutes, and my iPhone integrated so easily I thought it was a joke. I can now send and receive texts and calls through my computer, and it runs so much faster than anything I've owned. Apple has convinced me that it's worth learning new controls and navigation techniques. Overall, a worthwhile buy.

I purchased this computer for my daughter and she loves it! I also purchased this same computer (with upgrades) for myself and we both love it! It's easy to use and we never have any issues we had with our PC's. It is by far the fastest computer I have ever owned. Although these laptops can be expensive,we recommend them! With all the money I've spent over the years on PC's and Annual Geek Squad Service Plans, I could have purchased this computer a long time ago and ended the headaches all together!

Owned mac laptop before and never gave us problem, now this mac pro is twice ad good as our old one. Great retina display and not so heavy considering it's a 15inch laptop.

The quality of this machine is excellent. It's simply beautiful, classy and yet elegant. The laptop is slim with a very good battery life (9 hours) that's more than enough for almost anyone. This MacBook has the best screen display. It's size of 15.4" and the retina display make possible a beautiful picture. Also, it runs so smoothly and is so fast that cannot be compared to any computer I ever owned. It is the best.

It is everything I wanted. The retire display is perfect. It makes everything look so much better. I can finally do all my design work with no problem with space or ram.

I love Apple products. This is my first Apple Laptop and it is all I expected and more. Very easy to use and super fast.

We got this computer just around holidays. It has proven to be a great relaiable machine, capable of doing anything that an average computer user does. It is very fast, multitasks with no problem and so far seems to be a great investment, no problem whatsoever. It is a bit expensive compared to similarly configured PCs, and that is why it got only four stars from me

I switched from a PC to an Apple laptop and I find this laptop to be fantastic. Great battery life, retina display and the lit keyboard make this one great laptop!

I bought this to replace my 6 y/o MacBook Air. It's so much faster and the retina display is gorgeous. I bought the display model and the staff was very friendly.

I had to replace my previous 3-year old MacBook Pro after it was stolen, this new MacBook Pro is faster, thinner, and has much better screen - what a great machine!

I was deciding between the 13" and the 15". The 15" is so much more powerful and the resolution is absolutely amazing. The speed of this machine is astounding.

My Mac is a great size and works great. This is an upgrade from a much older Macbook Pro and I am extremely happy with the upgrade! I love apple products!!!!
