Upgraded from my 2015 MacBook Pro model. Smaller, lighter, faster... touchbar is a nice option and is based on program running. What else to say, Apple makes a great product.

It's worked so well for me, it's very light. The touch screen is nice even though when I'm typing sometimes my fingers will hit the touch bar and activate something random like Siri or my volume! Overall I love it. The battery life will last long enough for a day of classes in my opinion. If you watch a lot of Netflix or play games on the laptop, it will drain it in 50% of the time it would if you were just using it for Word or Internet surfing. My favorite feature on this is the Touch ID, rather than always having to type a password every time I open my laptop, I can just put my finger on the ID and boom it's unlocked. I like it a lot

Loving the convenience of the touch bar. Processing speed is phenomenal. Resolution is amazing. Lightweight and easy enough to carry with you anywhere. Battery last long as well.

Love the computer. It's lightening fast in every way, small, light, beautiful screen, and surprising a step up with the touch bar which i did not anticipate using much.

I come from a mixed background using both PC and Mac. I am biased to Mac with that said. I use mine for music production, sound design, djing, and photo editing. The base model works flawlessly for all of my tasks, even high intensity sounds that would cap out my previous PC's skylake i7 are handled with no problem, which was quite surprising honestly. The touch bar has been more useful than I excpected, but it is still not completely integrated, though I am looking forward to Logic Pro getting touch bar features. Transfer speeds are phenomenal, though I would recommend spending the extra on at least the 512Gb if you save lots of files so you can store more on the computer rather than an external. You will definitely need dongles, get the ones that you will need. I pack a backpack or satchel with me most places so it hasn't been a huge issue, but USB-C hasn't taken over yet. There are some nice cables that you can use for your older devices if you don't want to use dongles for everything. You get used to carrying it around though and its not too bad! Absolutely love the computer, and is a 5 star computer once more things have USB-C.

I love Apple products and If I could afford so, I would own everything they offer. Until that day, I will settle for my iPhone, tv, iPad and now, finally, computer. I was however a little annoyed with Apple for having so many options in the newest MacBook Pro lineup. While watching the unveiling I was without-a-doubt purchasing one. Until, they snuck the non-touch-bar model in with the 13" and 15" choices. I was further annoyed when I saw the prices of all of them. I bought my previous MacBook pro for $1200 and it worked amazingly until the day I sold it. I also thought that was a good price-it was (and IS) a lot of money, but was justified because it worked great for 5 years. So seeing no model anywhere near that price left me looking at MacBook and MacBook Air. I weighed all the options, determined not to fall into the trap of buying the "cool new thing", and go the economic, all-you-really-need route...That was until a helpful Best Buy employee noted that the price and storage differences of models and what you actually use. For instance, while not completely accurate, the reasoning goes like this: the MacBook and MB Air are advertised as 128 gigs of storage, but the operating system requires 60, so essentially you have 65-8 gigs of storage...my phone has more than that and it's not enough. So, I had to recalculate the costs of upgrading the storages which left me following a trail of up-sells to finally purchasing what I deeply, truly wanted---the cool new thing. The touch-bar IS pretty cool, but you really don't notice it's there...at first. It takes a little training yourself to be conscious of the capabilities. The fingerprint scanner is an AWESOME feature which, while I only use it once or twice a day, I completely love not typing a n o t h e r password. I like the Siri addition to the computer, its much more responsive and seems to be better at identify my voice. The placement of Siri, it's over-estimated worth in-general is a little more confusing. I have used it more often on my computer, for the reasons mentioned, but I don't use it as frequently as my backspace button---which I hit all the time, which means I hit Siri ALL the time. Also, I had no familiarity with the new jacks and anything I knew was missing--so attachments are a must until (and if) this tech catches on. I would still recommend the computer though, it's incredibly light, and powerful.

Since I travel a lot, I was looking for a laptop that weighed less and was much faster than my previous MacBook. This laptop fits the bill and I've come to appreciate the touch bar now. The battery lasts long. The only thing I don't like is that the charging cable seems shorter to me.

Great speed and light weight still new but have never run out of batter time yet. Love the look. Neat unlock touch fingerprint mode.

So happy with this laptop. Debated whether to go with another desktop but decided to go with the MacBook Pro with the touch bar. Easy transition, love being able to take it along when I travel! Great functionality!

I have an older version of the MacBook Pro that I've had for a few years now. Though it still works, it started slowing down a bit, and because it is an older model, it is quite heavy for a little laptop. I have been looking into getting a new, slimmer MacBook being that I bring my computer with me everywhere and am always on it. I could not be happier with my purchase of the new MacBook Pro! It is slim and light, it runs beautifully, and the touch bar is an amazing feature!

Perfect , I love it , the screen is beautiful, not heavy at all, it charges super fast and if you turn off the bluetooth and notifications battery life is outstanding. Very fast and snappy experience and the new style keyboard is the best keyboard I have used on a laptop. I have had 4 macbook pro's and this is a really good one. If you don't care the port, a simple usb-c to usb adapter for everything is available...Bottom line, great laptop even though its a little pricey.

Was very impressed with the new MBP. It's very light weight and has plenty of computing power. Love the new keys and larger trackpad. Would have like to see at least one usb3 port but will just use a converter for my externals. I thought the touch bar would be useless but actually constantly comes in handy. Keeps me off the trackpad way more than I thought.

I have always had MacBooks throughout high school, undergrad, and now grad school. They are easy to use and super reliable. The touchbar is so nice and makes things fun!

I'm a Mac and have been. I decided to buy a new Mac and went with one of the entry level models. While it was very good, I saw it could get bogged down at times; and I also wanted the touch bar. So I returned it and got this. And I'm glad I did. It is the best MacBook Pro Apple has come out with yet - it's thin (maybe as thin as the original MacBook Air units), its plenty powerful, and the built in speakers are very, very good. The touch screen so far I would say is a "nice to have" but it offers Touch ID to log on, seems to be very responsive, and gives you what you need when you need it. There are no glitches or bugs either - as the late Steve Jobs said, it just works. There are also 4 USB-C ports on it, which are great and will get better as more accessories come out for it. The 256GB solid state drive is also more than enough. Apple's selling point for this is the touch bar, and for a first time out it's very promising. However, it's the power and form factor and the basics that make this a winner. Keep in mind that Apple is moving to a model where effectively units can no longer be upgraded by users after purchase, but I think even for power users this will prove an excellent machine that will still be relevant five years from now. And it is pricey, no doubt (this being the lowest cost touch bar MacBook Pro); but Apple machines do hold their value, are built well, aren't buggy, and they can still run the latest software even years after release. I'm sure this will be no exception. This is why I'm A Mac.

I've owned many different laptops including many Windows and Mac machines. I prefer Macs as they seem to be the most stable and well engineered. This is no different with this model. This model is powerful, yet does not heat up excessively and I do not hear the fan go going, in fact I rarely hear the fan and if I do it's when playing a game or system intensive tasks and even then it's not loud. Most other PCs I've used have very load fans with this type of configuration. As far as ports are concerned I'm content with the USB-C I have USB-C cables for everything I need and a USB-C to A adapter for everything else so I don't mind. The downside, price. I got a good deal on an open box item and some rewards so it made the price palatable to me.

I had a 2015 MacBook Gold and when this Touch Bar Pro got released, I really wanted to get in. I love how they replaced the upper keyboard with touch bar, I like the design very much and the finger scanner. Performance wise, it was very good. I love the retina display of this product. I'm a solid Apple Product lover and this is just a fantastic product. I definitely recommend this!

Very fast. light weight and thin. Well designed: large screen that goes out almost to the edges and bigger touch pad. Love the touch bar and the ability to unlock my laptop without putting in password all the time. GREAT battery life (lasts anywhere from 8-12 hours of active usage)! I got this laptop 6 months ago and still have no complaints, did I mention how fast it is?!

Touch bar is an innovation. It has great battery life and charges in just an hour and the battery lasts long pretty well. Super-slim and easy to use.

I upgraded my old MacBook Pro to this new one and I could not be happier with the performance, and overall thinness of the new MacBook Pro
