When it was time for a new computer I looked around at many options and decided to pick the 13" MacBook Pro. The storage size and display quality suit my needs. Battery life isn't as good as I would like. Depending on my application usage I can make the battery power last a entire workday but sometimes it runs out. I do like the touch bar. I find that I use a lot of the touch bar shortcuts.

Fast, and lightweight.The Touch Bar gave you instant access to the tools you want.

Lap top is faster and lighter than my old lap top. The bar concept is fun to use.

I had the last generation MacBook Pro retina and I liked it just fine. I gave it to my daughter as a hand-me-down. I like the MacBook Pro Retina Touch Pad even better. It's light and sturdy. The display is sharp and bright. I really like this keyboard. I read where some people had trouble with the touch pad. I don't have any problems with it. The speakers are great too! I don't hate the touch bar, but I don't get much use out of it yet. The battery life is OK, but I'd like for it to last longer on a charge. I've never had to plug it in while I'm out of the house, but I don't feel comfortable leaving the charger at home... It's an expensive laptop, but it's a really good laptop. :)

Having had a MacBook Pro (mid-2009), I was already aware of the features and benefits of a Mac. The physical layout is simple and clean. The processor is fast. The fan noise is nearly non-existant. I'm still getting to know the touchbar, but I love the touch log in. A family member was asking about the system and now they are going to buy one, too. Highly recommend this to anyone.

I wasn't rushing to grab the new MacBook pros but I bought It when my old Retina 13'' late 2013 MacBook Pro died. This one is just as good. The Touch ID works just as fast as it does on the iPhone 7, and having an integrated Siri is an added bonus, even though I don't use it as much. The touch bar, while at first seems very gimmicky, is very intuitive and easy to grasp. I find myself using it a lot when taking notes or writing reports on pages. The only downside is since it's such a new features, the main use you get out of it is mostly on Apple based applications (Safari, iMessage, pages, numbers, FaceTime, maps, etc.), Youtube ends up being a primary exception. Ports are a downside, but at least you have four USB-C ports instead of just one like on the normal MacBook line. Grab a USB hub or a USB to USB-C converter and its honestly not as terrible as everyone made the "dongle" situation out to be. Also while I thought the loss of MagSafe was going to be a huge bummer, I've readily enjoyed being able to charge my laptop from either the left or right sides since the charger is USB-C based as well. Mainly, yes its a good buy and I do love the MacBook Pro line, however, had my previous MacBook not had a logic board problem, I would have been content not upgrading for awhile, especially with the bump in price in base models.

I was looking for new laptop and I open for windows laptops too. However with the given Apple ecosystem being very stable and secure I opted with MacBook Pro. It's fast reliable, touchbar is breeze though it's a learning curve!! Silent and excellent battery life. Screen is beautiful and speakers are noticeably loud and clear. Only thing I hate it doesn't have a card reader!!

I have owned several Apple computers over the years because of the quality products they create. The fact that they create both the hardware and software for their machines allows them to tweak everything exactly as they want it and is a benefit that can often be overlooked by those using Windows computers claiming Apple is too expensive. This machine works flawlessly, smoothly, and quickly. The retina display is absolutely beautiful with bright and accurate, vivid colors. The touch bar is something I questioned I'd ever use, but now that I have it I definitely wouldn't want to go without it. If you are questioning whether it's something you care for, just remember it replaces the function keys row which is hardly used anyway (and can still be accessed via the touch bar). The four ports are perfect and more than enough for my needs - some complain about needing adapters but at this point in time you can pretty much find USB-C cables that will fit whatever devices you use. I bought a USB-C cable for my external drive and as simple as that I am all set up to use it with the new MBP. Overall this is just a well built, solid machine. There is a reason Apple is the wealthiest company in the world and it all comes down to the fact that they consistently put out the best of the best. If you are on the fence, just go for it!

This laptop is amazing. The display is so crisp and just a perfect picture. I was thinking when I went in that I may want the 15 inch but after looking at this and holding it, it is the perfect size for anyone that takes their laptop on the go! It runs perfect and updates itself what more could you ask for?! And the touchbar is the best thing that Apple has added to any laptop!

This computer is really nice! The Touch Bar is super cool, and it's super easy to learn! I switched from a PC and I'll never go back! The guy that helped me is also super helpful! I could tell he genuinely cared about his job and my experience there, and I genuinely hated that I was being one of those difficult customers that kept asking questions. His name was Chase, I believe.

This is an incredible step forward from the older generations of MacBook Pro. Great screen; thouchbar is fantastic, too. The necessity to buy dongles for standard USB was annoying at first, but it was very temporary. The dongles are actually a bit better in that your flash drive isn't hanging out of side of the machine in danger of snapping off. Overall, I'm very happy!

Really enjoyed the new updates on this macbook pro. The touchbar has a slight learning curve to it, but once you get used to it - makes typing and navigating the web/computer much easier than it once was. I forgot how i lived without it. Would have appreciated it if Apple had given more time to come into the future - there's no regular USB port on this - just the USB-C.

I got the MacBook for my son to take to college. It is lightweight and easy to take to class. It has worked well for his classes and projects.

This is my first Apple computer. Overall, the experience has been positive. (1) The KEYBOARD will be something you'll have to get used to; the keys feel unique compared to other keyboards, but it's something I've grown to like. (2) macOS Sierra OPERATING SYSTEM is definitely different from using Windows 10, but it's a good different. (2a) Although, I do not like having to quit applications with additional keystrokes/mouse clicks. (Closing an application does not quit the application.) (2b) I also have had the operating system freeze and had to research how to restart the computer because it was not responding via normal menus. (2c) Plus, there is no physical power button because the Touch ID sensor is there instead, so I could not use that to force a shut down. (3) The TRACKPAD is very large and useful. Very pleased with the size and the built-in gestures are very easy to learn and useful. (4) I also have had to contact APPLE SUPPORT for a keyboard shortcut issue, but it was resolved. Very nice and helpful even though it did take about two hours. (5) And finally, what I'm sure you have been waiting for....the TOUCH BAR. There have been mixed reviews with the Touch Bar, but I enjoy it a lot. It's gorgeous and has a lot of potential, as long as developers follow suit. It is easy to access Siri. Although it does take one extra "touch" to access the volume slider, play/fast-forward/pause buttons, and the Launchpad button (to access all of your installed applications). However, it is very useful to open new tabs on Safari and access your bookmarks. It is also nice to use the touch bar to play/pause videos and move the slider to different parts of a video (even though it does glitch sometimes). The Touch Bar is definitely not perfect and only works mainly with Apple applications as of now, but I'm sure more developers will integrate it into their software. ***Like I said in the title of this review, if you're already willing to spend the money on a new Late 2016 MacBook Pro....you might as well get the Touch Bar. It's beautiful and I do see a lot of potential. It'll just take some time. Is this the best computer on the market? That I cannot say a definite "yes" to. It's nice, but the new Microsoft Surface Pro gives it some strong competition.

Don't be fooled by unsubstantiated criticism of this amazing machine. It's true, a bit pricey. But going the extra mile and investing in this MacBook pays off in the long run. Not only will you be the proud of owner of this beautifully designed - all powerful MacBook Pro, you will also have the peace of mind knowing you are backed by top quality and the Apple logo. Enjoy.

The speed is very fast. The battery can hold at least 8 hours. The computer runs without heat generation. Cool. I would like to buy one more.

I am a proud owner of this sleek yet powerful tool for 2 yrs now, and absolutely love it!!! Definitely recommend this to who are interested in doing some serious photoshopping along with the regular usage . The touch bar feature adds so much to this masterpiece enhancing its lusture multifolds!! A big thumps up to this one!!

This is the best laptop that I have ever owned! Pros: Very loud speakers Keyboard is pretty good even though it has shallow travel Trackpad does not disappoint Display is very bright and accurate Build Quality feels great Performance is pretty good. Just don't expect to play any high end games. Cons : does heats up sometimes but works fine on desk.
