Bought this as a gift for someone and they love it. I have one as well and definitely prefer the keyboard with the numeric keypad. Bit pricey though, but it is Apple.

Great wireless keyboard. Love the built in numeric keypad. What’s really nice it uses the Apple lighting charger cable to charge is back up. No frequent battery changes. Sleek. Nice brushed silver finish.

I LOVE our new Apple numeric keypad! True, it isn't raised in the back like past Apple keyboards, but it's slick, compact, quiet, versatile, and awesome. And the cordless feature rocks. The best part is: it requires NO batteries (that we know of). It charges via a cord that plugs into your computer via USB and then into your keyboard with a small plug. Highly recommended! We've only charged it once since we received it and it's STILL going! Further, you can conserve battery by turning it off when not in use! Snag this beauty!

Love the slim design and the 10 key pad on the right side I find very useful. The wireless option is also great. Very happy with it as my first time purchase.

If you’re debating between the smaller or larger model… Here is the biggest difference. The larger model comes with front space, which is not a feature you will find in the smaller model. It looks great and feels even better.

I bought this keyboard about a month ago, and it is still performing well up to this point. The key travel is a little shallower than previous Magic keyboards, but it is still very comfortable to type on, especially relative to the current butterfly switch keyboards on Mac computers today. Battery life has been solid. With pretty regular usage daily, I still have ~75% power. It quickly paired with my MacBook after I turned on the keyboard. If I had to say a con for this keyboard, it's just a little cumbersome to carry around with you because of the keyboard's length. It barely fits in my backpack, but at least it's lightweight. Overall, highly recommended to use with any MacBooks or iPads.

So glad I invested in this keyboard. Unlike other reviewers, I do not mind that it does not tilt much (it has the slightest incline) and find it smooth and quiet and the most important thing: Doesn't hurt my somewhat arthritic hands. I love having the page up and down keys which extends the use of my MacAir and cuts down on the wear on the MacAir's keyboard itself. This Magic Keyboard connected easily and I have charged it only briefly, have had it running for 3 weeks without charging. I don't always turn it off and it's been fine.I write a lot because I write creatively and responsive, soft-touch keys are very important to me.

Purchased this keyboard to use with my MacBook Pro 13" that I hook up to a 23 inch monitor. Like the keyboard because it has the numeric keypad with it. I had the smaller one before and missed the keypad. It is different in that it does not run on batteries as my pervious keyboard. It has a charger. Just need to check your usage to see if it needs charging. I haven't had it very long so I am still on the first charge and it seems to last a long time. I read that you may need to charge every month. So, no big deal! Like it!

I got this for my MacBook Pro that I use with a dual screen. Works great and with Bluetooth all I have to do is turn it on. Long lasting battery that is rechargeable. Personally think the number pad is worth it.

So far, so good. The keys have the same operation as the new MacBooks, plus they are wireless - which is awesome. My last keyboard had to be wired because I NEED a number pad. Glad they made this change.

The Apple Magic Keyboard is an amazing keyboard for typing. It has a great design, works well, and connects easily. This shows how much Apple cares about making things great. I really care about how things look and how well they work, and I can say for sure that this keyboard has made typing way better for me

If you're a teacher, you need this. Having the numeric keypad makes entering grades a breeze. I have around 100 students a year, so this was an absolute must. Put your Macbook on a lift/stand, pick up this keyboard and the trackpad (stay away from the mouse).

My wrists and fingers are not long enough to use the laptop keyboard of the MacBookPro. I lasted about 3 days using it before deciding to buy the Apple keyboard as i wanted to have the Apple keys available to me without having to program a keyboard to function like an Apple keyboard. Was totally worth the extra dollars to have the number pad on the side. The charge lasts a long time and the set up was minimal. Worth every penny. t does lay a little flat so i put 2 Scotch brand bumpers (like you would put on a cabinet door) on the back to elevate it slightly.

Great touch with minimum effort. It can be used with Bluetooth or wired. The battery lasts weeks before recharging. Nice to have the numeric keypad. Easy to pair with the computer. But, there are less expensive options.

I bought this keyboard discounted because it was an open box item. I'm using it now to write this review. I had been using a Windows-style keyboard, which worked OK but not great because the buttons weren't the same as on my MacBook Aird. The numeric keypad is especially helpful when typing numbers in a spreadsheet or calculator or whatever. It's so much faster than looking for them across the top of the keyboard.
