This has been a great speaker for my MacBook my main contingency with the keyboard was getting the fingerprint ID for passwords and works considerably well

    Absolutely Amazing for Typing

Apple's Magic Keyboard is aptly named. Simply put, this is one of the best non-mechanical keyboards I have ever used. The pressure and feedback of the keys are very responsive, and there's good travel depth. The layout is fantastic, and the symmetrical control, option, and command keys on both sides are great for pinky finger muscle memory. As far as ease-of-use is concerned, this keyboard connects immediately macOS without any software downloads or dongles. Its response is virtually imperceptible from a wired keyboard. From a full charge, I have typed more than 80k words over the span of a month, and it still has nearly 50% charge. However, this keyboard has two glaring flaws. First, it requires a 4-pin Apple Thunderbolt cable to charge, so you will need a USB-A dongle on a MacBook Pro. Second, it is too lightweight. This may seem hypercritical, but the rubber feet on the bottom provide very little grip. If you type a lot, you will feel it slowly slide across your desk.

It's a wireless keyboard that is sleek and functions better than the previous keyboard we had. I especially like that it has the numbers on the side; makes it easier to type numbers in. I'm all about ease and simplicity, and this keyboard delivers in those regards.

I am an apple guy 100% and have been using wired apple keyboard for every Mac I have owned back to my iBook g4, because I do a lot of number crunching and needed a numbed I went wired. I use a docked MacBook Pro as my main computer for last 7 years and hated have to make sure cord was out of the way before I docked on my old landing zone, or now not setting MacBook on it. I was a little late to the party to get one of these, but man I am glad I did now. Battery last forever for me and I use it 40+ hours a week and it has the numbed I long for, plus I love the space great because of the black keys, since with the white ones and the oil from your hands you have to clean more often IMO. Mind you I wish there was no space grey "tax" on the price, do not really get how different color makes price go up.

If you’re debating between the smaller or larger model… Here is the biggest difference. The larger model comes with front space, which is not a feature you will find in the smaller model. It looks great and feels even better.

    What you expect from Apple

This is what you expect for an Apple keyboard. It looks great, it just works, you don’t really need anything else if you have a Mac, but it’s expensive. I am coming from an old wired version and I like the feel of the keys on this keyboard better. I love it’s wireless. I have a Das Keyboard with Cherry MX Browns and a Razer Black Widow with Cherry MX Blues but needed something quieter and this is great for that. This is about as expensive as those and I’ll see how it holds up as I type for many hours every day as a programmer. I don’t really like having to plug the usb cable in when I’m switching between computers but it’s okay. I also feel with less travel I need to keep my nails trimmed.

I am not sure why I waited so long to get the magic keyboard! I work from home and use my MacBook Pro along with another monitor and having a wireless keyboard was really essential. I ended up using a cheap one that I got from work that was not as good. The keys on the Magic Keyboard do not stick, they are not super loud but the only thing I wish it had was a backlit keyboard (unless it does and I haven't activated it yet?) either way, I love this keyboard and I look forward to using it for work and school.

I have always preferred keyboards with a full numpad on them since I tend to do quite a bit of work with spreadsheets and such (used to do a bunch of gaming but not so much now with a Mac, though that is getting better). I really love the Magic Keyboard that came with my Mac but missed the numpad that I had on my wired Mac keyboard previously. Yes, I know I could have just used this keyboard but I hate taking up a USB slot for a keyboard and I like having the flexibility to move the keyboard around without worrying about the cord. This solved everything, and again, I know there were other 3rd party options out there as well, some for considerably less money, I kind of like everything to match and I have become comfortable with the Mac keyboard 'feel'.

Love this keyboard!! I originally bought the smaller one with no numeric keypad but it was so small. Love having the keypad on the side with all the extra buttons. It also charges quick and last a long time.

Bought this as a gift for someone and they love it. I have one as well and definitely prefer the keyboard with the numeric keypad. Bit pricey though, but it is Apple.

Love the look, keys are too sensitive for me

Although I have no plans on replacing this anytime soon, I must stress right away that the depression of the keys on this keyboard is far too easy of a thing to do. Now, it doesn't need to be the spring-board kind of action of a mechanical keyboard, but it would be better if the keys were as resistant as the older Apple wireless keyboard keys were. As it stands, I'm constantly accidentally pressing down keys--whether from double or triple tapping, or hitting a nearby key, I'm constantly resorting to hitting delete and having to retype. Thankfully I'm only using the keyboard for music production, so more often than not, I'm only using the mouse. Still, if the keys are going to be this sensitive, they might as well just make it like a touchscreen. I have many hand/wrist issues including carpal tunnel in both wrists, and I still dislike how easy it is to depress these keys. Having complained that much, I will emphasize, that it's still as strong and robust a build as previous Apple keyboards. It looks amazing, particularly the color, but the design itself is pretty sharp. If you prefer keys of yesteryear, you might want to test this in person to see if you'll manage with it. If you're a writer and plan on typing a lot, you definitely want to test it in person to make sure you'll like it.

I'm using this in a home office environment on a Dell laptop and MacBook Pro via a KVM switch. This unit has a quieter keystroke, shorter key travel and a simpler design which allows for easy cleaning. I chose this over a gaming keyboard because of those three advantages. It also has a space bar that sounds very similar to the other keys; no squeaks for this one, larger, key as I've experienced with gaming keyboards. This is a clean, mature looking input device on your desk that just does its job. As mentioned, I can confirm that is works on a Windows 10 and 7 OS with no changes, devices drivers, etc. I use it via USB cable, not Bluetooth (though it will pair to MacOS or Windows and work with no problem). The Delete key, Print Screen, media keys work as expected. Instead of Microsoft Key + Fn key hotkeys, you'd just used Command + Fn istead. It's in the same place.
