This has been a great replacement to my old mouse. This is a lot smaller which is great for portability with my mac. The only dislike is that I wish I could have the travel response be a little faster like my mouse at work. It isn't bad, but I find I have to pick it up more often to re-position it on the desk...granted I'm using two 27" monitors so the travel distance between them is quite a bit.

    Worst mouse I've ever owned

I bought this mouse, thinking it would integrate well with my MacBook Pro. It connected right away and worked well for about ten minutes. Then, the cursor started to lag and get all jumpy and jittery. It would disconnect randomly, and the battery life has been very poor. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times. Each time, it works well for a few minutes, then starts to misbehave. I've had it for a month now, probably beyond the return period, because I have other, more pressing matters than this mouse, but I would not buy again.

This is my first Apple product (other than iPhone or iPad) so it's my first try with an Apple mouse to use with a MacBook Pr. I got the suggested mouse pad too. I am having issues calibrating the mouse for the speed and area covered. Seems like I have to lift the mouse and the put it back on the pad and roll it around on the pad to get the cursor on the right place. Hopefully I will be able to find the right setting and I will be able to give it 5 stars.

Three Magic Mouse 2 owners in our family

I was pleased with my wife's Magic Mouse 2, so purchased one for myself (to replace my original Magic Mouse that depleted AA batteries rather quickly). We both like the click action, the usefulness of the multi-touch surface, and the charge duration of the permanent built-in battery. As other reviews have mentioned, it has a somewhat "flatter" form compared to mice from other manufacturers, so doesn't "snug into" your hand like most others, but that isn't an issue for either of us. This purchase was for a third Magic Mouse 2 for another family member.

As a Windows kind of guy, there are some things that take a bit of getting used to - ya know, considering this is used with a Mac system. But, I'm sure I don't need to tell you this works EXACTLY as it should IF you are a Mac person. So there. Minus one star for how much this costs. HEY APPLE - quit charging so much for your mouse - charge more for where the tech (read: software - because that is the expensive part), which is in the Mac. Or whatever. Anyway - minus one for cost. I'll give a plus one for "it just works" when I review the Man Mini.

    Hard to control

While I like the functions, it sometimes has a mind of its own. It will begin to slide left or right when I don't want it to, which prevents me from clicking on certain items. The standard mouse movement is very slow. I had to internally adjust up the speed to be adequate. Although you don't have to re-charge the mouse very often, the charge port is on the bottom of the mouse, so it makes it impossible to use while its being charged. As with the keyboard, its very flat, and much harder to control than a standard mouse.

I was hesitant to purchase this mouse due to the price. After trying various non apple bands and being very frustrated I bought this mouse. It is very simple to connect. No extra wires or peripherals. The battery lasts very long. I use my computer and mouse daily for work and I charge it occasionally, maybe every two weeks. I don't think that it has ever run below 70% power. I just plug it in at night. I read complaints about the port being on the bottom, just rest the mouse on its side, not a problem. I would highly recommend it

It’s a mouse made by Apple, so of course it works very well. I use all the shortcuts all the time too. I think it’s a perfect size so I carry it around with me all the time. As I mentioned before, I use the shortcuts all the time so it’s a great added feature. The charger is in an awkward position, but honestly I haven’t had to charge it since I got it. I turn it off when I don’t need it and when I do need it it connects right away to my MacBook.

When looking for a mouse I considered all options for a Bluetooth mouse. The Apple mouse was a hard pill to swallow because of the price but it is the best mouse for you Apple computer. A less expensive universal mouse will work but because it's not made specifically for your Apple computer so it'll lagg. The Apple mouse does have features they don't advertise but trust me if you hate lagging and resetting everything so that your universal mouse works properly save yourself the frustration by just getting the Apple mouse.

I read a lot of reviews about the Magic Mouse and I have to say I really like it. I probably read as many bad reviews as good ones but the complaints I read most (ergonomics and charging) don't bother me at all. I actually keep my hand fairly flat when using it and I don't do editing or anything like that so it works for me. I don't have to use it for long periods of time. I bought an open box one and I am very happy with it. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because it's comfortable to me but not the best mouse I've ever used.

Awesome mouse. Scrolling is super smooth and the weight/tactile response is spot on. But I wish there was a center click function, and that it was easier to make work with windows (LOTS of searching online for the proper driver). And two finger gestures would be nice, since the mouse has the capability. All in all, while I love the mouse, I think the Microsoft Arc Touch mouse is a much better value and mouse experience. But to those who value tactile feel and everyday precision above all else, this mouse is great.

Our home has been nearly all Apple. In addition to the MacBook Pros that four out of five of us now have, plus iPhones all around and a few still functioning iPods, we now have three iMacs that are still running. With all of this Apple experience none of us had ever tried the Magic Mouse. Once you get it set up to optimize all its features and get used to it, it exemplifies the work of Apple's exceptional designers. It does just about everything just with taps and sweeps on the mouse and it doesn't eat a USB port in the process. Cool.

I like this mouse, as it stays connected to my MacBook Pro, unlike a non-Apple branded Bluetooth mouse I previously used. I, however, keep the secondary click feature turned off most of the time, as I often mistakenly click just a little far right on the mouse. This causes the mouse to bring up a popup window when I don't want to use any of the features in this window.

I have had the mouse a total of three weeks now, and it worked marvelously! That was still on the initial charge! However One night I forgot to turn it off, and have now gone back to charge it. Since then - The charge is either not holding, or the wireless component is no longer working. I know the mouse functions proper as when plugged into the USB charging port, and the computer it registers the mouse. But will not connect when the cable is removed :( So I am stuck with an unusable mouse for the time being....

There is a problem with this mouse when you try to left click something the screen scrolls up and down or left and right. This seems to be a known issue based on online forums, with no real fix. Some suggest changing the tracking speed, but for me that didn’t make a difference. While there are some nice integrated OSX features, like screen swipe left and right, the left click issue is too distracting to make this a good product. Recommend getting the trackpad or another more standard mouse if you’re a Mac user.

Got this mouse for my MacBook Pro which is also my first Mac ever. Mouse was easy to connect via Bluetooth first time and connects without any issues from then on. The only problem, and an annoying one that could be easily fixed by Apple, is that the charging cord included with the mouse is an older USB and does not fit any of the ports on the MacBook Pro. Result, another $20 spent for an adapter. Admittedly I will probably use the adapter for connect HDD and other things, but still, why not include the proper hardware.

Love that they've done away with having to use rechargeable batteries by making it rechargeable with the same charger as my iPhone. The only thing that bugs me a little bit about the new model is that it seems to only warn me when the battery is at about 2%, so it's pretty much immediate death after I get the warning. Good news is that it charges quickly. Keep an eye on the battery level periodically in the Bluetooth menu. Also, if you're not used to the touch vertical and horizontal scrolling, it might drive you a little bonkers at first.

Its an Apple product so the quality is there no doubt. I bought this to use with my iMac and was hoping to use it with my Windows laptop as well. It works great for the Mac but you can't shut the scroll completely off and it's annoying me like crazy. Its scrolls pages when I don't want it to. Forget using it on the PC unless you want to mess around with 3rd party software. 4 stars because I have to base my review off the fact its an Apple product designed to be used with an Apple computer and it works very well. Just a bit annoyed with the scrolling.

My title states it all. I have LOVED the Magic Mouse since the beginning and use it primarily in design work. The finger gestures on the top surface are bar-none the best I have ever used. The only complaint is WHY THE HECK DID APPLE PUT THE CHARGING PORT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUSE??? You cannot use it while charging. Instead it lays on its side with the cord plugged in. Hoping they fix this on the MM3.

While you might pay a lot less for another mouse, this one impressed me with it's multi function capabilities. From selecting between applications, zooming in and out, to swiping between screens without having to punch keys or click icons to make it all happen. But if you're going to pay the cost to get a Mac, you might as well get the mouse that works best with it too. AND it's bluetooth so you don't lose one of your USB ports that you otherwise might have to use for a standard wireless mouse. I think you too will be impressed.
