My hand would be cramping all the time without this mouse. Sure, other mouses would work just as well, but the scrolling is super intuitive if you use other apple products.

I'm so glad I upgraded from my old magic mouse that operated on batteries! I was changing batteries once per month and couldn't believe how much money I spent on batteries not to mention the pain to recycle them. The new magic mouse is more responsive and holds a charge for as long as the batteries did.

Love this mouse ... connected to my iMac immediately . My only complaint is that you can not use the Mouse while it is charging. Kind of a pain waiting for it to charge. All that said it is an outstanding mouse and never looses connection.

Thank god this revision was rechargeable. I was constantly changing batteries on my last MagicMouse. I like all the functionality of this mouse, even though it isn't the most comfortable mouse on the market. Took one star away because it can cause significant fatigue in your hand.

Everything is functional, however, it's design is a little bulky and uncomfortable. After several hours it causes some aches and pains in the wrist. I've let a few friends use it and they have similar complaints. All to gather it's at it's core a functional mouse I'm still using

I use this mouse with a Macbook Pro and a Lenovo Thinkpad. I really like using this with my Mac, but it does not work as well with the Lenovo. I could not make the scrolling feature work with the Lenovo which is kind of a pain. Overall, I am happy with the purchase since it works so well with the Mac and I got it for a good price as an open box product in the store.

Original Mouse Took two AA Batteries. The New One has a USB Wire You have to connect between the Bottom of the mouse and your computer. You cant use mouse while you are Charging mouse. The mouse connection is on the bottom. Its a Pain but maybe I'm using it wrong.

I purchased this to replace the Magic Mouse 1 that came with my Mac. I have to admit changing batteries all the time was a pain and not environmentally friendly. The Magic Mouse 2 charges quickly and has 58% charge left after almost a month. Well made and easy on the eyes. A good upgrade!

I've owned both versions of the magic mouse. This version connects very easily, has nearly no latency, and the touch sensors on the top of the mouse are very smooth. The rechargeable battery is a nice perk over the first version. My only complaint about the magic mouse in general is that it's a little too thin so for those with carpel tunnel issues or other hand pain, it's not terribly ergonomic for people that don't have tiny hands. Other than that, it works great with my mac pro!

My first Magic Mouse died and I immediately wanted to replace it with a second mouse. I love this one because it charges through a USB cord. I had the Apple rechargeable batteries for the first mouse, but they just were a pain. I have gone a couple of days between charges, but it is more from fear that the mouse will quit rather than being warned by the computer. I am so glad Apple went with this new design for charging.

I purchased this mouse because I wanted a flawless bluetooth mouse without a USB connector. I read reviews about the hand discomfort because the size, however, I didn't think it would pertain to me because I have small, child-like hands. Like, my 6-year-old cousin's hands are almost larger than mine. ---- Well, I was wrong, the flat design really cramped my hand within 10+ minutes of use, and I felt my hand couldn't fully relax because of the touch sensitivity of the mouse. So, I exchanged it for an all bluetooth Logitech ($30) mouse, and it honestly works very well. Although, it feels lighter/cheaper.

For me this is a mandatory necessity. I'm not a lifelong mac user and I don't do well with the mac gesturing used on the touch pad. as a matter of fact just trying to cut and paste without a mouse was a pain in the rear requiring a multiple key combination. Save yourself the head ache and buy a mouse, this one is premium and integrates exceptionally well with the mac. No dongle needed. As with most apple products it does what its designed to do well and has exceptional build quality. Battery life has proved to be excellent and it seems to work fine on almost any surface, table, couch arm, pants leg, doesn't seem to matter.

This mouse is very easy to use and works perfectly. It came fully charged and have yet to charge it. I have had it for a month or so. It has a small switch on the bottom to turn it off and on. I always turn it off when I'm not using it with my MacBook Pro. The only downside is that I have large hands and it seems to slightly cramp my hand with prolonged use. That said, I'd buy it again because it works so well.

I don't usually come back to a site to write a review but I felt compelled in this case. Glad I made the purchase. Some reviews left me unsure of buying one but glad I tried it out and I love it. I have a MacBook Pro and it connected within seconds of turning it on. The charging port is on the bottom of the mouse, but who cares. I been using it daily for at least 3 weeks and the charge is now at 88%. It charges quickly so no big deal. Love the features that are exclusive to Apple (double tap to Mission Control, swipe capabilities, etc.) I use Finale for music notation and it works great. Occasionally feel some fatigue in my wrist and right finger, but isn't that true of any mouse after a long period of use. Just take a break. The only reason I withhold the 5 star rating is due to the lack of independent settings for the mouse and trackpad. When you change the trackpad settings, the mouse settings are changed and vice versa. But again, no big deal Highly recommend this mouse.

    Huge disappointment

I bought this mouse to go with my brand new high spec MacBook Pro. I'm not a touchpad guy, even though the MBP has the best touchpad in the laptop world. I thought this would be a great complimentary Apple product for my new mac. However, I was wrong! The mouse doesn't fit very well in my hands, and as a result is a pain to use on a daily basis. I thought I'd get used to it but that was not the case. To make matters worse, the battery needs to be charge often, and the charging port is awkwardly placed on the bottom. You cannot use the mouse while it's charging! The touch scrolling feature doesn't work too great either. The only pros about this mouse are the looks (looks amazing, but is not very functional), uses a lighting cable that most people who use Apple products already have for charging (except the poor placement of the charging port negates this pro), and it pairs seemlessly and easily with my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth, keeping my USB ports free. I don't recommend this mouse. It is way too expensive for it to not have any practicality nor any reasonable usability. Honestly I don't know why Apple even made this mouse or how they're still managing to keep it in stores. I've used Logitech and Microsoft mice in the past and they can do a MUCH better job than this mouse can. I've been using a wireless USB Logitech mouse with my previous MacBook Pro and it worked wonderfully. I now use a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse (gasp! @@@@@@@ that does an even better job.
