My first surprise was that this mouse is rechargeable via USB port and supplied cable. I had a previous model that burned through batteries. It synced easily with my older iMac and was easy to customize in preferences. Fits comfortably in your hand and tracks well on many surfaces.

I’ve had this mouse for over a month, use it every day for 8-10 hours for work, and have not had to charge it since the first charge! With my old mouse I would’ve replaced the batteries 3 times by now. I also like how I can customize finger swipes to me.

I've heard other reviews that they did not like the Magic Mouse 2 But I find it to be a Good Wireless Mouse for my MacBook Pro 15". The charge holds for a good amount of time. I do agree with other complaints (reason for my rating of 4 and not 5) that the charger port should be on the bottom edge and not the bottom of the mouse so that you can still use the mouse while it is charging but that is a minor issue.

Have the older version that requires batteries, upgraded just because I needed something on the christmas list and so glad I did! I don't have kids so not having to buy batteries is a huge plus, and the new mouse is sleaker. Goes perfectly with the the keyboard! I got that too!

People with low reviews apparently did not read up on the product OR didn't ask the people at the store about it. Associates should know enough about the product, if not be well versed in trying to go to the apple site to view reviews about this thing as well as anything Apple related. Bought the mouse knowing well that it will work great on my MacBook Pro Retina 13.3" (early 2015) and no issues whatsoever. The gestures on the mouse worked great. I have even attempted to connect it to my gaming laptop (ASUS g73jw) and even works great on it. So the people that have given this thing any low review apparently haven't done anything to review before their purchase. Congrats to them on not researching their stuff before buying! If anything guys, it is a good buy but do keep in mind, it is aesthetics, you DON'T have to have this item for your Mac at all. You can use a normal 10 dollar clearance logitech mouse and it will work just fine if you don't want to spend a "ton" of money.

-- I bought it to partner with the 12in MacBook I just bought. This is my fist Mac laptop, and I wanted to buy the accompnying Apple Mouse to make sure I gave the laptop and honest tryout. -- I like how it connects quickly and has a smooth response when surfing. Although it doesn't have a wheel it's scrolling up and down pages is very linear and better than several wheel-based systems I've used. It's light-weight, compact, and easy to use. -- I was a little concerned at first if the value would match the price, but I've learned that in most cases I only care about the price the day I buy it, but if the product is annoying to use the feeling of "why did I pay any money for this" lasts until the day I finally get fed up with whatever it is and throw it away. No such feeling with this product, I really like it.

Love this mouse! It can work like any other mouse with left click/right click and scroll, but can also be customized for many other options just like the build in pad. Sleek design. I also like how you can customize the speed of the arrow. Could not be happier!

As all Mac products I believe that they are great quality. I do think that the mouse is pricy. I guess you get what you pay for. I did have a little problem with MacBook recognizing the mouse at first and I have had one time that it was unresponsive despite being fully charged. A restart of the MacBook took care of the problem. Other than that, I think it works great and I'm glad I don't have to replace batteries.

Like the Mac magic keyboard, this mouse is fantastic for my remote work area set up. Very easy to set up and works great. You can adjust the mouse features from your Mac and set it up however you want. Highly recommend

I'm old and can't get used to the pad, especially when working with photos. The Magic Mouse works very well. I remember years ago that Windows people said there was no "right mouse;" there is, just set it up that way.

why would Apple put the charging plug on the bottom of the mouse? No way to use it if you run out of juice. Bad design.

Apple mouses are awesome. They are sensitive so you get very precise movement! They are better than the first family because it charges with a usb and the battery lasts for months. So for people complaining about how you can't use it while it's charging, you rarely have to charge it!

The Apple Magic Mouse is a must have accessory for serious Mac users. Smooth, easy operation. Great battery life. Even with heavy use with the MacBook Pro, it needs only occasional charging. Not inexpensive, but worth it for the convenience and the compatibility.
