An Expensive but Uniquely Apple Mouse

I like the mouse overall because it has a few cool features that you won’t get out of other nice like the ability to swipe between spaces and other trackpad commands that you’d normally use; but it’s a bit pricey and not exactly the most comfortable mouse to use if you’re used to the shape of standard or ergonomic mice. My hand starts to feel a bit of fatigue after using it for a while. The charging port on this thing is in a pretty awkward position as well which renders the mouse unusable as it charges, and I could excuse all of that if they had just put a USB C port instead of lightning. I really wish they’d let lightning die and come over to the USB C side.

Love this mouse ... connected to my iMac immediately . My only complaint is that you can not use the Mouse while it is charging. Kind of a pain waiting for it to charge. All that said it is an outstanding mouse and never looses connection.

First used one of these at work and love it. Convinced my husband we needed one for our personal Macbook. For PC users, it takes a bit to get used to scrolling in the opposite direction than a PC mouse, but even my husband has made the transition. Love it!

The only bad thing is that you can not load and use it at the same time, but ... one minute connected gives us an hour of use, two minutes for about 9 hours and a couple of hours for a full charge with a range of one month or more

I've used this and the previous version of the Magic Mouse. I was blown away at what it could do; however, if you are a tireless Mac Book user you MAY find the location of its charging port less than optimal. It has great battery life but, looking ahead, I "what if'd" the probability of running out juice before finishing work. I'd have to stop using it since the charging port where the Thunderbolt cable connects to it is located beneath it. You may never run in to the scenario I described and it's worth the money if you're a desktop user or will never be in a position where you'll drain its lithium battery. I used to keep spare AAs with me when I used my old Magic Mouse so I never ran out if juice. Good mouse otherwise.

It's a good mouse but...charging it requires extra cords and stuff to buy. Anything that Apple can do to make things more difficult, they seem to do it!

I had the original Magic Mouse and loved it but its battery compartment was badly designed: when using non-Apple AA batteries, moving the mouse too quickly would cause the battery contacts to momentarily rattle loose, interrupting the Bluetooth link and forcing you to reset it. I finally got fed up and replaced it with this mouse, which has a non-removable rechargeable battery, avoiding the Bluetooth issue. Aside from that it's exactly the same as the original Magic Mouse. Otherwise, the only downside to this mouse is the fact that the charging port is on the bottom (the flat side that normally slides around on your mousepad), so you cannot use the mouse while the charging cable is attached. What was Apple thinking? Absurd.

Felt the same as the 1st gen, just rechargeable. Not missing much if you stay with the 1st version. I returned mine and kept using my old one. Great product if you want to save on having to put a new battery every couple of months.

Very sleek, responsive and good looking. No more batteries needed as it is rechargeable, so you’ll save money over time with this one compared to the 1st.
