I was forced to buy a replacement for the Mouse that came with my Mac when my old one stopped working one day. When I went into Best Buy my jaw dropped on the floor when they told me it was $80! So I bought it, but also picked up a Logitech for $12 on sale to see if it would work (or if it would be compatible) Not only was Logitech way cheaper, but it worked immediately within seconds and was so comfortable in my hand while using. While the $80 Apple mouse is sleek and nice looking, but the Apple mouse was not comfortable in comparison. AND the Worst part was after spending $80 for an Apple mouse for an Apple computer, one would think that it would work immediately... NOT the case! I had to read the directions to figure it out and took @ 5 minutes to setup with a few steps to complete pairing. The $12 Logitech mouse literally I opened the package, plugged the USB thing in the back, and it worked immediately! So I would NEVER recommend the $80 Apple Magic Mouse unless you are looking for Carpel Tunnel, there are much Better and Cheaper options out there.....

I bought this mouse to go with my brand new high spec MacBook Pro. I'm not a touchpad guy, even though the MBP has the best touchpad in the laptop world. I thought this would be a great complimentary Apple product for my new mac. However, I was wrong! The mouse does not fit very well in my hands, and as a result is a pain to use on a daily basis. I thought I'd get used to it but that was not the case. To make matters worse, the battery needs to be charge often, and the charging port is awkwardly placed on the bottom. You cannot use the mouse while it's charging! The touch scrolling feature doesn't work too great either. The only pros about this mouse are the looks (looks amazing, but is not very functional), uses a lighting cable that most people who use Apple products already have for charging (except the poor placement of the charging port negates this pro), and it pairs seemlessly and easily with my MacBook Pro via Bluetooth, keeping my USB ports free. I do not recommend this mouse. It is way too expensive for it to not have any practicality nor any reasonable usability. Honestly I don't know why Apple even made this mouse or how they're still managing to keep it in stores. I've used Logitech and Microsoft mice in the past and they can do a MUCH better job than this mouse can. I've been using a wireless USB Logitech mouse with my previous MacBook Pro and it worked wonderfully. I now use a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse (gasp!) that does an even better job.

One of my most disappointing moments in owning Apple Macintosh products. I have large hands, this mouse is made for people with small hands. Tracking is very slow and Apple corporation is NOT going to do anything to fix that problem, trust me, I and several dozen other apple community members have tried. There was a fix that worked (MagicPrefs) but they discontinued support to the app and if your a beta seed tester like some of us, after the update, it don't work NO MORE. So, like the many hundreds of us that foolishly bought this mouse, it just got turned off and thrown in a drawer collecting dust. I am still using my $5.00 BigLot's generic mouse on my iMac and is better than anything Apple products has put out on the market. Shame on you Apple Macintosh.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro, and I love it. The only problem is that the new machine only has USB Type-C ports and no standard USB ports, which isn't a major issue for me. The only problem is that my old wireless mouse connects via the standard USB port. I decided to purchase the Apple Magic 2 mouse to utilize bluetooth technology instead of having to use a USB adapter for my old mouse. However the charging cable for this mouse connects only to a standard USB which my new MacBook doesn't even have, so the adapter is still necessary to charge the mouse. If Apple only want to have USB type-C ports on their new machines they should make sure their own products actually connect instead of having to buy a pricey adapter to make it work!

I am very pleased with my new MackBook Pro, but the Magic Mouse needs to be redesigned. First of all, it's slippery. So, it's hard to grip. Second, it's thin. So, it's hard to grip. Third it has sharp edges that cut into my ring finger when I try to grip it like a standard mouse. Forth, if I grip it with my little finger my hand cramps. So, now I have a $70 mouse that I don't use. My old wireless Windows mouse works but it takes up one of the two USB ports. Maybe I will see if I can return the Magic Mouse and get a more user friendly bluetooth mouse.

This m.m. will be 1 year old 8/28/2018. It has stopped working completely. Did the association thing again and battery was 100 % charged. Nothing. At least this one will be returnable..... My first one was exactly 1 year and 2 months old and the geekers couldn't help me either. And of course, I HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE! What gives? Is the quality of equipment getting poorer? And I use my laptop Mac Pro a couple times a month only. Also have a desktop 27 inch MAC and iPhoneX. So occasionally I lay in bed with it and now its broke again. Unbelievable.... Very disappointing.

This magic mouse 2, looks and feels great in person... However, I don't use my laptop at my desk, I sit down majority of the time on my couch, or my bed. With my prior mouse, I would use it any and every surface that I could put my mouse on and it responded perfectly fine. The magic mouse 2, is the absolute opposite, it was really annoying to be honest, only responded with lagl... Responded well to a flat surface with a mouse pad...Unfortunately I don’t use the mouse pads and you would think for such a high end device it would work on the majority of surfaces. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

I bought this mouse, thinking it would integrate well with my MacBook Pro. It connected right away and worked well for about ten minutes. Then, the cursor started to lag and get all jumpy and jittery. It would disconnect randomly, and the battery life has been very poor. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times. Each time, it works well for a few minutes, then starts to misbehave. I've had it for a month now, probably beyond the return period, because I have other, more pressing matters than this mouse, but I would not buy again.

There is a problem with this mouse when you try to left click something the screen scrolls up and down or left and right. This seems to be a known issue based on online forums, with no real fix. Some suggest changing the tracking speed, but for me that didn’t make a difference. While there are some nice integrated OSX features, like screen swipe left and right, the left click issue is too distracting to make this a good product. Recommend getting the trackpad or another more standard mouse if you’re a Mac user.

-imprecise no matter what app I tried, eliminating acceleration or increasing sensitivity. No mouse pad or lack of did anything to improve this. Just totally absolutely horrible tracking -flat, narrow, and grippy when perofrmaning gestures makes for an uncomfortable, disconnected feeling. Why they would put the sensor ALL the way at the top, I have no ides. Using a cheap old $5 logitech notebook mouse with the inisignia usb adapter and it's SOOO much better. AVOID MM2 @ all costs.

5 Magic Mouse 2.s have failed simply from normal use and never left this location. I am 61 and use it in one place. It is another device where the warranty is NOT extended for good reason yet in Apple tradition, obscenely overpriced at $79.99. I have 7 Logitech mouse products that changed with technology. I am using an 11 year old one now that requires it's wireless technology to work through a USB stick. However, it has NEVER FAILED and cost much less.

First, you cannot connect it to your Macbook with the included cable. Second, it feels and operates terribly, and that is after you run to Best Buy or Apple and buy the cable you actually need in order to use it with the Macbook. I returned it. Don't buy this mouse. I bought a blue tooth mouth at Best Buy for $20 and it is absolutely great.

I was under the impression after trying a different bluetooth mouse that only the magic mouse would work with my new MacBook Pro. I used the Magic Mouse for almost a month. I hate it. The design is "cool" looking, but it is uncomfortable and awkward to use. The cursor goes crazy at times, changing size and and the entire window I am working in miniturizes for no reason! I returned the Magic Mouse and found a Logitech Mouse that works great.

I got this very expensive apple mouse to replace my Mac mouse. I got home, went to try it out, and found that I would have to upgrade from Yosemite to the current OS in oreder for it to work. As I have a bunch of programs that just work with Yosemite I had to return the mouse. I'm sure it was a cool mouse, just not for me.

Everything about this mouse works with regard to normal mouse functions, but the gestures? Nothing. No magic. Took it back and replaced it - same thing happened again! I have a new Mac, no issues, and have researched this for days! And I am not technology inept.. I just don't know why my mac and the mouse won't get along. The magic just wasn't in my house this month.

Apparently I purchased a USED Magic Mouse! I was not notified before purchase! I simply picked one up of the shelf for my sons Christmas gift along with his new MacBook Pro, when he opened the mouse, there was nothing but the mouse, no charger or any product info and it was scratched! Thanks Best Buy! Dissatisfied beyond belief!

Horrible mouse. Great if you are like the rest of the Apple community where you are more concerned about the look of your computer/hardware than its functionality. I will say, it is very cool looking, that is it. I took that back the day after I bought it. Way overpriced as well.

I returned the first one, the second wasn't any better. Every time I shut my Macbook Pro off and back on I have to connect the mouse via cable and pair again, that is an absolute no-no for me. And once I figured that the track pad on my Macbook Pro is easy to use, I decided I don't need that mouse, back it went.

Very frustrated with this product. The mouse shows up when it is connected to the computer with the usb plug but once I remove the plug it doesn't recognize it. I've tried several times to get it to sync and remain connected but it keeps disconnecting when removed from the plug

I got this mouse because I thought it looked nice and it had good reviews. Honestly I thought it was a waste of money. I returned it because It didn't work as efficient and it was annoying to me. A regular mouse works just the same and maybe even better.
