If it wasn't for the hand cramps...

I purchased this mouse because I wanted a flawless bluetooth mouse without a USB connector. I read reviews about the hand discomfort because the size, however, I didn't think it would pertain to me because I have small, child-like hands. Like, my 6-year-old cousin's hands are almost larger than mine. ---- Well, I was wrong, the flat design really cramped my hand within 10+ minutes of use, and I felt my hand couldn't fully relax because of the touch sensitivity of the mouse. So, I exchanged it for an all bluetooth Logitech ($30) mouse, and it honestly works very well. Although, it feels lighter/cheaper.

I think if you were not used to a particular mouse already this would be great but for me I was not a fan of how it worked and the location of the buttons on it. I am a little old fashion that I like too feel what I am doing vs feeling like its a virtual button. So to me my mouse is an older one with a moving wheel because I have to read a lot of documents and the scroll is a feature I use a lot, so as much as it was nice to have such a sleek design and low profile I ended up returning it pretty quickly.

Well, first off , I'm new to Macs. Though I've used iPad and iPhone for a few years now, Macs are a whole new ball ground for me. Being used to windows , it was very difficult for me to get used to the Magic Mouse. And, too, my middle finger is somewhat disabled. Altogether, it made using the Magic Mouse uncomfortable.I ended up going back to my wireless Trackball mouse , even though it takes up one of my USB ports. I'd say, if you know Macs already, and have normal finger use, you would probably Love the Magic Mouse. It just doesn't work well for me.

I have had the mouse a total of three weeks now, and it worked marvelously! That was still on the initial charge! However One night I forgot to turn it off, and have now gone back to charge it. Since then - The charge is either not holding, or the wireless component is no longer working. I know the mouse functions proper as when plugged into the USB charging port, and the computer it registers the mouse. But will not connect when the cable is removed :( So I am stuck with an unusable mouse for the time being....

    Sleek design but ergonomically deficient.

Despite a sleek design, and some nice features, this mouse does not work well in a man's hand. It is difficult to grip firmly which makes it difficult to click on a target accurately. When attempting to click on an object, the mouse would move, causing the curser to move resulting in clicking on the wrong object. I returned it and purchased a logistic mouse for a lot less money that fits my hand properly.

My Magic Mouse was failing so I went and picked up the new model and discovered that the wireless recharging feature had been dropped. Now, I have to plug a cord into it to recharge it. It was so much easier and more convenient to just place the mouse on the recharging base occasionally. I'm not sure if the failure of my first unit (after about 3 years) was the reason this feature was dropped but it's definitely a step backwards from my perspective...

This is a slick feeling device that is easy to carry. It is my second Magic Mouse - the first had a battery compartment and this one charges from the standard apple charger. The first one was not well made and the battery fell out. This one I thought would be better, as it is a charged unit. However, it does not hold a charge for any length of time and the charger portal is in a very awkward place on the bottom of the unit. I wouldn't get another Magic Mouse.

There is nothing special about this mouse. It is a hand cramper and doesn’t auto connect to my Brand new MacBook Pro. I exchanged it for a 100% Bluetooth Logitech Mouse which is perfect!! It auto Connects too. Here are my final thoughts. Apples Computers, iPhones & iPad/iPods are good products, but Apples Accessories are well made useless Accessories if that makes sense. Buy a Logitech mouse if you need one and save $50+ Bucks.

Mouse gets hung up in middle of screen

I cannot figure out why, but the mouse constantly gets hung up in the middle of the screen within minutes of connecting. If I disconnect it, then reconnect, it will work for a few minutes then gets hung up again. Using on MacBook Pro (13 inch-2017). Anyone have any idea why? Been happing since purchased.

I purchased a new MacBook Pro at the end of July 2018. I really wanted a nice mouse to go with it. The salesperson at Bestbuy talked me into getting the Magic Mouse. It basically never worked. I tried it several times. I even traded it in for a new one twice at Best Buy. I do not recommend this product. Save your $$$.

I do not like the fact it does not have replaceable batteries. The plug in on the bottom makes the mouse unusable during charging. When the mouse was first connected it would not scroll at all. It did move the pointer. I had to upgrade the software on my IMac Pro. Once I did that it appears to be working correctly. This is the first Apple product I am not very pleased with.

This is the second iMac wireless mouse I have had to replace. They are not cheap and obviously there are flaws. I was able to get a free replacement from Apple since it was only a few months old but kept the one I got at Best Buy because I figured they weren't going to get cheaper and I'd probably need it down the road.

These work well and last, but if you forget to charge it when you aren't using it, you'll be stuck without a mouse while it charges. THE CHARGE PORT IS ON THE BOTTOM RENDERING IT USELESS WHILE CHARGING. Oh yeah, it's also overpriced. You knew that part though, right?

Rechargeable is a good feature however the physical styling has a sharp uncomfortable edge around the grip area. Tracking on the surface I typically use was erratic resulting in the cursor moving unpredictable. I ended up going back to my Logitech Performance MX which is bulkier however has perfect response and is fully compatible with MacBook Air.

It does not work sometimes if it is not close to the laptop, it was too late to return because I was 1 day passed 30 days. A bummer. A regular mouse will work, however the sales associate said apple can only use apple.

While the mouse overall functionality is great, you're left in an awkward situation should the batteries die. The charging port is at the BOTTOM of the mouse rendering it useless while it charges. Such a poor unthought out process on apples end. Buy the original, or wait for the next one.

I didn't like how it felt when I moved the cursor on my mac book. I have a $20 Logitech wireless mouse and it works way better! Feels a lot more comfortable too. This one wasn't. I'm not one to return items but I had to return this overpriced not so great item.

This version has to be plugged in for charging. I liked the older version better, seems more user friendly. My teenager uses it occasionally but I never do. Don't waste your money unless you really need one, because the touch pad on the Mac's work just as good.

I was so excited, but that was not the case once I opened the mouse. Heavy, slick, weird shape and most of all, the performance did not live up to Apple standards, especially for $80.00

I can't get my mouse to recognize scrolling gesture. May have to return it. I have tried turning Bluetooth off and on - disconnecting mouse - turning mouse off and on. It also does not always connect with my MacBook Pro when I turn the mouse on.
