Magic, Mostly — Surface Matters

Rating: ★★★★½
I’ve now owned three Magic Mice, and Apple keeps me coming back — for good reason. It’s sleek, responsive, and feels almost magical in your hand. I love how it just “remembers” what I was doing, even if it occasionally disconnects for a moment (like me wandering to another room).
Why not 5 stars? Tracking can lag on certain surfaces — my Best Buy mouse pad works great, but switch to the table or a notebook cover, and it sometimes stumbles. And, of course, the charging port is on the bottom, making it awkward to use while charging.
Still, a 4.5-star experience. Sleek, stylish, and mostly perfect — just fix the tracking quirks and charging design, Apple, and I’d happily give 5 stars.

I had a MacBook before and purchased a non-apple mouse and found it lacking in ease of use so when I had to upgrade my MacBook, I wanted to use all Apple accessories to see if there would be a difference. If it didn’t work out, I could always take them back, there there is a huge huge difference.
This mouse is exceptional. Apple really did it right. It’s very easy to connect once I found the on off switch. So far the battery life seems great, but when I can’t remember, I do turn it off. It’s very easy to travel with and easy to use I’m working on the go. it has little feet on it so it doesn’t require a mouse pad but in my opinion, it does work better if you have one. I love the fact I can use the mouse, the entire mouse as a trackpad, or for those not familiar with Apple, the scroll wheel to go up down sideways without having to click anything.
My one big issue is that it is not ergonomic whatsoever. As someone who works 8 to 10 hours a day it does put a lot of pressure on your wrist. I have a pad that goes under mine that helped some but I do hope Apple is working on the design of this to make it easier for those with carpal and to prevent carpal tunnel. I may even look into elevating my mouse pad to help with this deficiency. But even with this for me, it’s major I still give it five stars it’s an exceptional mouse.

I absolutely love this mouse. I didn’t realize what I was missing as my last ones had the wheels to roll the page up and down. I absolutely do not miss that feature. This is a well made product which works seamlessly with my macpro. I wish I would have purchased this mouse when I was in school before, but I’m glad I have it now. I have small hands so I love the sleek design, but I would try in store to ensure it is comfortable for anyone with larger hands.

Good Mouse Stupid Charging Design

I like the mouse, but who was the designer who thought it would be a good idea to make it so that you have to turn it upside down to charge it? So you can't use it while it is charging, so if you forget to charge it you are out of luck.

I’ve always used Logitech mice, but for the first time, I thought I should give this a try. There is a slight learning curve to this mouse. It’s extremely low-profile, so if you have monstrous-sized hands, this probably isn’t the mouse for you. Aesthetically, this mouse looks great, and it’s made with high quality material. I’m in front of a computer all day for work, so the different swipe features are amazing! You can go into the mouse settings and even customize different features for finger gestures, like a track pad.
The mouse uses a lightning cable charger. It’s on the bottom of the mouse, so you cannot use it while charging. While some have complained about this, I think it’s a very minor flaw, considering the battery life is phenomenal. I haven’t had the need to charge it since I took it out of the box. It came out of the box at 65% and I used it for a little over 2 months, and I’m currently at 49%. Keep in mind, I use this mouse 40 hrs./week.
My only complaint is how it lacks ergonomically. It doesn’t really have any grooves or curves for my fingers and palm to rest. My hands are a relatively small, so I can deal with it, but if you have long fingers, you will probably get cramps.

The mouse works very well and looks clean and modern. The tracking is smooth, but the shape is not the most comfortable for long use. Still a great product overall.

It works great with a precision mouse pad. It had problems with a memory foam mouse pad. I'm a graphic designer and use it all the time. It would freeze up and I kept thinking something was wrong with it until I finally put the new mouse pad on top of the foam one to keep the wrist rest. It definitely has increased productivity and speed. The double tap feature takes some getting used to but is worth it. Not having to buy batteries is great as well.

This Apple Magic Mouse is so much better than the original one I got as it took AA batteries which did not last and it was hard to replace the batteries because the cover would get stuck.
This new mouse(has a rechargeable battery and gets charged from the computer using a mouse to USB cord(came with the mouse). After charging it lasts about two weeks or so depending on your usage. It is lighter and the response is so good.

Mouse is great. I really like the swipe functionality that you can add to swipe website pages or scroll up and down. It connected very easily and being that it's an Apple branded product, there's extra features that you can setup that are specific to this mouse. My only complaint would be the ergonomics of the mouse. It doesn't provide a lot of support for your wrist so if you're going to be using the mouse constantly for home/work you may want to look into a different mouse. I personally switch between the Magic Mouse and the trackpad so this works perfect for me.

As a human, I must say that the Apple magic mouse is truly a game-changing device. From its sleek design to its seamless functionality, this mouse is a must-have for any technology enthusiast. The touch-sensitive surface allows for effortless scrolling and the customizable gestures make navigating through tasks a breeze. Not to mention, the long battery life and effortless pairing with Apple devices make it incredibly convenient. I can confidently say that the Apple magic mouse has exceeded all of my expectations and has greatly enhanced my overall computing experience. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new mouse. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Good but with a design flaw

One of the best features of the Magic Mouse is that its tactile and therefore, it allows you to use gestures. This makes it very convenient when you don't have a trackpad or as an option when using a laptop. The pairing is also very easy to do. It also comes with a USB C to Lightning braided cable for charging. And even though the charging port is under the mouse, it charges quite fast and it lasts for a long time before you need to charge it again. Some cons are that the pointer sometimes feels somewhat slow or laggy even when adjusting the settings. However, this gets compensated by the use of gestures. The main flaw is its design. The top seems to be made of clear acrylic with sharp edges. Because it feels somewhat heavy while in use, it can feel painful when used for a prolonged period of time. Even though this can be easily fixed by buying a silicone mouse cover, at this price point this shouldn't be an issue. The bottom line is, I do recommend it. It is a good purchase, however, get a mouse cover as it has bad ergonomics.

Was skeptical initially thinking that there are cheaper options available in the market, but once I started using it I understood there’s nothing better than these mouse, although, the charging port is at the bottom which means you can’t use it while charging but believe me it’s been a year since I am
Using it and I don’t even remember the last time I charged it. Worths every single penny! Happy buying!

It might not be the best ergonomics but The Magic Mouse is sleek, responsive, and fits perfectly in hand. It connects seamlessly to my MacBook, and the gestures make navigation effortless. The battery life is excellent, and charging via the lightning port is quick and easy. Perfect for those who prioritize aesthetics and functionality in their accessories.

The MacBook Air and Apple Magic mouse go hand-in-hand. Yes, it is the perfect marriage, as the adage goes. I bought one ten years ago and it still works perfectly! Sure, I dropped it a few times, but it is still in great condition. I invested in a brand new one to match my new computer. There is a lot to the saying, "Upgrade your life!" Best Buy affords one with the opportunity to do so with frequent sales, reasonable discounts, and a blockbuster variety and selection of items.

I definitely love this mouse! It’s easy to maneuver and it’s lightweight. It feels good in the hand, too. I love how you can scroll with no physical scroll and you can swipe between pages too like you would on the trackpad. The only thing I DON’T like is that there is no “tap to click”. On a trackpad most people use the tap to click instead of actually having to press the button. You cant tap on this mouse to click. Makes no sense since you can double tap to zoom in on something using this mouse. But just one tap to choose something? Nope. Really stinks having to press the mouse fully. But the other benefits outweigh this one negative side.
