I love this magic trackpad. I purchased it so I could put my laptop on a stand and get the monitor to eye height. The trackpad works wireless and is very reliable.

Never used a track pad until now, and I won't go back to a regular mouse. This is a very smooth accessory and once I got used to it, it's really sped my edit workflow up. I've had it since June and haven't had to charge it, either.

It does what it says on the box.
I have a Macbook air that I use for work and hobbyist music production. Setting my computer on a pedestal for better viewing angles or away from instrument was irritating until I got this to allow me to use the same gestures that I normally would.
It was a bit pricey, especially compared to similar offerings or the magic mouse but overall nothing else could do what this does with the same ease of use or quality.

Th Trackpad is an outstanding accessory that exceeds expectations in usability. It’s not just good—it’s better than a traditional mouse! Paired with a Mac Mini, it becomes an invaluable tool for smooth and intuitive navigation.
Even though I purchased a second-hand unit, it’s practically indistinguishable from new in terms of quality and performance. The build is solid, the touch surface is highly responsive, and gestures work flawlessly, making it a joy to use for both productivity and casual tasks.
Whether you're scrolling through documents, editing photos, or simply browsing, the trackpad offers precision and ease that elevate the experience. For anyone using a Mac setup, especially a Mac Mini, I strongly recommend the Magic Trackpad. It’s a worthwhile investment that enhances the overall workflow!

Great product as a mouse/trackball alternative. Excellent sensitivity and customization once you find the right program to use it/configure it with Windows. (Hint: Magic Trackpad Utilities, found after Google searches and other "backdoor" methods did not work for Windows [i have Bluetooth on my PC, but can also buy a USB on Amazon if you don't]. Bought the full version of the 3rd party software today [<$20] and will update if it does NOT work how I think it will.) May not be the best for all applications (i.e, gaming) until you get used to it and configured correctly. As a mouse replacement, 5 stars. Also, probably 5 stars if you are using it with Mac. lol

Was a little worried about the battery life, especially as an Open Box item, but it works flawlessly. Very happy with it on those terms. Coming from always using a mouse, it takes a little getting used to.

I’m not normally a fan of touchpads: one of the first things I do when setting up a new laptop is connecting a mouse and disabling the touchpad. However, Apple’s Magic Trackpad is so good on my Macbook Air that I decided to use one with my Mac mini in addition to a mouse. It is positioned to the left of the keyboard for the gestures that MacOS supports, especially the three finger swipe to switch virtual desktops. I would absolutely recommend this if you can afford it; it was worth every penny.

I really needed something to edit photos on my iMac with instead of a mouse and I couldn’t do it without this. Love the ease of use, charge lasts a long time, much more convenient.

The newest Magic TrackPad works very well. I added it to my new Mac Studio - it's like having a MacBook trackpad for your desktop. The advantage over a mouse is that you only move your finger, so you don't need a lot of space on your desk, as you would with a mouse. It's very intuitive and responsive - no lag at all! I even have an older TrackPad I use with a keyboard for my iPad Pro 12.9 in the office!

A Good Trackpad, Not Good for Multi-Screens

PROS: The trackpad itself works very well. I have enjoyed using it when working with photo editing software. Besides your fingers, you can also use a soft tip stylus pen on the trackpad. Gestures are very intuitive.
CONS: It's not great when working with multiple monitors. Dragging files or windows across a large space can be challenging.

Sits perfectly next to my Apple keyboard. With all the gestures, my arm, wrist, and fingers are doing less work. I doubt I’ll ever go back to using a mouse on my Mac Studio.

If these worked with any OS that would be amazing. I "hear" there are some workarounds, but I don't like opening doors for potential security issues on my non-Apple stuff. I'd like a wired one even more. I don't know why everything has to be wireless. It'd last darn near forever and the latency would be nil. I guess I just answered my own question...

Bought this for my Mac mini and i love it! So easy to use cause its the same gestures as an iPhone or iPad. Tried the magic mouse, a nice mouse but the ergonomics of it was awkward at least for me. Very well built and feels substantial. Battery life is great so far with 2 to 3 hrs a day of use. My estimate is probably 5 to 6 months on a charge. Highly recommended.
