My original cord that came with my MacBook decided to break after over two years of working on the go. Had to break down and buy a new power cord. No other options. Does exactly what I needed. Wish they would be cheaper though! Apple products seem to always be high priced and never use coupons etc.

Standard issue charger for a MacBook Pro, can't go wrong with the original Apple brand that is suggested to use. I do find if pricey, but what laptop charger isn't these days? Would certainly suggest for the purpose of safety, rather than relying on 3rd party knock-offs.

Dog chewed through original charger and needed a new one. Own old MacBook and this charger does the job. For such an item, the only possible rating is either 5 stars or no stars (pass/fail) Only had a month, but no issues to date. How long that remains the case has yet to be determined. Just need to keep away from the kids.

We had a lightning strike at the house and fortunately the power supply for my MacBook Pro took the brunt of the strike instead of the laptop itself. I went by the Apple store and it was so crowded I couldn't find a parking space so I came to Best Buy and of course they had what I needed. It's a newer version but works perfectly. Apple products....can't live without them but boy do they cost!! $85 for a charging cord...!! Wow!

I needed a new charger bc my roommate’s dog chewed mine up, so I bought it from Best Buy instead of the Apple store bc BB was closer. Still a great purchase. I don’t any functional differences. Still an Apple certified product so go where it’s more convenient for you.

This charger works great - I had my original for at least 7 years prior and worked like a charm. The only reason I had to buy a new one was because my new puppy chewed the old one. This new one works great too, looking forward to it lasting at least another 7 years (given the puppy doesn't get to it again).

This is my second power adapter that is replacing the original one that came with my 2010 Macbook pro. My original cord tore at the computer end after a little after two years of gentle use. That's my main complaint about the power adapters, is that they tear up even when being used gently. Other than that, I really enjoy it. The cord is nice and long, and the little magnet in the end makes it easy to plug into my laptop.

Glad best buy had the older charger still in stock. Wifes charger stopped working the day before a new internship and this worked perfectly.

Nothing like genuine accessories from Apple—they'll work as intended, and there's no need to worry about knockoffs.

The power cord for my Mac was no longer working, and I needed one quickly. I hopped online, there was one available in the store, and I had points to use! Picked it up within an hour of ordering. Would only use Apple replacement parts, and was happy it was available.

I have read several reviews of power adapters melting batteries. I decided to purchase certified Apple products because of this. I suggested you don't risk melting your batteries because you purchased an off brand power supply. Power supplies are one item you don't want to skimp money on.

This cord worked perfectly for my year and model of macbook pro! My old one was getting very worn/dirty/torn, so it was time to replace. After researching what type to get, I got this one and it charges my laptop quickly!

This is a great charger. It was a big upgrade from my new one that was chewed up and dirty. I loved that it came with an extender cord as well and it was marked down (used but still looked and functioned like new)

Excellent match for an older computer. Just put in your specs and start your Best Buy search of what products they can provide. Excellent source for what you might need.

Contrary to popular belief, these power supplies can last a lifetime with just basic care, like not letting your pets chew on it. They are also very safe for the user and for the computer.

Worked as expected. The adapter was genuine Apple product and the description ensured that I chose the right adapter. The packaging was easy to get into, the magnetic connector has saved the MacBook several times with kids. The adapter can get hot sometimes, ensure that it is not covered or wrapped while in use.

I bought this cord back in January because the cord I previously bought online from another vendor gave out within a few months. So far this cord has been working fine. My original apple cord lasted for about 6 years, the off brand replacement lasted less than a year. So hopefully this one does the job.

This adapter lives up to Apple's reputation for high quality. Includes an extension cord for optional use when extra length is needed. The design of the magnetic connector is a real improvement over the original power adapter that came with my 8 year old Mac Book Pro.

Worked great! I like how you can choose if you want the chord long or short.
