For some strange reasons, the MagSafe 2 (the charger for all MacBook Pros after June 2012) is very hard to find. Even my local Apple Stores and Best Buys are short on them; online, every time I order what is purportedly a 'MagSafe 2' always ends up being the original MagSafe and I would have to return it. After waiting for a couple of months for the MagSafe 2 to be in stock locally (so I can in person verify that it IS a MagSafe 2 at the time of purchase!), I got tired of waiting and decided to buy the original MagSafe at Best Buy with a $10 adapter. Works like a dream with the adapter so no complaints. Only wish Apple had better anticipated the demand for its MagSafe 2 and adequately stock their retail and online stores. I dropped the rating to 4 stars because of the trouble I had to go through -- I swear I had tried at least five Apple Stores and 3 Best Buys!

The product itself is great, easy to get out of the package, easy to find in the store, and easy to plug in to get to work. However, I'm unhappy that they need to be replaced as often as they do and that the replacement is so costly. I reinforced the parts that would wear with use, and my original cord still only last 2 years. With all our advancements in technology, I feel these cords should last much longer. I also feel that for the price ($50), they should be better quality. If you need a replacement, this product is great. The problem is that we need to replace the original at all.

I have gone through one charger already, but this stronger one should work a lot better. It has charged quickly and powerfully so far and I have no complaints with it or any other apple product I have used yet

I didn't know whether my macbookpro (2013) would be compatible with this charger, but I found out that as long as the voltage meets or exceeds, then it's okay. Charges my Mac perfectly

It was just what I was looking for. It keeps my Mac Book completely charged and hasn't shorted out like the other cheaper products I had tried before. Definitely worth the money spent.

I have had my MacBook Pro for over 7 years and the power cord had been abused! It finally broke and I needed a new one. The new design is sleeker and works better in cramped spaces!

I bought this charger as the charger to my 2011 MacBook Pro died. I’ve had it for about 1 month now and it has worked great! My laptop charges very fast. I was in dire need of a charger and BestBuy’s website said I could have it delivered within 4 hours of ordering it (which I truly thought was a glitch on their end). I was shocked when I received an email about 1.5 hours after ordering that it had been delivered!! Once again, BestBuy never fails to deliver quality products and exceptional service!

Of course the Mac laptop needs this, and some original adapters that came with the laptop have been known to fail after a while. This was such a replacement for me and it worked perfectly.

This charger was to replace the one that got chewed to pieces. I love the ability to use either two or three prongs. This really gives you a lot of options when looking for an outlet.

This was a great replacement of my 65 watt, which burned out. It charges my MacBook Pro quicker than the previous one but is slightly larger and falls out of the socket once in awhile.

Replacement charger for my Apple laptop. Works great and the charger seems cooler to touch than the original one. My kitten chewed up the original one.

I ordered an adaptor at a 3rd party website, and only about a year later it stopped working. I though my computer was broken! when I plugged in the old adaptor the light would turn orange, never go green, and the computer would fail to turn on. when I bought the 3rd party charger they claimed it was for a 15" macbook pro. after much frustration, I took the computer and adaptor into Apple (again, thinking my late 2008 macbook pro was dead). That's when I learned the adaptor was for 13" MacBooks. It was my mistake in the first place trying to save a buck. I should have just gone to best buy to begin with to buy proper, quality product.

a little heavier and larger brick than the last one, but seems to charge a bit faster. Might be my imagination.

I've now had the is charger for two months and had no problems, it charges my computer quickly and doesn't het extremely hot like the previous chargers I've had.

I decided to go for the Apple brand rather than a knockoff. I'd had bad luck with knockoffs. This works as stated. No problems at all.

Although probably not the cheapest option out there it's a safe buy. It's durable and Apple makes good products. The one that came with it lasted 3 years

It's very durable. And it's obviously compatible with my MAC laptop because it's an apple product. I love the fact that it has an extended cord.

This unit replaced the original one that came with my Mac. It's working great and it seems to be more durable, perhaps built to newer standards.
