Lost the charger that came with my notebook. Fast charging and durable.

My MacBook Pro 17 came originally with the 85-watt power adapter and it worked great for several years. I've replaced it again with the same adapter because of its long lasting durability with my laptop. The new 85-watt power adapter has the same magnetic DC connector feature as before that assists me in preventing damage to the cord. This accessory is definitely a must for the MacBook Pro 17 user!

This charger is great! It charges pretty fast and doesn't get hot like the original charger that came with my MacBook Pro

The charger lasts a long time. The cord is durable. It's easy to use and it's long enough so I can plug it in where I need to.

You need this charger for macbook pros. I like the design of it, but it's the reason I needed a new one that earns this product a 3. The hot wire quite literally burnt through the insulation on my original cable oNE day. There had been no noticable bends or stress points prior as it wasn't a cable that was frequently coiled. Overall though, it's an ok charger. The magnetic nature of it has saved my macbook from a number of falls and it did last me 3 years before needing to be replaced.

I bought a replacement charger for my laptop from Amazon for half the price at Best Buy and it was sold as and appeared to be an authorized Apple product. It broke after about 6 weeks of use. I then went to Best Buy and spent the $79.99 and could instantly feel the difference in quality from the one purchased online at the other retailer. Best Buy has always stood by the product they sell and I have had no luck with the 'guarantee' I was given with my online purchase. Lesson learned, I will stay loyal to Best Buy!

If Best Buy hadn't had this in stock, I would have been lost! My charger burned out on a Wednesday night, and I had an hour long video to create and cut between Thursday morning and Sunday--not to mention other office work that only could have been done on my MacBook Pro... Best Buy in Port Huron had one ready for me at the start of the business day on Thursday! It works great!

This charger works great and may work even better than the one that was included with the laptop initially. I have a early-2011 MacBook Pro and it's charger all of a sudden stopped working. I immediately went to the store and picked up this charger and I was back in business in no time. I feel my laptop is now charging faster than before, though this could have been a sign the older charger was going. Note: This is for the older MagSafe computers and not the MagSafe2 which is on the newer MacBooks

Replaced my charger for my MacBook Pro and the rep was very helpful and yet even more than apple themselves. I bought the adapter too because it was the old MagSafe and when the apple lady told me you didn't need it, I was confused. So because I had a gift to BB, I went to but it there instead and they told me I did. So I bought incase I need it and yes gladly they told me because I would of been upset knowing that the apple rep didn't even know it and would of need to return to buy it.

Charges fast and easy to carry, packs well and durable connectors. Takes up little space in my business or personal carry all .

This power adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is price and size. There are other companies making adapters with the same wattage that are smaller and less expensive, which would be nice since the adapter is for a vintage MacBook Pro. Many people may not want to spend as much on a replacement adapter for a computer that may not have that many years of use left (or at least use as their primary machine). As always, the MagSafe feature is great, wish the new MacBook Pros still had that as an option.

It's an awesome charger made by Apple. Are we surprised that it works great? I love it! I love all Apple products... I would totally buy again if I ever need it replaced. I purchased the computer from a friend and he had used a non-Apple charger and it might have messed up his battery. This is why I chose to use only Apple made products for my devices.

Good charger like the magnetic release come on durable, gets a little warm while charging
