This charger is easy tom use and durable. Plugs in easily to the wall.

Make sure to ask a representative around if you are getting the correct one (bring computer details with you including year and size of model). I wasn't sure but they helped me get the right one. I've tried off brands from but they always seem to over heat and eventually burn out. It might cost a little more now but better for long run.

There's a few accessories for Apple products that you can buy off-brand and be okay. But for the charger, I will ALWAYS buy Apple brand. On my first Macbook I tried to get a cheaper charger and bought an off-brand one. It turned out to be really cheaply made, and fell apart within a couple months. It's worth it to get something quality that will last.

I had a 2015 MacBook and the charger broke. I was having the hardest time finding an original Apple charger. I purchased one from Amazon but it wasn't an Apple brand. It wouldn't charge the computer properly. Finally, I found this one and it is almost like the original one that came with MacBook. But most important, it is an Apple.

I purchased this item so I did not have to keep brining the power brick home with me. The form is great as it does not take up much room. i also bring it with me to a dialysis clinic some times for long computing tasks like you tubing for about 3 1/2 hours. Even though I have a mac book pro it still rains the battery down. Does not take up any space in my laptop carrying case.

This extension cord has the long cord and the short plug form. It works great

About an hour into my road trip i realized i forgot the charger for my 2009 Mac Book Pro. Used my Google Map app to find a Best Buy closest to my route and made an emergency stop - and yes they had it in stock. What a life saver!!! i decided to keep it in my travel bag so I will always have it with me. If you travel a lot it is a nice convenience.

When dealing with Apple products, it's always best to go with the Apple manufacture product. Considering there's not many other options when it comes to MacBook chargers, this one meets the mark. It's worth the expense of price tag. Over a year after I originally purchased it, it shows no where in tear. Or use it daily and it still works fine.

I recently purchased a new Apple-made power supply for my MacBook Pro laptop. It works great. But I should never have had to buy a new one! Bow wow, woof woof.... Grrrr. BUT, I HAD to buy a new power supply because, in my opinion, the DESIGN of this power supply is very poor. Yes, I said APPLE POOR DESIGN. If you use an Apple laptop, you know that the power supply is very awkward to handle and use. It rarely stays where you put it. I do LIKE the magnetic connection at the laptop end. It's a great idea, and it keeps the thinner cord attached to the laptop port quite well. The thicker cable behaves differently than most power or extension cords behave. I think the way this cable behaves (it's sort of "springy" and it resists being coiled) contributed to the way the square part to which it is attached (on my old, now broken, power supply) fell off the bed and hit my hardwood floor. Something inside broke. It now rattles when shaken. To be just plain safe, I decided to replace my old, rattling, power supply with a new one. The square, white, plastic part (which is the heaviest part of the power supply) needs a re-design! I think some kind of protective cover would help protect this part when it does fall down - because it does fall quite often. Maybe something like a cell phone protective case, designed to fit and allowed to vent the heat that's produced. Otter makes a great one for my cell phone... It makes me wonder if new power supply sales keep Apple's profits up.... That Darn Apple Power Supply!!

I had gotten a non apple charger from Amazon that lasted me a year and a half after I tripped over the original and ripped the cord.... but it died and I decided to shell out the money for an apple one and it was deff worth it just feel better made and heavier

This charger works great! I knew it would. I went the cheaper route and purchased an off brand, way less expensive charger....One of those chargers from China off of Amazon and it almost damaged my computer. That was a horrible decision! Yes, this charger from Apple is costly, but it works perfectly! Hey, you get what you pay for....Another lesson learned.

I rescued an amazing beagle puppy girl a few weeks ago. She's 7 months old and as pups will do, she chewed my power cord for the adapter on my Macbook Pro. Granted the plug was 5 years old so.....I found the updated replacement adapter on BestBuy at a great price. Love it! The updated adapter really is streamlined and the magnetic plug attached to my 2009 Macbook nicely.

Replace a 65 w power adapter that when in use would get HOT work great now.

My dog chewed through my Mac cord and then a second brand new one before we learned to keep it off the floor! Ugh! I was supposed to get a 60W power adapter, but this 85W one had been returned and was discounted. The guy helping me said it would work and it works with my 2010 (refurbished with a SSD) MacBook Pro just fine.

I had to purchase another charger after my original finally quit. The technician at Best Buy told me that to have my computer still in great condition, and original charger finally giving out after these last few years is a pretty great feat! I do find that it was expensive, but all of my information and work on my computer is priceless. Definitely worth it!

Replaced MacBook charger because the cord frayed and completely broke off the initial charger. This cord is better because it's much longer and has an actual plug as well as the flip out prongs from the square. So you can use either. I still think the wire going into the square is vulnerable but seems to be more reinforced than original.
