    Love the Pencil

Just purchased the iPad Pro 12.9" and pencil to replace a Wacom Cintiq Companion for Art creation. Just have to say, I love it. I love the feel of the pencil and with the addition of a Matte screen protector, I love the feel while drawing / painting on the iPad Pro. Also, the pencil is great for taking notes and doodling, etc. It is pretty amazing. The only real issue I have with the Pencil, is not really with the Pencil, but the fact that Apple did not incorporate some means of storage for the Pencil when it is not being used into their design, like Samsung and Microsoft offers with their Tablets / Phablets. But with the help of Insignia Pencil strap, I am able to attach the pencil to the iPad's case for safe storage. So far no issues with that. So if you purchasing an iPad Pro, its a no-brainer, purchase a pen too.

This is a great product. I honestly purchased it thinking I would use it more than I do but I didn’t have the iPad while I was going through school in which this pen would’ve come in clutch. As for it’s ease of use it’s a great product. I’m glad it comes with an adapter to charge the pen via lightning cable because charging it by connecting it directly into the iPad is just not doable . If you’re not using the iPad then fine but if you are then it looks ridiculous so apple did at least think that part through. Also, if the battery is low on it, it only takes like 30 seconds of a charge and you get another 15 minutes out of it! That’s amazing. I just wish there were more apps that I could use it for, like coloring and whatnot. Other than that this is a phenomenal product and I recommend it, Just because I can’t put it to its full potential because I don’t go to school or have a job that I need writing software or web based searching all the time, I can’t give this less than 5 stars. The price of it however..... a little steep and for a little while I did regret buying it. At a lower price point, this would look more attractive to a lot more people I’m sure. But it is an apple product!

Was not sure if I needed Apple Pencil but after buying iPadPro 10.5, it made sense to add it for online college classes. CONS: * Charging on the side of iPad is kinda weird * No place to store it on iPad or Apple smart keyboard * Wish it worked on my iPhone too * Expensive PROS: * Pairs so easily * Charges fast * Writes like real paper and pencil * Smooth writing even with glass protector * Great for note taking, journals, drawing, editing documents or photos. * Works great with filling out online forms or PDF files Great for those who still like the feeling of writing on paper/pencil. I use it for journaling. Also fun to send handwritten notes via email or text. There are also Apps that can convert handwriting to text!

The accuracy, pressure sensitivity, and tilt sensitivity make this an incredible stylus. It's better than any other you can get on an ipad. Although it's because apple crippled the other decent styluses in the iPad Air 2 on purpose. It doesn't feel as nice to write on the screen as the Surface Pro 4 pen does though. The rubber tip on the Surface stylus provides just the right amount of grip to feel like a real pen, and the hefty weight make it feel like a nicer pen. The Apple Pencil clicks on the screen when you write and moves too fast. That can sort of be addressed with a matte screen protector, but then you lose a good bit of clarity in the display. I'm not a fan of the cheesy white plastic, it's too... 2003, as opposed to the aluminum surface pro 4 pen. Great pen though. It does come with a little adapter to charge with the cord instead of having to look stupid in public plugging it directly into the ipad to charge.

I really like the functionality that this device unlocks for the iPad. It is very easy to sync with the iPad, you just plug it in to the device. It is highly portable, but it is very easy to lose the cap which covers the Lightning connector. I highly recommend purchasing one of the silicone "holders" which connects to the pencil and its cap to keep them from eternal separation. If you drop that cap, you might never find it again. As with all Apple products, this device's price is quite inflated. This is because Apple must maintain those notoriously high profit margins. The battery life seems to have a great deal of variability. Having been fully charged, it may last a long period of time, or it may be only a few hours. I have yet to determine the cause for the wide variability. The device will afford you several hours of use with just 15 minutes of charging. The Apple Pencil almost never lags when writing, coloring, or sketching on the iPad Pro or the 6th gen iPad.

I'm not exaggerating, this pencil works flawlessly, nice addition to latest budget ipad, ipad air 3rd gen and ipad mini 2019, it has a lot of precision, easy to use, I don't like to charge it plug into the ipad unless I don't have other way it just takes like 5 min and you are good to go for a long period, a full charge might take about 1 hour from wall charger and last many hours or weeks in stand by, very reliable product, I know you might think but apple pencil 2 should be better well I think they operates about the same just apple pencil 2 charges in a different way and it has matte texture for grip, I like both, but this one works with a wide option of ipads while apple pencil 2 just with the latest ipad pro that's a bummer.

Was told this would work on my current iPad...sadly it did not. I was looking at an iPad Pro anyways so found one and this pencil is an amazing tool! Very precise, easy to use, fast charging! A must have if you like drawing or are a designer or even use it to edit photos. A little on the overpriced side but it is worth it

Wish this had wireless charging but other than that a really nice pen. I love how it feels in the hand and it works well with my ipad for art in procreate and Clip Studio Paint. My only complaint is the charging, which is stupid looking AND makes this pen more likely to break from even a small accident. My last pen broke while charging because it fell off after bumping into my ipad with it dangling off the lightning port. Overall good if you have an older ipad and aren't looking to replace it yet :)

The apple pencil is one of the most responsive stylus I have ever used. Perhaps wacom makes more responsive ones, but I have not used theirs. In general, I have been pleased with it. My one complaint (and it is annoying) is the little bitty parts you must keep to get the most out of it. The magnetic cap on the end is very small and VERY easy to lose if you're forgetful like me. The charging adapter is also very necessary when you need to give it a charge and is so small I can't see myself not losing at some point in the coming years. If apple could somehow integrate these itty bitty parts into the pencil I would be satisfied, but for these reasons I have taken a star off. Another point is that there is no eraser function on the top of the pencil (as there is with the surface pen), but this is not a big deal as the pencil works better then the surface without question in my opinion and all you need to do is tap the eraser symbol to erase, which takes about as long as flipping the thing over. A pet peeve of an issue, but it would make it feel more "pencil-ly" i suppose.

The Apple pencil works really well paired with my ipad pro 10.5". It has great pencil pressure sensors and can also use the edge to shade with certain apps. It writes wonderfully on the screen and I dont feel like it scratches it. I put a screen protector on my ipad though anyways to protect it from everything else. Charging the pencil works fine, though awkward due to plugging it into the iPad port pointing straight out. There's other adapters out there to charge but I haven't found it neccessary to get them. I just charge the pencil up during the 10 minutes or less that I'm doing something else. It charges quickly and only takes maybe 1% power from the iPad which is barely anything to fully charge the pencil.

I originally tried to purchase The Apple pencil before Christmas and hope that I would receive it before Christmas… That did not happen. This device was nowhere to be found… At least at the time I was looking. I take quite a bit of notes which is the reason I wanted this Apple pencil. My daughter also loves to draw. Both of us had originally going to the Apple Store just to test it out. Both she and I fell in love with it. Although it's $99, I believe it's well worth it. The Apple pencil is extremely responsive and very accurate. Every once in a while I will have to charge it but the iPad will let me know when it's necessary. Plug it in for approximately 20 minutes and you're good to go for a very long time. Great assess three if you need to use your drawing and handwriting capabilities.

I've been using the Apple plencil for a while now, and I got to say that this is just as good a tool as high end Wacom stylus on a Cintiq (with the advantage of being more portable and cheaper). The latency is pretty much imperceptible, the pressure sensitivity works greatand is even customizable inside drawing apps. It feels very ergonomic, the battery lasts quite a while and is quick to charge. It is kinda silly the way you have to charge it, but you can get half an hour of use by leaving it connected for a few seconds, and you can also charge it with the included adapter so it's not a big deal. This is a great tool for both artists and students (or just people who take notes a lot), can't recommend this enough.

I bought the iPad Pro when it was first released and kept deciding I didn’t need an Apple Pencil. When receiving some forms that needed to be filled out by hand, I finally went for it. It’s awesome! I can fill out forms on my iPad Pro, make corrections as needed, and print the forms. No mess, no fuss! It also works well as a stylus when using things like Remote Desktop to a Windows device or when playing games. The way it works with drawing apps is also amazing. It knows how hard you’re pressing and feels just like using colored pencils to draw. Being able to take freehanded notes in OneNote or Apple notepad is pretty nice for when I need to draw an idea. Apple Pencil is an essential iPad Pro accessory!

This stylus has almost no lag, it’s pressure sensitive, it charges right off the bottom of the iPad if it’s dying and you need some power fast, the battery lasts for days, and it’s just nice to use.

I bought the Apple Pencil the same time as a bought my IPad Pro. When I got it I was excited to try it out. For sure it takes alot of work to get usto. Once you get into it, it's alot of fun. You do need to get apps that are made for it, it's fun to color with and it's great at meetings. In the end I do recommend it.

Functionally, this is the best tablet stylus I have ever used. It is highly responsive and has many levels of sensitivity which allow you to use it very artistically. It also has good app support across the board for everything I have needed it for from Adobe to Astropad. It also has a very nice weight that gives it a quality feel. However, there are a few issues. For one thing, there is no on/off function, which means battery management takes some guess work if you have it close to the iPad and Bluetooth on. The included charging dongle means you don't have to charge it via the iPad, which is nice. The magnetic cap is easy to lose. Finding a case to hold it is not so easy. Even pen loops don't work well because it is narrow and slick without a clip, so that's a little drawback. Overall, it works really well, though it seems about 25% more expensive than it needs to be, and if you know the few drawbacks of the design and can use it as intended, it's worth it. I'd certainly buy it again.

The pencil is a microtechnology wonder for the average consumer. It does work very well with the apps, including M/S Office (free version). The point is way different then a regular pen/pencil, but, with a little practice not a problem. A downside to the pencil is the really small female/female connector to charge the pencil with a wall charger. Very easy to lose. Also the charging cap is small, magnetic connection and very easy to drop/misplace. Recommend buying the loop cap for about $5. At least it stays with the pencil and you won't panic if it breaks off. If you free hand write or draw a lot, then I would consider a purchase. Just take time to practice with it until you get the pressure right.
