    Best stylus I’ve used. Period.

Now let me say, I’m an amateur artist (not my main job but I do dabble). Since I’ve gotten into digital art I have tried the Apple Pencil, the Wacom bamboo stylus, the surface pen, and the Lenovo active pen 2. The Apple Pencil/iPad combo is without question the best out of all of the above. I used my surface pen (latest gen) with a surface go, pro 6, and an HP Envy 2-in-1 laptop. There is jitter with the SP (although the app you use does affect this)z the Wacom pen was great, unfortunately I ended up with a device that required the Lenovo AP2 and so I didn’t keep it. I say all of that to say the Apple Pencil is far superior to all of those. I have experienced a jittery line with my pencil ONE time. The battery is satisfactory and I will say that I have a dock that makes the weird adapter obsolete so that enhances my experience a bit. The size and weight of the pencil is great in my hands and it’s very comfortable. Nothing will ever feel like a pencil on paper, but I was seriously considering giving up on digital drawing/sketching until I used the Apple Pencil. I do wish it had the ‘eraser tip’ that the surface pen has but I’ll take the lack of jitter in the nib any day!

The Best Option if You Own a Compatible iPad

I’ll start with the negative which is the cap that can very easily be lost. The tip of the pencil is also not that durable after a couple of months of use. The tip seems to develop so kind of bump when you use it fo an extended amount of time. The pressure sensitivity of pen is great for writing notes but not as good for drawing. The weight is also good as it emulates the weight of a big pencil which I prefer for a good writing experience.

    Good first version accessory

This is not the current pencil version so it doesn’t come with all the improvements of the new pencil but this one is the only one compatibility with my 2017 iPad Pro. It is pricey but it is a quality accessory. The pencil is highly accurate with simulating pressure sensitivity. It is annoying that you have to charge it by removing the cap (I ended up purchasing a cable to specifically charge it rather than charging it in the iPad). Other than that it is good investment.

This works great with the 12.9 iPad pro. I use it primarily for note taking, and it works great. My kids enjoying using it to draw and doodle. It is really responsive, and I like that it charges off the iPad. The battery last a while. I use it a few times a week, and it will last a few weeks on a charge. I will be purchasing a new macbook pro and based on rumors, it will be able to be used on track pad.

    Apple Pen for Ipad Pro

Cons - Price, Charging the pen requires a small double female lightning connector that is easily lost. Very small connector. Pros - Apple Product, works as intended, makes working with Ipad Pro easier to be very detailed and specific. Yes I know you can use your finger but this pen is very engineered fine specific. Great for manipulation in small scale and great for photo editing.

We use this Apple Pencil to create and color in drawings on our iPad and it works great! It's smooth, feels good in your hand, and is very precise. It works wonders compared to those cheaper styluses. If you plan on doing any kind of illustrations or note taking, I would highly recommend this Apple Pencil.

I was seriously debating whether or not to get the Pencil. Glad I did. Great for writin and drawing. Apps like Notability can tell the difference between your finger and the stylus, you can use your finger for scrolling and the pencil for writing. Charging is a breeze. The challenge is not losing the charging cap when charging the pencil. Great to have the pencil battery life show up on the iPad.

The Apple Pencil is simply an amazing tool for any creators with an iPad Pro. Apple Pencil makes creating on your iPad an easy and fun experience, it is very responsive so it feels natural and allows you to create more than you could on iPad before. The device connects to your iPad easily, battery life is amazing, charging is easy and convenient, and performance is just awesome.

I love this pen it allows me to make my edits with photos and write and even draw. It knows how much pressure I am applying and shading and is great over all. I have to admit when it first came out I made fun of this until I was gifted one and got one for my better half in the end! I recommend it if you can see yourself using it for photo edits and drawing and writing! Yes!

I purchased the Apple Pencil about a month ago with the iPad Pro 12.9". I'm a graphic designer and my main reason for purchasing both products was to do handlettering using the ProCreate app. The Apple Pencil is great and well made. Extremely responsive, battery life is good, and I love that when the battery is low that it charges super fast! I definitely recommend it if you're considering it!

The Apple Pencil is precise and works flawlessly with all the apps that support the pencil . It is perfect with Photoshop and even adult coloring books. Just plug it in to the Lightning port on your iPad for 30 seconds and get 30 minutes of use or you can plug it in to your iPad charging cable with the supplied adapter to completely charge it. If you get the iPad Pro (either size) get the Apple Pencil.

This is the first pencil I've purchased, and I am very happy with how responsive and reliable it is. It feels good in the hand and the weighting of it helps it not roll off the table. It would be nice to have a connection between the cap to the charging port and the pencil so it cannot be lost. It holds it charge nicely, although I don't use for several hours at a time.

I got the Apple Pencil with my new iPad purchase. I was extremely impressed with the precision of the pencil on the screen. I also love the feature that allows me to draw with the pencil and rest my hand on the screen without it messing up my work. That is huge! I love the way the pencil feels to hold. It has a sturdy feel to it.

You must get this if you plan on getting the ipad pro! I find myself using it all the time. I help run a business and take notes constantly, so I bought this to go along with the ipad pro after I found out what it does. I've completely replaced my paper notebook with the ipad pro since I found that this apple pencil can write on it. If you are a artist, you will love this too! There are a few new apps that are available in the app store that work with the apple pencil. It has a special tip that uses the pressure you put on the ipad to make darker or light strokes on the screen and is very accurate. So far I haven't experienced any delay or lag when using the pencil. It's very responsive! The other cool feature is that you can charge the pencil right from your ipad. Just plug the end into the lightning connection and it charges right up real quick. So fast that if you're in a hurry to use it, plug it in for a couple minutes and you've got plenty of power to work with. Only thing it doesn't allow you to do is swipe from the edges of the screen to be able to access the quick menus, but not a big deal, just use your finger. I recommend that you purchase a screen protector though, I found when dust and stuff got on the screen and you go to use the pencil it feels and sounds like it grinds a little bit. Definitely a must buy if you're getting the new ipad pro!

Great product, lightweight and easy to write with. Much better than other styluses I've used. Feels like writing with a regular pen. Using apple pencil & iPad together has changed my studying to almost paperless. Only downside is how often it needs to be charged since there is no way to turn it off. This is mitigated though by how quickly it recharges.

This is a great accessory for the iPad. Precise and comfortable. Easy to charge and pair. The only thing I needs to be corrected is the cap because the magnet that holds the cap in the pen is weak and the cap comes off easily. Apple does include an extra tip but no extra cab. Overall....... It is great product.

    Apple Pen

This is one of the more useful things that apple has put out to accompany the iPad Pro. The pen is very precise, charges quickly and is not fragile. I have dropped it a few times, unfortunately, and have had no issues. If you enable the battery widget on the iPad Pro it will display the amount of charge on the iPad and the Pen. P.S. I am using the pen to type this review.

I've tried all types of stylus' (styli?) on many different screens. Next to the S Pen from Samsung, the Apple Pencil is definitely one of the best screen-writing experiences. The pencil feels great in the hand, and the writing is near 1-1. I still feel like it's a bit on the pricey side, but it does have any easy way to recharge, unlike many other active stylus's (styli).

I had a couple challenges with it pairing at first, but it works just like a pen or pencil and it is fun to use with the iPad Pro. It is cool how adding pressure darkens what you are writing, just like a real pencil. Very cool. It charges easily and quickly by plugging it into the iPad directly. A bit pricey - like the rest of the Apple products - but I'm glad I invested in it.

    Best stylist ever BUT

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I just purchased my new Apple Pencil today so it's fresh out of the box, so I don't know if it'll get better or not. but for now it is so slippery that it slides right through my fingers while I'm writing or drawing. so I took the rubber grip from a pen and I slid it over the new Apple Pencil.problem solved . other than it being slippery, to me it's the best stylist ever. I have to admit $100 for a stylist is a bit pricey , but I purchased a Jott script for $75 for my Ipad mini 4. and using the script on the iPad Pro versus the Apple Pencil, if the script is worth $75 the Apple Pencil has to be at least worth $150 so it is what it is. I heard that it's excellent if you draw, but I can't draw a conclusion. so I mostly use it for notetaking and diagrams. works great for me. TRIED IT ON OTHER APPLE PRODUCTS. NO GO. ITS FOR I PAD PRO ONLY.
