Great little pencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best purchase in a while. Works great with the drawing apps plus converts cursive Toto text accurately and quickly. It also saves my wrist from repetition motions. I also use itt when reading ebooks

Great if you purchase a grip
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pencil works great. I have no issues with it not connecting, or losing a connection. The battery life is great, and if it does start to drop, it charges pretty quickly. The only downside is that the outside is entirely a hard plastic, which can get slippery if using it for too long at a time. I went out and purchased a basic foam pencil grip from an office supply store for $1.50 for three, and it works beautifully.

Extremely Precise !
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's nothing like it on the market. You can literally point to a dot on the screen to make a selection. Great to just navigating the screen, surfing the net, don't out to reach out as far with your finger, just use the pencil to scroll and select. Drawing is great. Used it with my 5 year old, teaching hime to write his letters and numbers. Just hope that developers & Apple start refining the apps and iOS to better use the power of the iPad Pro and the Pencil functionality.

Good but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the weight of this pencil. I don't feel like I'm going to break it. However I feel like I'm going to lose the tip or the cap somewhere. I do like that I can just plug it in to the iPad for it to work. Wish more 3rd party apps integrated with it. And I wish that if you were using it to write it would transfer your handwriting in to text. I mean it's an Apple product so really it's not necessary but it does up the cool factor.

The best active stylus currently
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, the apple pencil legitimately feels like an actual pencil when it comes to taking notes and drawing. There is no delay, and the precision is crazy. Second of all, it lasts 12 hours and fully charges in about 5 minutes. Great asset to have with the iPad Pro.

First gen Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second pencil. The first one stopped charging after a few years of use. I love the fine tip of this stylus for my coloring apps. The palm detection is great as well for when taking notes. What separates this from a regular stylus is the pressure sensitivity. Great for drawing apps. I have two suggestions though that in my opinion would have made this first gen better. 1. Create a regular stylus tip on the the end cap. This would allow me to use the stylus on non supported devices. 2. Come with a short charging cable. I hate plugging into charging port on my iPad as it then negates me from being able to use my iPad in portrate mode while stylus is charging. 3. I have two devices that support the Apple Pencil. I wish once paired to a device you wouldn’t have to repair after pairing on a second device.

Light weight stylus pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best ideas that apple invented.!! love how easy it is to use, charging is very simple & Pencil doesn't ruin the screen like other pencil do, only have two small issues: 1) kind of expensive 2) a bit to long for storage other then that it's great when coloring etc.

Amazing pressure and tilt sensitivity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil is very accurate and lag not even noticeable. The pressure and tilt of this device is also very accurate this is a must for people who love to take notes or draw. Pencil also charges pretty quickly. The additional adapters and charging cap are easy to lose.

Exceeded my expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pencil is amazing, it works all around very well and when an app is optimized for it, the experience is superb. I feel like a kid again with the coloring and art apps. It charges so fast. I wish that there was a way to attach it, but at the same time I'm sure that has it's own drawbacks.

Works Great on iPad 7th Gen!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Connects easily, long battery life, quick charging, and it writes just like a pen. I mainly use if for note taking and marking up pdfs in Goodnotes on my iPad (7th gen). It works perfectly every time! For reference I also had a Logitech "Crayon" and it worked, but was not as precise for writing and didn't always want to connect to my iPad. The battery and charging time just can't compare to the Apple Pencil either. This is actually the second Apple Pencil I've purchased. The first I broke the tip off (its not fragile by any means, but it will snap off!) I opted to pay a bit more for the Apple Pencil the first time and then again for my replacement pen - I haven't regretted either purchase.

Apple Pencil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love my apple pencil. Since I take lots of handwritten notes it's definitely made my life easier. I didn't give it 5 stars because I feel it is over priced and a bit slippery. I had to order a rubber gripper which made a huge difference in its use. I also wish Apple would have made a built in pencil holder or a pencil holder for the smart case. Overall I would purchase this again if it were on sale.

THe best of its kind with one major flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a heavy stylus user who have used just about every kind that exist across various platforms. The apple pencil by far feels the most natural and accurate. its flaw however is how is charged. plugging it into the bottom of the Ipad in my opinion is a major fail and is just a bad accident waiting to happen. sure you can charge it with a cable using an adapter but that is just too much. lastly I never though I would complain about having a place to store a stylus but I will say I had a hard time carrying this one around. the fact that the pencil is kind of long makes it hard to place in pocket not to mention it has no clip....anyway as I stated very accurate and is the best that I have used but major fail on some of the design aspects.

Apple got this one right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple seems to have lost their focus since Jobs died, especially on the software end. It seems like they are trying to make the next new, awesome, must have thingy too hard and not focusing on making sure their things work as close to 100% as reasonably possible; however this pencil thing is a nice exception. Sure, it's a simple thing, probably hard to screw up too badly. I have used a few other companies' pencil attempts, and they haven't ever really been that good. I'm sure it helps that Apple have complete control over both sides of the concept. Anyway, I'm rambling. This thing works well. It charges quickly, though having it stick out of the iPad is the only complaint I can think of. It's bizarre and feels like an accident waiting to happen. The pressure and angle functions work very well in my drawing and painting apps. It writes well, and just works like you want and/or expect something like this to work.

Great functionality, questionable design choices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple pencil is a great accessory for the iPad pro, and provides incredible precision and functionality, and it's hard to find a better solution for drawing, painting or handwriting on the iPad. The design of the product, presents some problems, however, like the connector cap, which is very easy to misplace, or the idea of using the iPad's port to charge the pencil leaving it sticking out the bottom of the device.

Best Stylus On The Market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a seasoned Apple user, and have also owned a Microsoft Surface Pro with the Surface Pen. I currently have the Apple IPad Pro 10.5 2nd Generation. I Can confidently say there is no comprehendable lag within handwriting applications (my personal favorite GoodNotes). The 15sec of charging for 30 minutes of use is somewhat accurate (with constant use it will not last 30 minutes from 0% charge). I strongly suggest buying a cap holder (Apple does not currently sell OEM replacement caps), you can buy third party replacement caps. I also suggest buying a dedicated lightning cable for charging the Apple Pencil with the included adapter. Pairing with the iPad is seamless, just plug it into the lightning port of the iPad, press the pair button that appears, and then you’re good to go. I strongly recommended the Apple Pencil for any IPad Pro or IPad 6th Generation.

Love! Love! Love!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazingly smooth writing. The connection is always perfect for my note taking. Feels very natural in my hand and is weighted nicely. I love that I can charge it just by plugging it into my iPad. So hoppy to not be replacing batteries all the time.

Works well but slippery
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased an older pro 9.7 and felt that I could use the pencil to write notes and sign pdf’s. I was excited that the current Air 3, 10.2 and mini 5 still support the 1st gen pencil so I can upgrade my iPad and still use this. It is awkward to plug in to either connect or charge. But Apple provides and adapter to charge it separately from the iPad. I also felt that it was very slippery to hold. I ended up buying a rubber holder for cheap on amazon that also magnetically attaches to the iPad. This has been helpful and enhanced my pencil experience. The pencil has a rubber tip and again, feels awkward writing on glass. So again, I bought a paper like screen protector which again, made the pencil experience better. To sum it up, the pencil is an amazing addition to your iPad. I wished that it came with a rubber grip so it wouldn’t slip while using. Overall, it’s a great tool.

Great iPad Stencil
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for cheaper alternatives, but they were at best $20 cheaper than the Apple Pencil, which to me wasn't worth going with a third party. If you're contemplating between this and a third party version, go with the Apple version if the price difference isn't too large. The pencil just works perfectly fine out of the box. The tip at the bottom of the pencil can come loose at times and make the pencil stop working. Just screw back in the tip if that happens. Be careful with the cap at the top of the pencil, which is incredibly easy to lose and misplace if you unscrew it to charge your pencil. You can charge it by plugging it into your iPad's charging port. Uses: Grading student homework assignments, drawing, taking notes in class.
