It's what a stylus should be...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great. Perfectly, almost. There are a few isolated apps that don't seem to recognize it properly all the time, but for the most part, it's wonderful, but not without it's flaws. First off, it's huge! thickness wise, it's OK, about the same size as most ball point pens, but it's about 2 inches longer, making it seem a bit bulky and a little harder to control. My biggest complaint, though, is the battery life. Not so great, many times I go to get my iPad and the pencil is dead. It does charge quickly, but there's another issue. To charge it you have to remove the cap, find a place to keep it so you don't lose it, then plug the entire pencil into the lightning port on the iPad. Now you've got a little over 6" of pencil sticking out of your iPad. You can't use it like that, you could easily break it off and probably damage the iPad as well, so you have to find a place to lay it that supports the whole assembly until it charges. The alternative to this is to track down the tiny adapter that comes with it to allow you to plug a regular lightning cable into the pencil to charge. Good luck with that, and you still have to hang onto the cap while it's charging! What a pain! OK, so that sounded pretty bad, but I guess it's all relative because despite all of that, I'd still recommend it because it's just a joy to use, does exactly what you expect it to do (not like the aftermarket styli that are a little 'approximate') and does it well.

Great accessory
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pencil is a great accessory to have because it keeps your iPad screen clean without smudges. iPad works well with pencil. Very easy to use but keep it close because it’s also easy to lose. It’s one expensive pencil.

A Must if You're Getting the Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, this is actually what sold us on buying the Pro instead of the Air 2. At first, we thought it was going to be little more than just a regular stylus and thought it was a ridiculous purchase and a ridiculous reason to spend the extra hundreds of dollars on the Pro. However, when we played with it in the store, we understood what was so unique about it and why we decided we needed it. So, first of all- go check it out in person and see the difference between this and a stylus- the accuracy with writing and drawing is insane- down to how much pressure you apply. Also, and I mean this, if you get the Pro, this is a MUST. If you're not getting a Pro, then obviously this isn't an option anyway, but I almost feel like if you're shopping for the Pro, you just need to go ahead and include the cost of this in your shopping and do it. We got it and don't regret it at all! I think you'll be so happy! It's so smooth!

1st generation Apple pencil
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 1st generation Apple Pencil works exactly as advertised. Great tool!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great drawing tool, but also really great for making notes. The palm rejection technology is a wonder and helps prevent hand fatigue! I would suggest getting some cheap silicone add-ons to help with the grip and keep the pencil from rolloig.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil works terrific! The price is a little high though, but that is one thing you have to expect when buying an apple product. You'll get a good quality item but you sure will pay for it. Overall I would say it was worth my purchase. I don't use it for drawing but it is precise, if you need it to click on a pinpoint that you finger normally couldn't do the Apple Pencil will work beautifully.

Great for artistic work. Some design flaws imo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the pencil for my brother who is an artist and he loves it. The pressure sensitivity is nice. It doesn't feel like a real pencil, but I doubt any stylus/pencil does. The battery life is solid and really charges up quick although I haven't tested Apple's claim that you can get 30 minutes of charge from 15 seconds. However, I do wish that there was a standby mode so that the battery wouldn't drain when not in use. The only way to turn it off is by turning off the bluetooth in the iPad. In regards to some flaws, I think having an eraser function on the back would have been nice instead of putting in a charger. Speaking of the charger, putting the charger in the back is an accident waiting to happen. It feels very easy to snap off while it is in the iPad. The included port is nice but an extra hassle to carry around and lose. I think it's only a matter of time before someone does something careless and snaps off the pencil with the port inside. It is very pricey so I'm not sure I would really recommend this to a layperson but it is a nice piece of equipment for artists.

Great addition to the iPad Pro.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is fantastic. It keeps a charge and recharges quickly. It is great for drawing, note taking, and photo editing. Although I think it should come with the iPad Pro, I would recommend it to anyone that has or is purchasing a Pro. They work fantastically together.

Apple does it best
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried the knockoff brands and they don't compare. The Apple pencil charges faster and responds so much quicker than generic ones. It's expensive but it's reliable.

Only downsides is price and pen location
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The pen works great, is pretty accurate when writing or drawing on the ipad. It's a tad bit big, perhaps make it slightly thinner or shorter in height? And one star down because of the price; the pen should be closer to $50-60, not $100. And there's no place to insert the pen into the ipad; need to buy a separate case to hold both the ipad and the pen so that's kind of annoying

Very responsive Pencil stylus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great precision pencil and stylus. The length is a bit longer than I'd like but I guess it's needed for the battery life. Just plug into the lighting port to pair and you're all set. It has a charging adapter and replacement tips. Don't lose the cap!

It works, but wish it had a clip!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apple pen syncs well, works great, and has a good feel. I only wish it had a clip! I already lost the lighting charging cable adaptor, but no worries, it charges fine from my iPad. I am a little puzzled at the pricing. Seems a little high for no more than what it is. Recommend Apple reduce the packaging costs, drop the adaptor and extra stylus and price the pen at less than $50.00.

Wonderful Device!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After initially having mixed feelings about the IPencil, I have found that I really love this device! I would almost go on to say it’s a ‘must have’ for anyone with an IPad Pro device, regardless of the size! (We have the smaller 10inch one!). Deets: the ipencil is: 1) highly accurate to write with and use (no “lagging” that we can notice at all!) 2) very usable 3) seems to have a good battery life! (Use off/on for days and still will have decent charge!) 4) seems durable, as we’ve dropped it on our hard floors and no damage was occurred to it and works perfectly still (like dropping a normal pencil) I highly recommend this to anyone with an IPad Pro (any model!).

Great tool for your iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the pencil to use with IOS 11 to take advantage of new features. This is a good tool for the iPad Pro and easy to use. In IOS 11 the pen gets integrated into notes and allow for hand written notes and drawings. The handwritten notes are searchable same as typed notes. Apple Pencil feel like a real pencil and very responsive. It is expensive but worth the price.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes it sure easy to write with. Only thing is if you’re connected to your Apple Pencil it won’t let you use your finger. But it does charge really fast. Holds a long charge.

Love the versatility of the Apple Pencil
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one after much uncertainty if I would use it. I am not an artist but I have an IPad Pro 9.7” and I was told it could streamline things for me. I am starting to use Procreate, and saw how the Apple Pencil can really help in creating art, even for a beginner. I also like the highlighting feature (I read a lot in iBooks) and the note taking feature with ability to annotate is amazing! The overall responsiveness to the pen is excellent and battery life seems to be long. I also find that Bluetooth pairing was very easy and it seems to always work without having to repair it. I am very happy with this purchase and I hope to discover all the ways it will improve my life (Just like so many other Apple Products have benefited me)

Awesome “must have” tool for iPad Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beginners through advanced, this tool is so easy to pick up and figure out within minutes and each day I’ve had it, I’ve learned more and become more comfortable and knowledgeable of its functions and capabilities. I foresee so much more than I even have learned so far. The charging options are very easy and fast to maintain and the free apps that come with the iPad Pro alone make this Apple Pencil generation one one of the best accessories I could imagine. I have ventured into other apps as well and am so amazed. I want to get the accessories to protect it just so that I don’t break it, but on its own, when used as instructed, it is very durable and very useful with entertainment and professional uses. I am so excited to continue learning more about it.

Good so far!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't used this much since I bought it, but when I have used it, it's worked quite well. It's a little slippery to hang on to, and it feels a bit bulky but I think it's more because I'm not used to it. Nothing that a bit of tape can't fix. I don't really care for how it needs to be charged--seems like an accident waiting to happen for it to get broken. All in all though, I like it!

Great addition to a solid iPad pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This makes navigating through screens on the iPad a breeze. Also helps keep down the fingerprints on the screen and it charges very quickly. A full charge in about 30 minutes and can last the whole day! An essential accessory for every iPad Pro owner.

Apple Pencil White
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shocked at how responsive and easy it is to use the Apple Pencil with the ipad pro when I tried it out at the Best Buy Apple experience. I just fell in love with art all over again. I'm pretty late to this Apple "Experience" (and was prior to trying this out in-store, very skeptical - i mean a $100 pencil?! it seemed outrageous!) but omg.. I am believer for sure now. It's pretty amazing, guys. SEriously. This technology is waay more impressive than that of any other product we tried out in-store. I would greatly recommend this product. It is like writing on paper - for real! (without the messy after art-chaos and the "i can explain" scenario). I still love my pencil and paper sketches (minus the mess) but this Apple Pencil blew the roof off my skepticism. If the pencil upgrade is more impressive this year, I just hope they can do a trade-in.
