Great change from using your finger
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great change from using my finger for the various scrolling, writing, and tapping on my iPad. Have some arthritis in my hand and it’s nice to be able to place my hands in a different position when using my iPad. Seems to hold a charge for 1-2 days and Takes about 2 hours to charge. It is on the expensive side.

Worth the $$.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I held off for several years on buying the Apple Pencil due to the steep pricing, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I really think that if Apple dropped the price to around $70, they would sell a ton of these. After going through multiple stylus devices, including a copper tipped capacitive pen, which worked fairly well, I finally bit the bullet, cashed in a couple discount codes, and managed to get the AP for around $60. Now that I have one, I have to say it is the best pencil/stylus out there. There is no comparison when it comes to the precision and sensitivity. I don't draw, but I use it for handwriting, for graphic markup, and for textual callouts. I'm a writer and sometimes I just want to write instead of type. So, if I had coughed up the $ two years ago, I wouldn't have spent more than that combined for other devices.

It’s a very expensive pen/stylus
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So at first I was very skeptical about buying a $100 pencil for an iPad but I really like it. It’s just like a regular stylus but it’s more accurate. I can write and take notes like I would do with a regular pen and paper. I was reading other reviews that you can use it to accurately edit pictures using the pencil in photoshop as well. I haven’t tried it but I will once I get the time to do it. If you don’t mind spending money on a very expensive pencil/stylus then go ahead and buy it but if you think that you’re not gonna use it as much then I think it’s better to save your money. I honestly believe it’s only worth buying it if you’re gonna use it all the time.

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil is awesome when it works. Sadly it did not work as well as I wanted it to on OneNote. That being said the best app I found to use was Notability. The best feature for me was being able to write a date and time and show up in my calendar. I wish the pencil was a little smaller and came with the eraser tip.

Amazing!!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my daughter to use on her iPad for Procreate. This made digital art a game changer! It glides very smoothly across the screen, is super quick with the touch, and it's very comfortable to use. I was iffy about spending so much on a stylus, but I found out very quickly that it is definitely worth the price! 10/10.

Nice stylus and good battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big fan of active styluses. Loved the Samsung note tablets and phones. When I switched to Apple, I struggled to find a replacement. Adonit Dash was the best IMHO.... until the apple pencil. Size and weight is perfect . It feels like a pen (vice tiny samsung stylus) On the other hand, the size means it doesn't store easily. I have the UAG case which has a stylus holder and it seems to work well. As for battery life, I used the pen to edit power point slides for a couple of hours and drained about 25% of battery life. I have not had the need to charge it at work. By the end of the day, I typically have above 50% power. I mainly use it to take notes (using MyScript Stylus) and hlghlight text in pdf files. I don't use it for Art.

Totally Awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this Pencil.I do a lot of coloring in Adult Coloring Books and this Pencil is perfect for that.It is also good for drawing, taking notes and so much more.I thought it was a little expensive when I bought it but after using for about an hour I knew it was well worth the $99 I paid for it.I got it about a month after getting my iPAD PRO.The Pencil is very well made, easy to hold and doesn not slip out of your hand.Has great battery life and you get a message on your iPAD PRO telling you when the battery is low.Thank you Apple for such a great enhancement to the iPAD PRO ! Love, love, love this Pencil !

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the responsiveness of this pencil. I do wish it had an easy eraser Which is why I fairly gave it 4 stars instead of five The charging is very convenient and fast. I do not like that i have to sometime plug it in in order for it to pari again if it has been a few days since i last used it. But other than that, it is incredible

Apple Pencil Gen 1
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light weight , easy charging right from your iPad and easy to use. I don't like that you have to pay for it separate after you buy the iPad but hey.

Hard to hold, didn't work for me (left-handed)
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll go ahead and blame my troubles with this pencil and the iPad on my left-handedness. I found this pencil very uncomfortable to use. I tried adding a grip to it and that helped a little, but not much. It was constantly slipping out of my hand and left a blister on my finger because I had to hold it so tightly to get any precision out of it. It was fun to play with, but I ultimately had to return it and the iPad because they didn't work for writing and note-taking as a I had hoped. Pros: The pressure sensitivity was awesome. It was super easy to set up and held a charge for a long time. For the brief period I could use it before my hand would fatigue, the results with the iPad were quite nice. Nice thin lines, responsive, very fun to use.

Works great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter loves this apple pencil. I made the mistake of buying the latest version and it wasn't compatible with the IPAD we got her so I had to "downgrade" to this one. I don't feel it's a downgrade at all because it works like it should. My daughter uses it to jot things down on her IPAD or to do art. She rarely uses her IPAD without this pencil. This version charges off of the IPAD itself which I thought was a little odd but it charges very fast and the battery lasts a long time.

A perfect companion for iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must have to fully enjoy the iPad Pro. Easy to use , very precise, comfortable and smooth as you write. Im still learning how to use , and I don't use it as much as I thought. Is a little expensive if you are not given a full use. I don't like to charge it in the iPad , I think the connection could broke .

Great Tool For IPad ~ Well worth the purchase!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just purchased the large IPad Pro and although disapointed that the pencil was not included with the IPAD Pro, I hesitantly purchasd the pencil to use with some of the programs that my new big tablet had to offer. I certainly was not disappointed! What a GREAT tool for the IPAD Pro! I use it everyday and it really works great with apps. It works exactly like a pencil, it even has the ability to shade! It is easy to use and charges within a few minutes when attached to the IPAD! I would recommend this highly!

A good start by Apple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find myself using it for more and more apps every day and love the touch as well as the pinpoint accuracy. (You need it on the smaller ipad pro.) If there is a flaw it is in pairing and charging the ipencil. It needs to be able to do both without plugging in lightning port. I am afraid of losing the small cap and coupler.

Great tool for iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have an iPad Pro, this accessory complements the device. While I mainly use for note taking, it is great at drawing and can also be used as a pointing device no navigate the iPad. Easy to use and works reliably.

Can be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The concept was great. The execution, not so much. For it's precision, I like the small diameter tip on the pencil. However, it would be nice if an alternate tip with a slightly softer material was available. The tap-tap-tap on my iPad Pro screen becomes very loud at night when you are next to your sleeping spouse. For me, the body is too hard and slick to provide a comfortable secure grip, especially when combined with the natural oils exuded from your skin over time. A slightly larger diameter or a semi-hexagonal shape would be more useful, and/or the addition of a removable textured silicone sleeve for those with a weaker grip. Just because you can cram the electronics into a small tube the size of a #2 pencil doesn't mean you should do so. The round body and too-weak magnetic attraction of the single metal ring located near the cap prevents secure temporary storage on the Smart Cover - a very convenient resting space since no other means of docking/storage on the iPad is provided. If the body had squared-off sides, and/or there was a 2nd magnetic ring near the stylus tip the adhesion to the Smart Cover would be much more secure.
