Amazing Stylus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This "pencil" has exceeded my expectations. I have had a Note 4 and Note 9 for a few years now, and they are my go-to devices for any notes I take. As an engineer, I am constantly updating notes on projects and want one place to keep them all. Using OneNote, I am very pleased with the results of the stylus handling and accuracy. It make a perfect mark almost every single time. The Pencil also charges in 10 minutes or so from the Ipad, which is unheard of, considering the battery last approximately a week. I would absolutely recommend this 1st Gen Pencil and 6th Gen Ipad to anyone who likes to take notes and go paperless, or anyone who likes to draw / doodle.

Works better than I expected.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this pen is very easy. It is more than just a stylus that pretends to be like your finger. It acts like a real pencil or crayon which changing depending how how hard you press on it and the angle of the pencil. Built in iOS app Notes works perfectly. You can also translate handwriting and printing into text natively. Not all iPads can use the Apple Pencil so check ahead. If it does, find out whether it supports 1st or 2nd generation pencil. My IPad Pro 9.7 and IPad mini 5th gen both take this this 1st gen pencil that I’m reviewing here.

Comfortable and easy to pair
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product feels comfortable when using and is accurate when using. Very easy to pair to iPad. Some people have complained about the removable piece for when needing to charge—that it’s something that may be easy to lose—or have complained about how it takes up the iPads lightning charging port—but there’s a pretty quick charge time to this product so I don’t see that being a big issue. Sure the design behind the Pencil 2nd Gen is better, however, for less money on this product and less money on the comparable devices, can’t complain. This product also comes with a spare tip inside the packaging which some people don’t know about or overlook it.

Best stylus for iPad Pro, period
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've own couple of stylus for the iPad, from rubber tip to digital with bluetooth Jot script. Apple pencil beat all of them in term of performance and elegance. It write great on the iPad pro, its almost like writing on paper using regular pencil. Only difference is that I'm writing on a piece of glass. The weight of the pencil is just right. Its not as light as regular pencil, and its not heavy like one of those metal pen. It glides on the iPad's surface smoothly. Its expensive, but worth the price. The only draw back is the awkward way to charge it, you have to plug into iPad Pro's charging port. If you have another lightning port (e.g. iPhone), you can charge the Apple pencil too. However it won't charge Apple pencil as fast.

Great product but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't understand why it is $100, which is a bit much for a pencil, however, it is great for drawing and taking notes. Not really much use other than that so if you don't have to take notes or are an artist then I wouldn't recommend it. I am satisfied by how fast it charges. It is sturdy and writing with it is effortless.

Must have for iPad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the functionality of the pencil. It’s great for markups for PDF’s and singing documents digitally. It's amazing how fast the pencil reacts. There are many usefull apps , which make the pencil even more usefull for detailed artwork. Charging the Apple Pencil is easy. It comes with an adapter in the box that lets you plug into a Lightning cable and then you can plug the Pencil into it to charge or if you are on the go, you simply plug it into your iPad for a few minutes and you’re good to go. Would definitely recommend if you prefer writing as opposed to typing, drawing, or annotating visuals as an aid to your text.

Good stylus for iPad
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great stylus for the iPad. In my experience, a full charge would last about a week for me. I bought this stylus cause I needed it for school and my other stylus (third party) broke when I needed it. For the regular price of almost $100 I believe the price should have it go down over the years because it’s the first generation Apple Pencil. I would recommend getting this on sale if possible. Pros: -Works as intended -Reasonable battery life (depending on your use case) Cons: -Price could be lower -There are other stylus out there that are cheaper and works well with the iPad that have longer battery life (e.g., few months of battery life from one full charge) just need to search for them

Fun accessory for iPad Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't used this much yet, plan to use it when classes start into full swing for note taking on PowerPoints, but it's pretty neat with what I've messed with it. I would say you could do the same with a regular stylus pen if you didn't want to spend the $100 but if you want to splurge I feel it's worth it.

My favorite thing about the iPad pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great weight and heft, comfortable to use for hours as is, has good battery life. I would appreciate an eraser functionality, but even without it I prefer it far and away over the surface pen.

Apple Pen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ver good pen, works great with my iPad 9.7 pro, you can adjust the thickness of the wright with precision or artistic. I will be getting some of the different apps that make the use of this. Is a little pricy.

Great pencil for notes, simple drawing and math!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this with my 2nd generation Apple iPad Pro 12". It feels very natural. I only use it for notes and homework, mostly for physics and math (I'm no artist, so I can't speak of its drawing abilities.) If you're a little low on power, it recharges fairly quickly through the tablet's lightning port. I do wish I had the 2nd gen pencil's wireless charging. I recommend buying a cheap accessory kit that includes a tether for the recharging cap and another tether to hold the lightning adapter to your charging cable.

Best electronic/tablet pencil!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was in the Apple Store playing around with the new iPad Pro's. Those (the Pro's--specifically the 9.7" tablet) are amazing. But the folks at the Apple Store suggested that if one is going to get an iPad Pro one will also want the Apple Pencil because so many of the upgrades to the iPad Pro make the Pencil a must. After playing with the Pro's and the Pencils, I was sold! Admittedly, the Pencil would be a must-have device for anyone who is into art or graphic design. It seemed like those at the Apple Store and at Best Buy who strongly endorsed and encouraged the Pencil were either artistic or into graphic design. I'm not into either thing so I worried that buying the Pencil would just be a pricey and potentially unnecessary accessory. I was wrong. Perhaps unlike some, I'm not super quick at typing with the keyboard on my iPad. But using the Apple Notes app and other apps (Notability and a few others) I have found that I can simply turn my iPad into a notepad and write my notes by hand and with amazing accuracy. In addition, when reviewing PDF documents I can write on (or sign) the document with incredible accuracy as though I had printed the document and used a pen. And, at a recent meeting, I was asked by a few individuals to let them try writing on the tablet screen. They were amazed--as I have been. My wife loves her iPad Mini but has indicated that watching me use the Apple Pencil is almost enough for her to consider upgrading to the iPad Pro 9.7" tablet. It should go without saying but it is important to note that the Apple Pencil only works with an iPad Pro. I haven't found any exceptions. With an iPad Pro, the pencil not only allows one to draw or write electronically on the iPad screen it also works brilliantly as a stylus. With my previous iPads I would use the rubberized stylus pens. Those were nice but they are nothing like how amazing and versatile and accurate the Apple Pencil is.

Apple Pen is Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife love using this pen on her iPad Pro. It is overpriced in my opinion. But if you are willing to spend the money, you will enjoy it. Works very well. Smooth and easy to use. Charges quickly.

Great at any level of use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is practical and easy to use. Among the complaints you’ll here about iPads is that the cursor can be elusive to place with pinpoint precision. Not with the Pencil you won’t. It helps guide the cursor to its precise location on the display, and smoothly transitions swipes more so than with the handy index finger. Charging it is a breeze since you only need to insert it into your iPads charging slip, and voila it doesn’t run out of charge unless of course you’re not paying attention. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it’s usefulness and coolness makes the difference worth it.

Better than I imagined
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only use a stylus when operating a touch screen. I am fussy about the fingerprints. I also have taken up drawing as a hobby. I have used a number of apps and implements for nite taking and drawing. For me, I found I had to hold my hand in such an awkward way to not get smudges from resting my hand on the device, that it wasn't comfortable. I would also get, at best, crayon type results. The pencil has changed everything! It is precise and is truly like using traditional methods. While sketching, I actually forgot for a moment that I was using an electronic device.

Works very well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil is easy to connect to your IPad and works wonderfully. It is a great tool for writing or drawing. The feeling when using it is pretty close to writing or drawing on paper.
