Bought The Apple Pencil as a gift for my girlfriend. She is a graphic designer and has been using a pen tablet on her laptop for a while. I gave her the iPad Pro for her birthday and the Apple Pencil was a huge success as a complement gift. She is able to use it to design right on the tablet. Using apps like Procreate she is able to do just as much work as she could on her laptop. It has great Precision and is useful and other apps like GoodNotes for documenting and taking handwritten notes. Overall wonderful investment . Charges super fast and charge last us a long time

I was skeptical about a pencil that costs $100, but I needed something that worked well for taking notes in my nursing classes, so I splurged. And it has been worth it. The pen charges really fast, so even if you forget to charge before class and it's dead, all you have to do is plug it in for like 5-10 seconds and it's ready to go for a short while! It's been so nice not having to worry about lugging around multiple colors of pens, highlighters, pencils, etc (because this one product does it all)! It definitely simplified and compacted my professional life!

Pros - great quality pencil, great weight, very low lag, balanced, you can write very fine
Cons - comes in one color, expensive, battery isn't the best(does charge fast though), detachable cap easy to lose.

One of the biggest differentiators between the iPad Air 2 and iPad Pros are the ability to use the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard which is connected via special connectors only available on Pro models. I initially did not feel the need for the Pencil, but I have found that it is great and very useful. I scan PDF forms into my iPad and fill them out using the Apple Pencil. Also, using some of the note taking software from the App Store, I can now take notes digitally and email or file them for easy recovery. No more notebooks that sit in a closet never to be seen again.

The pen is great for writing notes. The iPad recognizes the pen and not your hand during writing/drawing. It also senses pressure so you don’t damage the iPad. Only downfall is it’s design. When you go to change it there is no place for the cap. Be mindful of cats and small children or just losing it in general. Have an extra charging cable because it only comes with a connector tip that inserts on the pen then into the charger.

This is an excellent product for any level artist.
With the right art app, which there’s Many to choose from for your style of art. This pencil opens up the possibility by being way more then just that, with an open mind.
Charging it isn’t a hassle, also can charge off your tablet if your on the go.
But making sure you have a safe place to put it is necessary.
There’s cases that include a spot for your trusty pencil.
If you love art or this is a gift for someone.
All artist would be blown away once they get their hands on this!

The only pressure sensitive pencil for ipad, so automatically worth it.
Charging it is kinda wack, so is the smooth airpods-like texture. I really prefer the feel of the surface pen in my hands, as well as that with the surface pen you can use AAAA batteries so the effective lifetime of the pen is infinitely longer...
But in terms of being a tablet and the user experience, the ipad is much superior to the surface. And this is the best pen for the ipad that is not the apple pencil 2. If you want to do any kind of ipad pen work, art, etc, even good note taking, just stop reading reviews and buy this. Even if it’s a little janky, it still does Just Work.

I wasn't too sure about how useful or functional the Apple Pencil would be. As it turns out, it is amazing! The iPad Pro is incredibly responsive to the Pencil and it works just as you would hope a digital pencil would. This is not your basic stylus at all! I have always disliked using a stylus, but the Apple Pencil is something else entirely. One thing I had missed in my research is how fast the Apple Pencil charges! It can get hours worth of charge in seconds or minutes when plugged into the lightning port of the iPad Pro. It's wonderful!

I love the Apple Pencil for my iPad. My fingers are too large to hit some of the smaller icons on some of the screens. This is my second one as I wore out the first one after a couple of years. I have also done some drawing and writing with it. Those weaknesses
are on the user end, not the device! I lost the cap over the charging end early on. I wish they would sell replacements! I consider this an essential accessory to my iPad.

I bought this for my iPad Pro and I love the responsiveness of the pen. Easy and fast to charge too. My only set back to this product is that I could easily lose the cap. I had to buy a third party rubber cap to hold it online.

This is the best "stylus" you can buy for the 2018 iPad (sorry Steve Jobs). This pencil is perfect for drawing and even taking notes. It is precise and it seamlessly connects with your iPad Pro and iPad 6th gen.

I've used many styluses and wasn't so sure about the ones with the high price tag like the Apple Pencil. However, this is more than a stylus. The pencil is a perfect hold and organic to use. My drawings look exactly as though they were done on paper, but they are easier to erase and I don't have to feel wasteful. I love the ease of pairing the Apple Pencil by taking off the magnetic top and plugging it into the lightning dock at the base of my iPad Pro. I highly recommend this Pencil as well as getting case with an Apple Pencil holder so that you don't lose it!

So far I am really loving the Apple Pencil - it charges quickly, it's compact, and the charge lasts quite awhile. My only complaint (which isn't much of a complaint) is that the magnetic attachment to the iPad itself isn't super strong because it's a rounded edge, but it's not a huge deal, especially if you have a case for your tablet that has a little loop or something for it.
