Works exam it should, but some of the design ideas are better in concept than in use... Functionality wise it does everything it should so o complaints there. But having the lightning connector on the end might seem like a good idea, when you charge it without the dongle (basically a lightning extension cord) you need to be very careful not to snap it off. And while being perfectly round from one end to another may feel good in your hand... it rolls right off every surface that’s not totally level..

I recently purchased an iPad pro and I wasn't too sure about the apple pencil. After a month of back and forth decided to buy it and I am officially hooked. The pencil works great, battery lasts a long time - sometimes around 2 days. The design is very easy and comfortable to use. Best purchase ever. I will highly recommend it if you a planner/agenda type person or if you love taking notes and drawing.

Truly impressed with the Apple Pencil! It does take some getting used to, but it does replicate the use of a real pencil or pen. The pencil works exceptionally with the iPad Pro. I would recommend investing in a case/holder as it is easy to lose the pencil and it does contain small parts that could get lost (nibs, cap). Overall, if you are at all remotely interested in drawing or sketching on your iPad Pro, this is a must have!

The pencil is so fun to use, and essential if you're going to use Procreate on your iPad. We have loved it so far, and we are just scratching the surface of what we can do with it. Photo editing is fun with it as well; you can write notes on photos in the app as well as other things. I can also see how handy taking notes with it would be for a student.

Bought this for my daughter to go with her new iPad. She wanted it for taking notes in school. I doubted that she’d actually use it, but she says that she uses it daily. The pencil, in conjunction with her iPad, allows her to be paper-free in class. Her notes stay organized, and she can study from anywhere. Definitely worth considering if you take any kind of notes on your Apple iPad.

I use this pencil all the time, even just for browsing (instead of my finger). Sometimes swiping with it is a little tricky but in general, it's great for general iPad navigating. It's awesome for drawing apps. A couple of complaints: 1. It's annoying to charge… although the battery does lasts a while and the pencil can be charged in a phone so you can continue to use your iPad without the pencil awkwardly sticking out of it. 2. I'm afraid of losing the cap and I wish it came with a solution for that issue, or even an extra cap. 3. I wish you could turn the pencil around and use the cap end to erase in drawing apps.

I originally wasn't going to pay the $99 for the pen because I thought " who in their right mind would pay that much for a little pen/stylus " ?. Well after reading tons of reviews and reading what this magic pen does I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. This is a great tool for taking notes and it literally feels like writing on paper, it's crazy. I know the price is a little much however its definitely worth it.

A lot of people have been giving this pencil a lot of grief, because of the price. However, if you actually try and use the pencil you will find that it is extremely useful. I am by no means an artist, but I am someone who needs to take a lot of notes in my job...and it is very helpful to have the Apple Pencil. I also love to color and there are tons of coloring books, and it truly feels like you are coloring on paper!

This pencil is amazing, the battery lasts, and I love using it for both drawing on my iPad as well as writing down story ideas when they come to me. Definitely recommend. Just make sure the iPad you have is compatible with the pen you want. Some only accept 1st gen while others use the 2nd gen.

Eventhough it's bit expensive for a "stylus" it's worth the money. iPad pro without stylus is basically a giant iPad mini. The battery life is decent and it works flawlessly. Only part I don't like is that when I plug in the pencil to my iPad, I'm terrified that I might snap it by mistake and break the most expensive pencil that I own. Its a great tool for students and people who do lot of dynamic presentations.

Purchased this product along with the new iPad that supports the Apple Pencil and have been using them ever since a got them. Didn't want to spend over a grand to get an iPad and pencil. Instead, about $600 paid for these great products that have been used daily since purchased. I’m a digital artist, so this is a must.

    Unlock the iPad Pro

The Apple pencil is the key to unlocking the true power of the iPad Pro whether it's the 12 or 9 inch size. Without it, the iPad is just an iPad. With it though, it has the precision to be able to truly use any electronic medical record at the bedside as well as transcribing the subtleties of force necessary to create true works of art. It's only downfall is the difficulty in keeping the cap and female to female lightning adapter.

The Apple Pencil allows you a very precise level of accuracy that your finger cannot come close to when you want to put your cursor at a specific point in a document. It makes moving your screen very easy and of course allows you to “write” on your screen with ease. After buying my pencil and letting my wife try it I had to purchase one for her. I thought NI you will feel the same way if you try it out.

I’m not an artist but I found the Apple Pencil to be very useful. First thing the pencil was easy to setup and use. For drawing the pencil felt like a normal lead pencil. The App Store has several drawing apps I preferred Procreate this program has a wide range of brushes and you can download other free brushes. This program brought out the best features of the Apple Pencil. I would recommend the Apple Pencil.

It is a bit bulky an bit bland. My biggestest issue was a tiny connector piece was missing . this is used for charging.i eally feel like they should have honoed it and replaced it. This is not going to be a piece I can grab just anywhere... So I am wuite disappointed. But moving forward I do love the pencil. It is said that it is the only one that works with the Pro.... Not true but still excellent.bland and heavy but easy to find

The grip is slick and it gets dirty easily, which I remedied by buying a silicone sleeve for it. The charging/syncing process is a little awkward but not a deal breaker and I'm sure it will be improved upon in future models. Other than that, the precision is pen-point fine and it is by far the best stylus available. I originally balked at paying $100 for a 'stylus,' but the money I've wasted on other brands in just a year since buying my IPad Pro exceeds that (plus the headaches and frustrations I've had from the inaccuracy and lack of quality of the others). I should've just bought this to begin with.

I love this pencil it feels nothing like a stylus and it is very precise with the iPad Pro I definitely recommend it for $100 I thought that it was quite expensive but seeing how it functions with apps and how it is built and feels in your hand it was worth that out of my pocket another big thing is it does come with an extra tip and order if some happens to the one you have and it charges superquick when connected to the iPad bro

For anyone now getting a new iPad Pro, you should know that having the Apple Pencil mitigates some of the clumsiness my thick fingers sometimes manage to press. One could use a Apple Pencil without drawing altogether, but on certain Apps (Adobe Sketchpad) the Apple Pencil works brilliantly. It is even able to detect the pressure you place on the iPad with the device. I happen to use thlove Apple Pencil just for surfing the web.

I was choosing between the Microsoft surface pro and the IPad Pro for note taking in class and the pencil was the true deciding factor for me. It just feels better in your hand and doesn’t have the hover touch thing the Microsoft pen does that makes it really easy to accidentally select stuff for me. It also charges really fast and keeps its charge for a while which is nice.
