I thought the 2nd generation would be compatible with all iPads leading up to the most recent one, but I was mistaken. The pen works perfectly when taking notes.

I am a nursing student and as you can imagine i have to take a million notes. This pencil is perfect! I can create notes using the entire rainbow all in one. I though the charging would be an issue because you have to plug it into ipad, however if my pencil is at 20% or longer it takes tops 10 minutes to fully charge!

Great product for art, taking notes, etc. The ability to shade on this is incredible. I have drawn portraits in graphite, for 2 decades. I was able to draw this eye, in about 4 minutes, having zero experience with this particular digital, or any drawing app.

As an illustrator, this was important. But as a power user looking for another input method besides my finger, I find it’s better than using a mouse for a touch-interface. Best feature is quick-notes from the lock screen (iOS 11). Simple tap from the Pencil on the Home Shade and you’re scribbling. No need to unlock the device.

This is soo useful and so easy to use. I bought an iPad mini several days ago so I can use it for school and the apple pencil is just the cherry on top.

Am not an artist and frankly speaking this pencil is good for writers and people who do a lot of sketching and painting, i use my ipad more for entertainment and video editing. This is a nice and simple pencil, bit slippery but you can add a skin and it should be good. I would have loved if apple would have added a grip to this pencil which would prevent this from rolling down all surfaces and also make a firm grip while writing

I really like. There are so many apps I can use this with. You need to keep charged and disconnect charge when using. All I can say, it beats trying to use my finger to write.

I absolutely love this Gadget, this Miracle, this Apple Pencil. I truly love it, I am, was an Avid writer, could type upwards of 160wpm NO JOKE probably more (few hiccups maybe :). I had an accident with my right hand I can't feel it. I did so much nerve damage that by way of using the APPLE PENCIL it makes my searching, swiping so much easier! I also bought a Smart apple keyboard that turns cover for my new IPad! I'm writing again, honing in on those skills as well as joining in on conversations being as fast and witty, charming (I can dream!) as I used to be. Anyhow, I recommend the Apple Pencil to everyone here and you'll see the things that it can do! There are things you can do and images you can make that you just cannot do without this! That's my take and my experience thank you Apple once again

I bought this along with my iPad 7th Gen. Works well with it. I use it to take notes and digital art. I love the palm rejection feature while I’m drawing on ProCreate.

Excellent buy as it works with both gen 9 and 10 iPads.

The pen work’s fantastic I’m using it daily. The Best Buy’s techs were great in helping me find which one works best for me!!!

Using adobe draw and the Apple Pencil has been the best. It has pressure sensitivity and you can get detailed with every piece of art. I love it to design graphic art for logos. I posted a picture of a logo project for school so you can see.

My granddaughter received the iPad 10 for Christmas. We were looking for the 1st generation pen could not find anywhere. When at the store noticed one without a box but was in security box. Geek squad helped get a label for me to purchase. They were very helpful. My granddaughter was so happy sent me this picture.

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and she loved it If your child it’s into art and love to be creative this is a great gift It’s easy to connect to IPad and easy too used

I love using this instead of a stylus as it feels more natural in my hand.

Super happy I ended up purchasing after considering it for so long! As a student, getting the Apple Pencil for an iPad was the best decision. I can create all kinds of notes with this pencil, including flowcharts. I can also edit my photos with more precision than I could with just my fingers.
