If you are going to be getting an iPad Pro, you MUST get the Apple Pencil.. It really makes the difference and feels like you are writing with a PEN. I'm now able to use my ipad for notes, which I hated doing with a regular stylus. The Apple Pencil (digitizer) is extremely precise and really doesn't get any better

I was so excited that I would be able to use this pencil on a smaller iPad than the larger iPad pros. The new iPad 9.7 inch is now compatible with the Apple Pencil and is a must have! You can write, draw, color, limitless possibilities. Of course you can use it on the larger iPad pros as well but my 9.7 inch fits in all my purses so I never leave home without them.

I would definitely recommend this Apple Pencil to people who would like to use any digital program to draw on an iPad. It charges quickly and feels so smooth when using it. Perfect for any beginner who wants to start digital art.

I was a little uneasy spending money for another stylus when I had a cheaper off brand already, but this official stylus is so smooth and the pressure sensitivity is insanely useful on notes or art. (ESP if you find a silicone grip)

I purchased the Apple Pencil to go with the new 9.7'' iPad Pro. I have used each generation of the Microsoft Surface Pens and while they are awesome and the newest version is available to customize (multiple tips) the Apple Pencil is the most accurate and on the iPad Pro it is nearly without lag. Nobody likes the price tag and I wish it came in other colors but it is the best available right now!

Absolutely not necessary, but it enhances the new iPads' functionality a huge deal. Not only is it fun to draw, but taking notes on Apple devices has never been so easy and interactive in terms of technology goes. The pencil is fragile though, it has got scuffs mark on it when I dropped it a few times on the floor, so get good protection for it. The charging mechanic is weird too. For college notes taking though, it's relatively the choice instead of the higher end and later generation.

I have tried many stylus' and never really liked them, I even tried another pencil. Most I found to be awkward and cumbersome. Apples Pencil has a weight to it that my hands recognize and they enjoy holding. There is no lag, funky angles to the finished writing or mistakes made from my palm hittling the screen. I love it and have found myself trying to use it on my iPhone when it's in my hand.

Love the Apple pencil! It works great with my iPad Mini-4, 5th Gen. It comes in handy when I have documents to sign or mark changes that need to be made or changed. It really does changes the way I do business now.
Great idea for editing your documents and a great idea for just playing around.

Honestly I bought this from Best Buy and returned it because I felt it was useless. After two weeks I went to the Apple Store and after an hour of discussion it was explain d how I can use it outside of drawing and coloring, which I don't do. Taking notes is a breeze. Signing PDFs simple. Editing photos perfect. (Also learned many of Adobe's products come free with the iPad Pro, Best Buy didn't tell me this). Biggest problems are Apple not swinging a flat so the thing won't roll away. It also needs some sort of storage, tether, or sleeve to keep it attached to the iPadPro.

Purchased the apple pencil (1st generation) for my son. Purchased the pencil to take notes on my ipad mini while traveling. Minimal lag and writing is smooth. Love that it is rechargeable and doesnt require batteries. Battery life is great and charge remains for days. Highly recommend.

I was on the fence with this, but so many of my classmates told me to buy it that I did. And I love it! The writing is much more natural than with a stylus, I can take notes in my own handwriting. The charge on it lasts for a long time, and it recharges quickly (especially important in the middle of a lecture). A little pricey, but I’m glad I bought it!

I decided to buy this to help with work and to also start drawing. I used to do pencil drawings and paintings but stopped after school. It works great especially with apps like procreate and notes. The charge lasts long and recharging is very fast. I have used this for my new 12.9 inch iPad Pro without any issues. I would recommend this for anyone with compatible iPads.

Apple Pencil is a must have accessory if you do any thing artistic on your iPad - The pressure sensitivity and ability to be turned on the side to shade (as if using a charcoal pencil) is amazing. Battery life is great and setup is as simple as plugging it into the lightening connector on the bottom of your iPad - NOTE this only works with iPad Pro, not a standard iPad Mini or iPad Air.

This pencil seems so simple but can do so much! there are so many compatable apps that go along with it, with tutorials o reccommend!n how to use it best, etc that i am having such a great time exploring my artistic side with digital art and animation. I love the little things that you can do with it, and that it charges right on the ipad! i absolutely love it!

Honestly. When I first got this. I NEVER used it. Thought it was a waste. But my nephew showed me why I should use it and all the things I could use it for when doing designs for architecture. Great Purchase. I charge it using an outlet instead of inserting it into the Ipad

The good: it works silky smooth with the latest iPad. Feels very natural to use. Holds a charge for a very long time.
The bad: it is much larger and heavier than a normal pen or pencil. The only way to charge it is by sticking it into the iPad. Why couldn't they provide a normal charging jack??? Charging it is so awkward..
No way to attach the pen to the iPad, so it's quite easy to lose.
Not using it as much as I thought I would

My daughter bought this last year along with her new iPad. She uses this pencil everyday since and has zero issues with it other than losing the charging cable. I do think the design of the charging aspects of the pen could be improved or rethought. Having the cable onhand when charging is needed would be better if it utilized a more common interface vs. the iphone connecter it has. Also the cap is really easy to misplace or lose.

What I love about this pencil is that is just works. I have several other pens for Dell laptops and they are always fussy about connecting, knowing when they're connected, etc. The Apple Pencil just works. I take it out and it's ready to go. The pointing accuracy if very good and it's simple. No buttons to push, just a cap to remove to plug in and charge.

I wish Apple would make it so we can use this on the iPhone! This product is so fun to use on my iPad. It is very easy to use and connect. The charge seems to last for awhile. Others have said that they do not like the way you have to charge it but I have not found it to be an issue at all.
