Very nice add-on feature to iPad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So easy to use and charges right into lightening plug-in on iPad when you remove the back cap, super fast charging as well. I am getting use to the nuances of using the pencil with soft or harder pressing on the screen and it works very well, coloring is quite amazing. I am now waiting for more apps that are compatible as the options are nice for now but eventually should be great.

I like this
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Apple Pencil actually works well, I have used it a while now and it’s good for use with the app, Procreate. The pencil seems to charge fast. Apple offers a way to change with out putting it in your lighting port, but no way to know when it’s charged. I like it and use it often.

Great Tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this with my Apple Ipad pro as I wanted to dabble in the digital art areas. I really enjoy this and it gives me the ability to draw and write as I would on paper. It is light, and comfortable to use, feels natural as I write. Pretty much got this for free with the promotional sale in purchasing the Ipad pro which made it even better. Very satisfied.

Love my apple pen
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the apple pen! I use it for taking notes on my iPad in class and I don't know what I would do without it. And the battery life lasts a long time and charges quickly. I'm in class the majority of the day Monday-Friday and I charge it maybe once a week.

Finally
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally Apple gave in and produced an iPad with a stylus for those of us who like to write and draw. The Apple Pencil itself is intuitive and very responsive. It detects tilt and pressure in a natural way providing a more realistic experience. Not all apps have great support for it at this point but there are decent options depending on what you want to do. My only complaints are the cap could fit a little more tightly and there really is no way to turn it off other than to leave it still. Whenever it is moved, it connects to the iPad and consumes battery.

A great tool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil with it's narrow scope of operation limited to only ipad pros, delivers where it matters. The external design is uninspiring and lacks any option of docking with an iPad pro. It makes up for all this on what it does on the iPad Pro. A seamless pen on paper fluidity and responsiveness. This pencil is a great investment for artists and the aspiring!

I Love My Apple Pencil but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using a Jot stylus for years and I couldn't lean my palm on the iPad while taking notes which makes it hard to write (and harder to read). The Apple Pencil works well with palm rejection so I can write like I was using a real pencil on paper (what's that?) My complaints are: 1- It should have come with a removable pocket clip (I had to take one from an old mechanical pencil) 2- It should use magnetic induction to charge rather than plugging it into the iPad Pro which seems like it might break off . 3 - The cap will most likely get lost after a while, either when charging it or just carrying it in a bag. It should have just been a twist or pull to extend it out for charging. 4- Where can I keep that tiny Lightning adapter where it won't get lost? What a bad idea. Jonny Ive must have had a bad day when he came up with that idea. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but Apple Pencil 2.0 will be lots better, I'm sure.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Drawing is so much fun with this pencil. It is so accurate and fun. I love using it for taking notes too. My kids love drawing with it as well. My only disappointment is how slick it is. There also seems to be a shortage of cases/keyboard combos that have a holder for the Pencil. I designed and 3D printed a holder and adhered it to the back of my Zagg keyboard case. Problem solved.

Apple Does it Consistently . . .
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the Apple Pencil to add to the 2018 9.7 iPad . . . and it works great. Nice to be able to tap quickly and have the iPad respond immediately, unlike when you use a third party stylus with a larger tip. The only negative I see is not knowing when the battery is going to die. I understand they have this taken care of with the Apple Pencil 2, but you have to have the iPad Pro (newest model) to have that feature. Would buy this again and hope to be able to use the Apple Pencil 2 someday.

Great Tool for Grad School
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it to take notes with OneNote on my iPad for my grad classes. I prefer “writing” my notes so this has been a big help for me. My pencil has good response time, charges “fast” (takes maybe 30 minutes) and, though it’s a little longer and a wee bit heavier than the real pencils I’m used to, this piece of tech still fits in my hand/writes as smoothly as the actual thing. I haven’t tried really drawing with it or trying to change the thickness of the lines, so I can’t say anything about that, but I do know if you enable extra features, you can use drawn shortcut symbols to edit as you hand write which is pretty cool. I ordered a silicon pencil sleeve with a cap for the tip and a “keeper” for the charging topper from Amazon. The silicon also helps with grip, I’ve never used my pencil without the sleeve so I don’t know how slippery it is by itself, but the surface is completely smooth and rounded. The topper for the charging connector is magnetic and sturdy (if you flick the pencil the topper won’t go flying) but it’s totally disconnected from the pencil itself and can easily be misplaced during pencil charging if you’re not careful. I also ordered replacement tips from Apple just in case. I’ve only needed to replace my tip once (because a moderate drop damaged it) and after dropping my pencil twice from desk height it still works just fine. I do store it in a hard case usually though, which probably helps.

Great add on for any ipad!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great add on for the ipad. My kids enjoy it so much and it's so easy to connect. Definitely works well with some of the free apps. Glad I picked this up when it was on sale. And it helps that the case I purchased has space for it.

Wonderful Utensil
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This utensil is great for writing notes and using the painting features for my daughter to create nice works of art. The pencil is responsive and does not lag. I would suggest a clip or attachment for the removable top to charge the pencil.

Wasn't what I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly I didn't know how good the battery was. It has good battery life. For sure it will not die in one day or two under heavy use everyday. It's quite ridiculous the way you charge it with your iPad but in the box it comes with a charger adapter to charger it via lighting cable if you don't want to charge with the iPad. The iPad can tell you how much battery life the pencil has and for some reason you run out of juice just plug it in to the iPad for a minute or two and you're good for another 1 or 2 hours. I thought I would regret buying it and for sure was going to return in right away but that was not the case. I loved the look, the battery, and the performances of it. I selected that I would recommend to a friend but that's a very tricky question. Reason is cause: if your sure to draw or any note for school or anything like that then yes. But if you are using the iPad for web search or games or cooking apps or to do signature from PDF files or stuff like that then no, save your money.

Feels just like paper...almost!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's truly a great choice, no lag, it reads the pressure you use to write, and your hand can rest on the screen while you are writing. Can be used to draw however I use it for note taking. Charging is annoying but it charges quickly and last for a respectable amount of time. Durable - I have dropped it a few times. I recommend a paper like screen protector if you don't need to rely on your screen for color tone or picture editing.

Excellent pencil for beginner and pro.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second time I’ve bought this pencil lost the first one but I like it so much I just have to buy another one l use it for drawing for the most part. Of all the pens or markers that I’ve tried when I draw digitally The Apple Pencil is the best. My only complaint is how much it cost and there should have been someway to attach it to the iPad Pro

Almost Perfect Stylus
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Apple Pencil is an amazing stylus. By default, it is the only stylus that works for iPad Pro, but on its own merits, thus Pencil offers great precision, pressure and tilt sensitivity. Plus, it has really nice built. The only two drawbacks 1.) the charging connector is in such an odd place and 2.) there is no buttton for program quick access shortcuts.
