The pencil is awesome and I would not go with out. I use it for many of my apps, etc. It saves the screen from getting finger prints all over it. I love the fact it sit right on top of the iPad “Magnet” and it stays. It also charges right in its place. When the iPad is being charged so is your pencil. Can’t beat that.

i actually purchased this to replace the apple pencil i’ve had the last 4 years. my last one worked perfectly since the day i bought it. i replaced the tip on it to a pointed tip for more of a gel pen feeling along w/ the paper like screen protector and it worked just as great w/ different tips made by different brands. unfortunately, my 2 year old slammed it directly on the tip a couple of times and it damaged the little metal piece that connects the pencil to the tip and is the main component of how the pen works. it’s an unfixable damage. she has been rough w/ it before because she enjoys scribbling on the notes app over the last year and a half. it survived all of that but the slamming directly on the tip, hard even to puncture the screen protector, caused it to be unable to work properly. the moment i realized it was broken, i immediately hopped onto my best buy app because i knew that i could use my best buy card and finance it w/ no APR for 12mo and but just pay it off next pay check. i immediately purchased a new one and picked it up an hour later and i don’t regret it a single bit. i used my apple pencil for many different things on my ipad and it was a no brainer to repurchase as well as i wasn’t about to research and attempt to find a cheaper replacement because i knew exactly what worked and how simple it is to set it to fit YOU and your writing. i have seen some pretty near pencil grippers for it that i will be purchasing because after
hours of use after hours of writing w/ pens and pencils at work all day, like any writing utensil, your hand gets a little sore. but that is definitely not due to my apple pencil. i actually left the original tip on it this time just to see how it was and i honestly prefer it over the other purchasable tips! it writes super smooth but i HIGHLY suggest purchasing some sort of screen protector that is made to feel like paper because it makes ALL the difference in how these pens write. it was a bit slick for me w/o screen protector but that’s just me.
overall, i love this pencil.. if the one i just purchased were to break today, i’d buy another one and drive the 40 minute drive back to Best Buy to pick it up TONIGHT.

Although the Apple Pencil is really expensive, I have had mine for 3 months already and I haven't had a single issue with it. I use it every day to take notes and sketch on my iPad. Some days, I'll reach into my backpack and realize that my Pencil hasnt been connected to my iPad and so it hasn't been charging, but even then it'll have enough battery to power through the day! I got the paper screen cover so it feels like I'm writing on paper when I take notes/sketch, and its aweseme. I included a pic of a sketch I worked on! :D

Great Upgrade—But Wish I Had the Option to Keep Us

I recently upgraded my iPad Air and was disappointed to find that my original Apple Pencil wasn’t compatible with the newest model. While I wish Apple had allowed for backwards compatibility—since the old Pencil now has no real use—the new one is a very nice upgrade. The interaction feels even more premium, with improved pressure sensitivity and the helpful hover feature that casts a shadow on the screen, which is especially great for drawing in Procreate. Magnetic charging is also super convenient—I never have to worry about battery life. A solid upgrade overall, just wish I had a choice.

The Apple Pencil is a champ when it comes to battery life. It lasts a surprisingly long time on a single charge, so you won't be constantly worrying about it running out of juice. Plus, the magnetic charging on the iPad Pro is a game-changer – super convenient and quick. No more fussing around with cables; just snap it on, and you're good to go. Makes life a lot easier!!

Even if you don’t like to draw, the pencil is an amazing accessory for the iPad! Using iOS 14 (beta at the moment), there are some amazing new features that make great use of it. Writing converted to text, highlighting, designing, etc. Even taking quick notes while on a call or in a class. Whatever you can do on paper, this can do better on the iPad. Love the magnetic attachment to the iPad while it conveniently charges. Double tap the pencil to switch between writing and erasing. No regrets.

I bought The Apple Pencil 2nd Generation to go with my 5th generation iPad Air. This is a very good design and handles well in hand. I love the fact that it charges magnetically on top of the iPad. Everything is great, accept the price. This would be the only deciding factor. If you are a graphic designer, it is a must. If you are someone that just likes to dabble, you might want to save up.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen, and I must say it has elevated my digital creativity to new heights. From the moment I unboxed this sleek accessory, I could feel the quality craftsmanship synonymous with Apple products.
The precision of the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen is unparalleled. Whether I'm sketching, annotating documents, or simply navigating my iPad, the responsiveness and accuracy are truly impressive. The pressure sensitivity allows for nuanced strokes, providing a natural and fluid writing or drawing experience.
The seamless magnetic attachment to the iPad Pro is not only convenient but also ensures that the Apple Pencil is always charged and ready to go. The double-tap gesture for changing tools is a game-changer, adding a level of efficiency to my workflow that I didn't know I needed.
The battery life is commendable, lasting through long creative sessions without any interruptions. The matte finish not only feels great in the hand but also prevents the stylus from slipping, providing a secure grip.
In terms of compatibility, the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen works seamlessly with various apps, turning my iPad into a versatile canvas for artistic expression or productive note-taking.

This pencil is amazing! I am currently in school and have switched to digital note taking on my ipad. I even use it to draw in my free time. Just make sure to purchase paper like, it is a screen protector for the ipad and it makes the screen feel like you are actually writing on paper. I even purchased a case for it that makes it look like a real pencil! Please go with the apple pencil, I tried a knock-off and it literally lasted 1 day.

Extremely worth it. I got this one for my little sister who loves to draw since she’s wanted one since I got mine. I got mine for my notes and it’s worth it. i also really like that it can charge on the side of the ipad, so much better. I’ve had mine for over a year and it still works as good as it has since i’ve gotten it.
