If you're looking for something to extend the reach of your power brick, whether it's an Apple Magsafe (gen1, gen2), or USB-C power brick, this will work for you. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done.

This extension for the MacBook charger worked well and I haven't had any problems or differences in charging times. It really makes plugging in your computer in a place with limited outlets great!

For the past year I went around with my MacBookPro using it at work, coffee shops, etc. I plug the big square part into the wall and then hook the other end into my computer. I've always wondered why they made it so short. I was in Best Buy and I saw this cord. It's the best investment!! Now I have so much more length from the outlet to my laptop. It makes things so much easier and it's a very low price! Ironically, I opened my MacBook Pro box earlier today to look at a manual and realized that I forgot to take out this very product that came with it! So now I have two of them. I'm not upset though as I can't go wrong. These are great to have! For the low price, it's totally worth it.

It’s ridiculous Apple stopped including these in the box with your MacBook. They could have at least included it with the Pro line. This is the eastiest way to add some length to your charging brick. I don’t think the USB C Power delivery spec includes longer usb c cables at this time, that’s why you can’t currently find them from any reputable manufacturer. This works on any Apple charging brick with removable plug. It’s the same as the old one. So if your selling your old MacBook keeps this cable and save some money.

This is a great solution for not only extending the charging cable by a significant amount, but it's also useful for swapping out the plug type if you prefer a more conventional 3 prong plug to outlet instead of plugging the larger Apple charging square (brick) directly into the wall...which doesn't always work well with space availability or secureness into the outlet due to its weight.

No more bringing myself and the MacBook closer to the power outlet, this cable is a monster and is very convenient on the few occasions that you need to charge the MacBook.

One of apples cheaper accessories, this thing is indespensible when it comes to gaining that extra distance on a Mac charger. Also works on the iPad charging blocks!

Believe it or not, I didn't realize my macbook pro came with one of these cords. I used the standard piece that had about 2 feet or so of cord. I always said to myself how nice it would be to have a nice long cord so I didn't have to be so close to the outlet. I ended up buying this and couldn't be happier. It's long and makes it so much easier to work on your laptop while charging. Ironically, I happened to have open my laptop box and realized the cord was in there, but I never took it out. So now I have two of them and I couldn't be happier! Definitely worth the price and purchase!

I need to extend the length of new MacBook power cord. These power adapter extension cables used to come standard with a new MacBook. If you have sn old MacBook extension cable you aren't using, it will work with the new MacBooks. Extension cable works as expected.

Great power cable extension for any Macbook power supply. I appreciate the design where it doesn't want to tangle up on itself and will want to straighten out, really helps keep it from becoming a mess.

Glad this was available to make the power brick both longer for reach of outlet as well as add access to single simple plug on a power strip vs taking up several spaces tp plug in the larger brick. I only wish apple would include this with the laptop they way they used to on previous models.

I love that this charger is long, and heavy duty. I can take it on the go with me and extend the reach of my charger with ease for a great price.

I use this cord to extend the length of my charging cord for my Apple products. I attach an extra long USB/lightning cable to it and I can reach it all the way across the room if I need to. I don't have to be bound by the short little charging cube that comes with those products. It allows me to charge my laptop and still use it 10 -15 feet away from the wall socket--maybe more. I just bought a second one because my husband now has an iPad and was always using mine . I would never be without it. It's great for in hotels we are sockets are often in odd places.
