I purchased this as an extension for my power cable on my new Macbook Pro. It comes with the USB-C/ Thunderbolt 3 cable and power block for charging, but I like to have a little longer power cord for charging my Macbook Pro. This installs easily, by removing the power prongs on the power block and sliding this extension cord into place.

An excellent way to give you some extra reach to charge your iOS devices and unlike most of the Apple cords at least this one has a heavy outer cover that will hold up from use; all of my lightning to USB cords split at some point from everyday use and expose the wires eventually shorting out. Poor design Apple for a premium cost! Shame!

Extends your MacBook charger so that you don’t have to sit right next to the outlet. Plus it’s made by apple so you know it works well with your charger.

My cord for my Macbook pro was just not long enough when I needed to sit in the living room and work. Knew there should be something out there that would help me when my battery was low. Looked on Best Buy and found this Power Adapter Extension Cable. Works perfect and gives me a lot of freedom to work.

Love this cable as it is super long and heavy duty

I was so happy to find this charger/adapter segment. It's half the price of a complete new unit and it's heavier duty than the original. I had lost that segment that plugged in so could not charge my MacBook Air. This component was so new that the salesman had to look it up on his computer and then locate it in the store.

I used this cable whenever I sit far from the electric socket.Great quality.

It is a power cord. It's long and am a little disappointed that apple does not supply it with a laptop purchase any longer. It's long, white and has three prongs to go into an outlet....it allows you to plug your laptop into an outlet that is further away than with the cord that comes with the laptop.

It's hard to review this item because its applicability is limited, but it does the job. I use it mostly for my laptop charger, but it works with iPad charger, too, which can be very convenient. ( I don't like 'classic' extension cords, so it's cool that I can have one long enough cord.)

I bought the new MacBook Pro Retina 15in Touchbar and I hated the fact that it didnt' come with a extender for the charger. 20 bucks and that problem was fixed. It also works with my iPad charger. If you need this for any of your chargers, get it. It fits Apple chargers perfectly

I bought this particular cable to safely extend the power cable for my MacBook Pro. However, I have used the same type in the past to extend power to iPads and iPhones. This cable is grounded and rugged, yet fits easily in luggage when traveling or on the go.

The extension cable is a necessary evil for the new MacBook Pros, especially if you're sitting farther than 3 feet from an outlet (unless you like sitting on the floor next to an outlet, in which case, to each his own). Works as expected and haven't had any issues with it.

Necessary for anyone working on the go. It gives you that extra few feet that you need from time to time.

I like to have this cord to go with my chargers, so it extends the length. I wish it were easier to coil up and keep in my bag. It really should be part that is included with the MacBook.

This product worked as intended by filling a void caused when I lost part of the AC adapter at an out of state hotel. The added link to the overall cord was a plus and made my bad luck not so bad as I needed to extend the reach of the product when home.

I bought this because I my base went out and was looking for a new one. They didn't have what i needed but had the extension cable. This is exactly what i never knew i needed! I can be charging my MacBook while not having to sit right next to the outlet!

Very nice Apple brand cord to extend the length of your charger. Wish it came standard with my 2016 Macbook Pro15inch. Just bite the bullet and buy it. It really does make it easier to use your new Macbook Pro. Very good build quality. Should last a very long time. enjoy

Works great, the new mbp don’t come with this adapter like the older ones did, guess they needed to get an extra 20 bucks out of you some how like they weren’t going to with the dang dongles you have to get. Anyways the part is just what I was looking for.
