Phone came with bad battery

Even though the iphone X was certified pre-owned it came with a bad battery. By the time my daughter had brought up to me that the battery was bad, it was outside the 14 day return by a a few days. Called customer service and was told it would be covered. Went to my geek squad appointment and they told me the battery is not covered and was charged $75 for a new one. You may have better luck buying a used phone off of marketplace than going through best buy.
