Magnetic and the magnets hold well, but not perfect. You still have to be careful, as we had one incident where the iPad fell out. Thankfully, it was on carpet. Works as it should in terms of protection, if you're looking for a case to help in terms of child use, I would maybe go a different route with something more secure.

She loves the color it’s pink and I got her name engraved on it for free. It works well and was easy to transfer all her documents from her older ipad to the new one.

Not good for protection or propping up an ipad

Not only does it not fully cover the device, the stand doesn’t stand up, and the case pops off even from a low drop. This is the second folio case I’ve gotten that’s Apple branded that says is made for the 10th generation iPad and has had the same issues. The only thing this case is good for, is looking nice.

My only reason for the 4 star is because if you have an Apple Pencil the placement is bad when closed

So i purchased this one, she loved it and its very nice quality. You can set it up in different ways to read, watch tv or whatever you enjoy! Love it!
