I have been eyeing purchasing a new iPad to upgrade my old one for quite some time now and finally pulled the plug on doing so. I have been wanting to switch to all digital for my college classes so it was a must for me to get a keyboard included. I was also looking at getting the Logitech keyboard that is compatible with the iPad Pro but settled on this one because I liked the fact that I did not have to worry about charging the keyboard as it connects with the smart connector on the back of the iPad whereas the Logitech keyboard connects via Bluetooth and requires that I charge yet another device. Let’s get to the pros of this keyboard: - Nice typing feel. I also own an older MacBook Pro and was worried about the typing experience on this keyboard, however, I was pleasantly surprised. It feels nice to type on and does not feel crammed -Effortlessly connects and sleeps/wakes the iPad -Is lightweight so it does not add too much to the iPad The cons: -Lacks media keys compared to the Logitech model -no backlighting on the keys -Has no protection around the sides of device, only the front and back I have purchased a case that goes around the iPad and works in conjunction with this Smart Keyboard folio. I am overall pleased with my purchase though I do wish Apple would add some additional features such as the media keys to the keyboard (if Logitech can do it why can’t Apple?). I do not regret my purchase and have enjoyed it thus far.

Great keyboard but a little on the high end. Serves as a cover for the iPad.

Gave the Magic Keyboard a try, but missed the convenience of the lighter weight Folio keyboard. If pushed, I can always turn on the screen keyboard to do some minimal typing during the night, so while I like the Magic's back-lit keyboard, not having such wasn't a dealbreaker for me. Lightweight, effective.

Bought this as an open-box option. I've always been hesitant buying open-box, but this was in excellent condition and saved a few dollars. A little dust here and there, but nothing that wouldn't come off. The product itself has a nice typing experience. Space bar is a little stiff. Portable and convenient size. Magnets to hold iPad in place is very stable. Keyboard as the platform is also stable to set on your lap and type. If your main usage is in portrait orientation, this folio definitely caters to the landscape orientation, but take it off and putting it back on is not a difficult task. Only complaint is that the edges of my iPad Air aren't protected with this cover. I typically use it inside my home and rarely (or haven't yet) lugged it around so it's not a deal breaker.

I could not justify spending the higher price of fancier “floating” keyboard, and this less expensive alternative is perfect for my needs. It is surprisingly light weight yet provides decent protection.

This keyboard makes my iPad work like a little MacBook. Well worth the value. Makes it much easier to use.

Good keyboard! I don’t have any issues typing on this keyboard. The keys have enough travel for me. The case’s magnets that hold the iPad in aren’t very strong. You have to be careful your iPad doesn’t slip out when carrying it. The material that the case is made with doesn’t take long to look dirty. It’s easy enough to clean up though.

Excellent keyboard and connection to iPad while providing protection while using and traveling with iPad.

The apple Smart Keyboard is such a great choice. If you are a student or just love the feeling of having a computer but you think an iPad is better I couldn’t agree more; when having an iPad I always think it’s think to get the keyboard as well, it’s such a good investment since it’s going to be like having a computer and a phone at the same time. I really recommend getting the Smart Keyboard!

It’s very easy to use, it’s compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room.

First off, this folio is slim and a big improvement over the keyboard cover for previous generation ipads in regards to size. It is however missing proper protection. I was hoping the edges would have some overlap to help with any possible drops. This is not the case however. Keyboard action isn't the same as a regular keyboard and the texture feels odd. The magnets hold it in place very well and this is a huge improvement as well over the older keyboard covers. IT take a decent amount of effort to move it out of stand mode. The pencil is left hanging on by the weaker magnet of the ipad. I just don't trust that from it getting lost in a bag. Next up is the Logitech version. I just don't see this working for me and especially at this price point.

This is a nice low profile keyboard. It would be nice to have backlit keys, but that's not a big problem. The only issue I have with this keyboard is that the iPad occasionally comes detached from the magnet that holds the case on the iPad. Overall, for the price and features, it's a decent keyboard with minimal protection for your iPad. I like the fact that you don't need to charge the keyboard because it draws power directly from the iPad.

Got it for my daughter, No complaints from her. Keyboard types very smooth. Easy to install. Snapped right on.

Best tablet I had ever used.it works just like a laptop for me pretty much. Perfect for school and to take notes. Got very used to it and was to drop paper lol. Would recommend it especially this size is very useful and comfortable to use.

I have a MacBook and it definitely reminds me of that keyboard but without the mouse. I considered the Smart Keyboard with the pad on it but I like how easy this is to pop on and off, easy to just flip the cover on and it feels sturdy/not cheap

I'm still getting used to the keyboard action. It is a little resistive. The keyboard is spill proof - my cat was kind enough to help me test that out. My previous iPad keyboard was illuminated and I miss that feature. I do like the weight of this keyboard. So overall this is a good keyboard for the iPad Pro.

I needed an iPad for architectural drafting on the go! This iPad Air run everything so seamlessly from apples version of sketchup to all my work. I love the thin sleek design and it never over heats.

Excellent keyboard for iPad Pro 11’. Offers good protection as well. Found it on sale and functions very well. Highly recommend
