So far I love this monitor. The packaging, fit, finish and materials are excellent, and the tilt/height stand is so well engineered. The colors just pop, even though the LCD panel is technically older tech. What makes it special is everything under the hood — the new A19 chip, USB ports, and two Thunderbolt 5 ports for daisy chaining make it a genuinely great hub. Setup was effortless too. Simple plug and play on my Mac, no fussing around. I'm upgrading from an LG 5K2K, which was "fine," but the sleep function was always a little finicky. With this, it just works every single time. The other thing I appreciate is having the webcam built in and working. I was using a separate 6 year old Logitech webcam that started glitching out, so having everything in one clean package is a win. Reviewers will say the webcam isn't the best on the market, but if you're jumping on Zoom calls for work, it gets the job done, it looks fine to me with zero complaints from me personally. I think the only thing I wasn't impressed with are the speakers when playing music. I guess with the YouTube reviews and the product announcement, they touched on the slightly improved 6 speaker system. Again, I'm sure it's better than most standard monitors built-in speakers (better than my LG 5K2K), but again, fine for work zooms and videos. Not that I blast music either but testing out some music, I wasn't impressed. Highly recommend if you're in the Apple ecosystem and want a display that looks great, performs great, and just works. 5 stars from me, I'd love to add another to daisy chain.
