Unacceptable. I feel taken advantage of just because I did curbside pick-up and trusted that what they gave me was what I paid for. I didn't pay for an opened/used product. Opened/Used things are usually marked down. Due to this whole Covid thing, I paid for NEW, not used/opened. Will be returning this ASAP.

Fraudulent listing. I received an insginia display port to USB c adapter instead of the listed Apple Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter. App will not allow me to initiate a refund.

It sucks that you have to get all these cords and dongles to keep all of your devices compatible, but it is what it is, and this product does what it’s supposed to do. I have a new LG UltraFine 24” monitor that only has usb-c/Thunderbolt 3 ports. This perfect for easy plug-n-play for my new 2019 16” MacBook Pro laptop, but I also have a work laptop that is a 2013 13” MacBook Pro that uses Thunderbolt 2. Using this connector with a Thunderbolt 2 cable allows me to use my new monitor interchangeably with both laptops. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price and sometimes when I plug it in the display doesn’t work right away, and I have to mess with the cord a little. Not sure why cords can be finicky at times, but it works seamlessly for the most part.

Great quality! This device is very useful to connect Thunderbolt 2 devices and docks. It’s important to reuse equipment not just for connectivity and recycling but also because many of those specialty devices are very expensive. I do believe these adaptors are very expensive, however out of all of them this is the most useful for me. If you don’t have any Thunderbolt 1 or 2 devices, then you don’t need this, just buy a Thunderbolt 3 dock or USB-C mini dock and it will handle most of your needs. If you have a mini or full sized Display Port monitor you will need a dock that has display port on it or a USB-C to mini-Display Port dongle.

I was skeptical but this adapter allowed me to connect an old(er) Apple 27” Thunderbolt Display to my M4 MacMini at the full resolution of the WQHD monitor. No issues with connectivity at all. At fifty bucks it’s not cheap, but neither is a new Apple display. Will work great for now.

There is not a whole lot to say aside from the adapter functions as it's supposed to. I upgraded to the usb-c/T3 MacBook ports and needed to bring my T2 external drives and T2 audio interface back into the fold. This works without any fuss. My audio interface is chained through my external drive enclosure and no issues with the adapter. It's probably worth pointing out that the adapter does not pass display port through, so if you have a monitor chained somewhere, it will not work.

Does the job of adapting a Thunderbolt 2 cable to a USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) cable for input into a USB-C port. The adapter is supposed to be bi-direction. To adapt from USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 would probably require a barrel or gender changer and appropriate cables. Haven't needed to do that, so I can't say from experience that the reverse actually works. You'll need at least a Thunderbolt 2 cable, though you may already have it with your Thunderbolt 2 device that you're wanting to plug into a Thunderbolt 3 port. I'm using this device with a MacBook Pro.

I recently bought a new MBP - which is awesome, BTW - but have lots of LaCie external drives, all of which use Thunderbolt-2. This seems to be the only way to connect them to the new machine. I tried a USB-C docking station with a TB-2, but those all turned out to only be DisplayPort connectors. This was a little pricey, but it works great.

The adapter works well, but it was almost $50.00. I had to get it to connect my OWC Thunderbot 2 hub to an iMac. It's fine, I just wish that Apple was less greedy.

Bought this because I found an abandoned apple monitor in office. Probably last owner didn’t know this dongle allows using these on modern apple computers. Works great!

Typical overpriced Apple Dongle, but if you need it, you need it. No complaints on functionality or quality - it does what it's supposed to do, and likely will continue to do so for a long time.

Wonderful if you have legacy hardware. New in the box, arrived quickly. Works great.

I am using the TB3 to TB2 with my 2018 Mac mini and Audio Interface Focusrite Clarett 2Pre with TB2 Port. All working great, no issue. Just make sure you are securely plugged in to your devices. Kind of pricey, but its Apple.
