Worked exactly as expected. I needed to connect an older monitor to a new iMac. The fact that I had to buy this at all was a little annoying but that’s Apple for you!

Solid adapter but pricy. Super easy to use - plug and play.

connects my old Saffire Thunderbolt Audio interface to my new Macbook Pro, and allows me to use my LG Thunderbolt 2 monitor. A bit expensive, but allows me to keep using the gear a while longer.

Simple and straight forward to use. Apple products always are high quality so I don't have to worry about it breaking down at the most inconvenient time.

I got this adaptor to use my 27” apple thunderbolt 2 on my work computer, Dell latitude 7480 and work flawless. It was just plug and play. No firmware update or any kind of configuration.

Strangely, there aren’t a lot of thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapters on the market and surprisingly the apple one is the cheapest that I could find. So clearly quality was not an issue. Simple plug and play and no issues yet.

Subtracted a star because it seems pretty expensive for what it is, but that’s Apple. This connects a flashed thunderbolt 3 PCI card on a 2009 Mac Pro to a UA Apollo recording interface. The machine is on 24/7 & never misses a beat.

Using it to connect older Apple Thunderbolt display to a new Mac mini M1. Works as expected. A little price for an adaptor, but it's the same price as direct from Apple.

Very good adapter that you will need if you have the Thunderbolt display and buy a new Mac Mini with USB-C inputs. The Thunderbolt display uses the Thunderbolt 2 connection.

Great adapter...Purchased it "open-box", However, it still works like new. Purchased it to connect from a Black Magic Design Intensity Shuttle Thunderbolt to a Thunderbolt 3 port on an iMac.

As much as I hate paying Apple prices, things just work. I bought this same thing in a aftermarket version which created all kinds of issues, swapped out for the real thing Cest LaVie everything works like it should.

This adapter performs well. I use it with my Blackmagic mini recorder to live stream to facebook and it works awesome. I have had no issues with it and is a must if you are using utilities such as this.

This is a unique and great adapter especially if you have the Apple monitor

I am just writing this review to include a picture of both ends of the product, which the description somewhat infuriatingly leaves out.

Works as expected. I’ve purchased three of these over the last 5 years as I’ve added additional Thunderbolt monitors to my system. They’re pricey but worth it.

Extremely easy to use and works perfectly with my Thunderbolt Display!!

I wanted to connect this monitor to my Macbook Pro Touchbar which has a Thunderbolt 3 connector. Connecting was a breeze, simply connect monitor thunderbolt 2 to the dongle, then from dongle to thunderbolt 3 connect on Macbook. Everything worked as expected, sound, video, multi display capabilities, usb ports, and ethernet port. It is a little pricey, but beware of buying this adapter since the Thunderbolt 2 port is the same as the Mini DP connector and the Thunderbolt 3 port is the same as the USB-C connector. Many times the cheaper adapters are only for Mini DP displays not Thunderbolt displays and may end up not working. So be careful.
