I had trouble with my WiFi and I had to hardwire the company MacBook Pro into the modem. This worked as it should, which is why I normally pay the extra money for genuine Apple accessories.

I needed this for a job I was at so that my macbook could hardwire in to my wireless router. It did what it said t would, still have it to this day.

I thought it might not work when I got it because it was returned to the store and it was in an open box. But it works well and I use it every time I need to use an ethernet cable.

WiFi is convenient and all, but its bandwidth can't compare to wired. I had all kinds of lag issues with teleconferencing from home, so I bought the adapter and connected my MBP to my router. Instant crystal-clear multiperson teleconferencing.

I needed this to image a MBP over wired connection as wireless is not an option. I did use this to transfer some files from laptop to desktop and hit transfer rate of over 100MB/s. Moved GBs of data in seconds. Works as intended!

We were in LA for 3 weeks on business The WiFi at our AirBnB was really bad but with the help of this adapter we were able to connect directly with an ethernet cable to the router-modem and get online. It did what it's supposed to do.

This adapter has been in daily use since I bought it a year ago to play DotA 2 on my Macbook Pro. It has given me a seamless internet connection and hasn't malfunctioned since I bought it. Good and trustworthy product.

I purchased this to reduce load on my wi-fi network. It works great. A hint: after connecting your computer to the ethernet connector, restart it, rather than trying to add the network.

Must have adapter for new MacBook Pro that only has four USB - C /Lightning three connector for that extra speed when you are able to plug your computer into a hardwired outlet, which is always faster than Wi-Fi.

Easy to use, no set up. Apple is usually "into" aesthetic and simplicity and this is not "that". Apple may have done this since with WiFi AC router it seems as quick as the ethernet. I needed this to enable use outside my home where AC wifi is not available.

Easy peasy. The only issue one might have is if they do not know how to enable this via the Apple OS with an older model MacBook; however, that's why God gave us Google.

I used this as a server link to a common hard drive system. We had to upload footage onto a local LAN network. My Ethernet to Thunderbolt 2.0 was much too slow (We were transferring 1 TB of footage daily). This really helped speed up the process).

our late 2015 iMac's ethernet port quit, so I got this and.... IT WORKS GREAT !!!! Pricey, but it is Apple quality so I'm not complaining !!

Many apple laptops no longer have the ethernet port in them, but you still need to use ethernet! This handy adaptor is all you need to use your thunderbolt port to connect to an ethernet cable -- and make your apple laptop even faster!

As a college student where the WiFi almost NEVER worked, it was great having this to be able to connect in to the wall directly. Would recommend this for anyone that has deadlines that requires internet connections

Allowed MacMini to connect to second Ethernet network without a hitch. I have heard some people have had problems getting their computer to go to sleep with one of these connected. I use my MacMini as a headless server so this is not an issue for me.
