I went looking for a way to hardwire my macbook pro to my router since it doesn't come with a dedicated ethernet port and found that the two thunderbolt ports on my macbook weren't being used for pretty much anything that was dedicated. This adapter is perfect for that purpose and it doesn't require any special anything. Just plug and play.

This adapter is a must have with newer MacBooks if you want to have a good wired ethernet connection. Works great so far. If thunderbolt sticks around it will be eventually possible to get up to 20 gb of ethernet speed. Although, there is no way to know whether thunderbolt will be around for long, it is still the best way to connect wired ethernet to new MacBooks.

Since my MacBook Air 13" is so slim there's no room for an Ethernet Port, this allows my Mac to connect at Gigabit Ethernet speed which I appreciate.
Dongles suck, no way around it, but this one works well.

If you need a Ethernet plug on your macbook, this is for you! I do a lot of file transferring over my network and wanted something faster than the wireless speed available. This did the trick and was immediately recognized by my mac for easy plug-and-use action. I would definitely recommend. The only negative is the price. Pretty steep for a cable.

I needed a network adapter for my Mac Air. I purchased one at OfficeMax that was slightly cheaper but you had to install software and run it each time you wanted to use it. I bought this and it was plug and play from the start and has worked seamlessly each time I have used it. It is compact and user friendly, I would definitely recommend this product.

Nice packaging. Its a plug and play type product. Once I connect I am instantly on the internet. I do think it should be less expensive like 9.99 but it works

This adapter allows you to connect directly to a router and/or modem. Simple plug and play for all RJ45 connections needed to your MacBook Pro. The adapter is about 4" long and a very well made Apple product.

This is what you need if you want to hard wire to your modem instead of using wifi on a computer without a ethernet port. Of course you'll need a USB C port, but when using this it is fast. It's a bit more reliable than wifi for me.

A Game changer,I buy apple Thunderbolt cables and dongles and it’s always excellent build quality.I watched a video that someone was challenging the price and the internal chip was mind blowing, they took apart and showed the design and detail.

Was having trouble getting wifi in my room. I decided to get a thunderbolt to giga bit ether net connector and run a wire through the floor. It is working great. I am getting greta speeds without all buffering. Really pleased with the product!

If you user your laptop in closed clamshell mode, then you want the speed of a desktop solution. Unfortunately wifi is less then an ideal solution in this scenario, and with no ports Apple isn't doing you any favors. Thankfully there is this adapter, it is a blessing.

An Apple TBolt-to-Ethernet dongle for an Apple computer... can't get any better then an that. Plug it in and connect to a network circuit, it grabs an IP address (if there is a DHCP server available to provide an IP address) and works just fine, as all Apple products do.

With Apple, you always need something additional to make it play nice with your other technologies. But, it works great. Did what I needed.
