Works just as if you actually had an ethernet port on your Apple laptop - dare to dream! My MacBook Pro is a few years old and maxes at 802.11n, so even though I have gigabit symmetrical broadband, I was only getting about 150mbps up and down via wifi. With this adapter I get about 800 down and 950 up. $30 well spent!

Not much to say except this did exactly what I had hoped and was able to show my maximum speed thus helped me to better understand my wifi speed limitations compared to hard wired. I don't really use it much other than for comparison or troubleshooting and cannot speak to the long term reliability nor the limits on speed for the device in general.

The store was clean, busy, and the shelf peg was empty! I asked for help and an associate quickly responded, climbed the ladder, and brought me the connector I was looking for. This is an official Apple product so of course it works perfectly! If you need to connect your MacBook Pro to the Ethernet you need this connector!

I went looking for a way to hardwire my macbook pro to my router since it doesn't come with a dedicated ethernet port and found that the two thunderbolt ports on my macbook weren't being used for pretty much anything that was dedicated. This adapter is perfect for that purpose and it doesn't require any special anything. Just plug and play.

This adapter is a must have with newer MacBooks if you want to have a good wired ethernet connection. Works great so far. If thunderbolt sticks around it will be eventually possible to get up to 20 gb of ethernet speed. Although, there is no way to know whether thunderbolt will be around for long, it is still the best way to connect wired ethernet to new MacBooks.

This is a handy device to have around if you lose connection or want peace of mind while taking an online exam with wireless. This was bought for a college student who has no ethernet port on comper. Just plug ethernet line into adapter and USB to your computer and you have a trusty hardwire connection to the internet.

Genuine Apple products are expensive, but they work well and are reliable. One star deducted because of price.

Nice packaging. Its a plug and play type product. Once I connect I am instantly on the internet. I do think it should be less expensive like 9.99 but it works

I used this cord to transfer from my PC to my new Mac. This makes life SOOOOOO much easier!! vs. trying to utilize wifi to do the pc to mac transfer. Get an Ethernet cord - plug in PC - plug other end to this connector and then in your computer. Easy!! So Easy!!

Was having to connect wirelessly to the internet due to a lightning strike issue that affected my ethernet port on my Mac. After dealing with inconsistent wifi, finally realized I could use the thunderbolt port to wire into the ethernet outlet instead using this adapter. Has worked flawlessly so far.

I needed a network adapter for my Mac Air. I purchased one at OfficeMax that was slightly cheaper but you had to install software and run it each time you wanted to use it. I bought this and it was plug and play from the start and has worked seamlessly each time I have used it. It is compact and user friendly, I would definitely recommend this product.

This works exactly as expected. I would give it 5 stars except for the price. It is overpriced but you don't have many choices.
