The more I researched the more I realised the benefits of connecting to my HomePod Mini for sound and the variety of apps available. After purchasing and using for a couple of weeks, the biggest and perhaps most underrated benefit is how fast the device is and how much more responsive the apps are. Very pleased with my purchase.

A step up from previous versions

I had an original version with the old remote and was excited to get the new remote. I can’t say the new remote style is perfect, but it is a step up from the thin and sensitive track pad style of the old remote.

Easy to setup and get right to content

Impressed by being able to speak into the remote to type in usernames/password with pretty good accuracy. Up within 5 minutes after removing my old streaming device. Pretty snappy. Havent used it to play any games or link controllers, but I am sure I could without issue. Only drawback is needing to have an iPhone or iPad to get it setup, so I had to find an old iPad laying around since I dont use Apple outside of this device.

Better Apple-TV

We recently upgraded our Apple-TV 4K from a 3 year old Apple-TV. The difference is night and day. I would not have thought there would be a discernable improvement. I was totally wrong. The 2024 Apple-TV is light-years better.
