The newer AppleTV is better than the old with quicker response. It's even easy for my kids to turn on. I have (2) other of the newer gens that copied the configs over easy but this last one didn't. It could be because I was to far from the bluetooth.

I bought this in early 2021 so this review reflects the fact that it's a bit of old tech. No announcement of a new version yet (currently March 29 2021) but a new version will most likely be coming soon. As for this version, I'd say hold off until the new one comes out and/or the price further drops. Currently this was designed for the world of 2017, so doesn't offer much beyond what you're already going to have in your smart TV. It does sync more easily with your phone, but those are mostly novelty features that I didn't use much. The remote is garbage as you may have heard/read. It feels nice and all, but looks outdated and even worse, is coated in glass! In fact, I dropped the remote after owning this device for all of two ays, and the glass portion shattered. Sure, I dropped it in the concrete floor of my basement, but it was a simple drop of about 3.5 ft, and the thing exploded with shards of glass, rendering it useless. Overall I'd say take a pass. It's a great device (for 2017), but the new one coming soon will surely make this one obsolete.

I wanted to cut out the very expensive satelite service and needed something to work with my TVs. This was the answer. I am still trying to figure out all the buttons and whistles, but I feel already in love with it.

Works well it all of your Apple products. Amazing picture with the 4K Apple TV. A lot of apps available to download in the App Store. Hopefully more will be coming. Lots of free movie and other apps for cable channels to download.

Easy to install and Program to customer's TV or media equipment. Easy to select apps that customer wants. Fast response time if customer has strong WiFi signal at device or can hard wire to Ethernet.

The 1080p appleTV looks good a OLED LG TV. On this 4K it looks amazing. HDR support is awesome. The interface and screen savers all work in 4K not like the Comcast cable box that looks like 480p and stuck in 1995. Everything else the same but still great!

If you are an Apple product junkie like us, you will love this player! I love how you can control it from your iPhone, iPad, etc. You won’t be disappointed. We’ve been using this for a few months now and we’ve never had any issues with it.

Makes a huge difference over the old one. Had one hiccup with the remote the second time I used it it wouldn't move left and right. Had to unplug the device to get it to work but haven't has an issue since.

This is so far the best streaming device we've used. It's fast and easy to navigate. The ability to use an apple device for a keyboard is super nice but even the remote thumb mouse is super nice. Glad we purchased.

Previously had an older generation Apple TB which was starting to get pretty old and the UI was starting to show its age. Recently got a new 4K TV and with the new AppleTV the picture is great and the interface is fast and very intuitive.

Great and easy integration in to my home theater and the newer versions of Apple TV are really dynamite. Easily navigable, iPhone integration for typing in to cues and connecting to your Apple account. Highly recommended.

I use this to connect Macs from my office to various projectors and monitors/tv's. Very handy and easy to connect and move around the room. It's apple and they are proud of their stuff...you pay more for things folks are proud of.

I love this. It's my first one and now I wonder what took me so long to get one.

I had the old one and upgraded. Very simple install. Images and connectivity is great. It took a bit of time to figure out the remote and the thumb control area. Just use it and play. You can not break it with normal use.

THE PICTURE AND SOUND WOULD CUT OUT FREQUENTLY DO NOT EXPECT GEEK SQUAD TO BE OF HELP WITH THIS ISSUE After working with Sony and Apple changed out cables to Belkin cables rec'd by Apple NOW WORKS PERFECTLY All cables are not created equal even if they have the same rating. My advice get these Belkin cables initially and avoid the heart ache/frustration of trying to get 4K UHD to work.

Great product to replace our old roku with several apps that roku doesn’t offer. The remote takes a bit to get used to not having a left/right/up/down button but is easy to navigate with in short time.

Bought this to get full integration for all my Apple devices plus it has HBO Max (my Roku Ultra unit doesn’t). Only 4 stars because: I find the remote to be very touchy - much too easy to have it misdirect my commands (the remote for my older Apple TV was much better). Also it will now & then spontaneously tell my TV to disconnect my TV speakers & I have to reset the sound output on my TV.

I wanted a streaming service that would add Dolby Atmos to my home theater and this fit the Bill . Only I hate is the remote from what I’ve read it has mixed reviews you either hate it or love it

It is easy to use and works effortlessly with other apple products. Just find it a bit on expensive side
