    Seems the same as the older model, except this one does not have an ethernet port--maybe that's an option on the more expensive version that I just wasn't aware of at the time of purchase. Not a deal-breaker but seems like an odd omission from this version.

    We love the ease of being able to use our phones for the remote if lost. We also love being able to instantly screen mirror without having to pass a phone around

    I have smart TVs in my house but when you try and use the apps some take forever to load or some just aren’t on the Tv. When you have younger children they don’t understand buffering but with the Apple tv as long as your internet is ok you shouldn’t have issues watching what you want when you want. Plus if you lose the remote you can use your iPhone to control it definitely a must now a days
