Did not have any scratches or dings on the unit or remote. Works flawlessly (so far). Sometimes buying refurbished can be hit or miss. This purchase is a relative hit.

Worth The Upgrade Investment

We mainly use it to stream a NYC TV evening news program to a 16-year old non-smart LCD TV. It replaced an Apple TV 2 which was getting flaky. Apple hadn't updated the latter in many years. I wouldn't have bought it if we hadn't needed it as there is supposedly a new Apple TV coming out this year.

When the original 4K Apple TV came out, they all had Wi-Fi and wired ethernet capabilities. The difference was the capacity of the SSD. Now, in addition to the size of the SSD, either 64 or 128 GB, Apple removed the ethernet port on the smaller model. Because most people do not use wired ethernet at home, the smaller size at 64 GB should be sufficient, because most content is streamed rather than stored on the device. If you were going to use the TV and enterprise network environment, I suggest buying the more expensive one because Apple TV works better in the enterprise environment when hardwired.
