Stop working after 7 months, at first worked really good but now it does not turn on

I love my previous Apple TV’s, but not this one. Maybe this one is a dud. I thought it was the remote control being extremely delayed, but I paired my TV’s remote to the Apple TV, and it did the same thing. I’m taking it back to get a new one.

After horrible customer service from Roku I recently upgraded to the Apple TV 4K, and I’m beyond impressed with its performance! I replaced all 6 Rokus in my house with these. This is by far the best streaming box. Like most Apple products it's more pricey but it's also fits in nicely as part of the Apple infrastructure. It sets up easy, the interface is simple and the entire product like everything Apple is simple and elegant. It can even "moonlight" as a game console! As the late Steve Jobs said, it just works. Indeed, in his biography this was one of his last visions, he said "(he) finally cracked (Apple TV)" and everyone else followed his lead. Issues that won't cost it a star but should be called out: the biggest one by far being that it doesn't play nice with certain soundbars, but rather only the HomePod. While you can pair it up using bluetooth and it's easy enough, it has to be done every time you turn it on. (The included remote will control the volume once you do this, to be fair). Also being able to use an alphanumeric keyboard in certain apps (i.e, Xfinity, DirecTV) would be nice. Last, the remote scrollpad is very good but takes time to get used to with respect to rewinding live TV and such. At least to me. All that, said, don't let any of that stop you from getting this. As I said, there are configurations of sound equipment that will allow you to control the sound through the unit without bluetooth (mostly if the sound system matches your TV) and you can get tips all over the Internets. Again: it just works.

Easy review. Apple stuff just works. You unbox it and plug in the power cable/hdmi cable and then bring your Apple phone near the box and it does the rest. Intuitive and easy to use. The remote has that solid Apple quality feel and works very well. Plus it has voice control and a bunch of features that are not on any other device. Apple stuff is more expensive, but the quality, features, and eco system are worth the money.

So I have tried literally every other type of streaming box you can get every single generation every single model of the Chromecast, several Android TV boxes, like six or seven different Roku devices, even an Nvidia shield.... Absolutely nothing beats the speed and ease of use of an Apple TV. Everything just works and it's not horrendously slow. Yes it's more expensive than all the other devices, but its worth it especially if you value your time! I should note that I use a samsung Z Fold 4 and an iphone 13 pro max. Having an iphone to use with it is awesome seeing as you can use it as a remote, definitely not necessary though.

we spent a year using our smart TVs interface for our streaming apps, but once we switched to this apple TV there was an immediate improvement in speed and ease! cant recommend enough. also, i was previously using two different remotes to turn on/navigate our TV and control our sound bar, but i was able to program the apple tv remote to do it all. plus it has siri?!? bless

I purchased this because my 5 year old Sony TV was locking up on me every few days. Whatever updates, the TVs processer just couldn't handle it. The Apple TV not only solved the problem it actually improved the Video quality as well as the apps run much smoother and quicker. Very pleased with this product.

Obviously, if youve spent $6k on a home theater, then you’ll want a BluRay player with 4K HDR, etc. For streaming though, this is top-notch. The newest tvOS is finally making profiles usable and some UI gripes are fixed. The newer remote is great, and reminds of few of us aging millennials of the iPod click wheel. The setup and calibration features are really appreciated as they helped get the best picture possible. Overall, this has to be the best streaming player to be worth the price premium over smaller players and it absolutely does for my needs.
