This is what you expect from Apple. Very easy to setup and use. The voice recognition works great, making it easy to find movies, etc. currently I have an hdmi allowing 4K SDR only. Need to replace so that I can receive 4K HDR. Picture in SDR is unbelievable I can only image HDR playback. Highly recommend

We had the 4th generation Apple TV but were always dealing with buffer issues when we tried to use it internally with our Plex Server. We found out it was because it only had a 10/100 network card in it! The new 4k model is faster, more responsive, and works great with our local Plex server! We couldn't be happier. We tested out the new Nighthawk x10 vs our Apple Airport Extreme (on 5ghz only for speed) and we felt there wasn't much performance gain on the new $450 router. So we took it back and the 2-3 year old Airport Extreme still does a great job.

I will freely admit to being firmly entrenched in the Apple ecosystem. Having said that this is easily the best of all streaming devices, and it should be at $200. Build quality, ease of setup and use, speed and picture quality are all top notch. Love the mini trackpad remote too.

It has virtually every streaming app you’d want. The user interface is very easy to use and intuitive. It has very good responsiveness as well. It is HDR10, Dolby Vision, 4K, and Dolby Atmos compatible. You can choose to have it match the picture mode and frame rate (best options to match the content) and it will automatically do it for you. The only small drawback is the remote. I think buttons would have been better instead of the touch pad for the directional selections. Also I’ve noticed with friends the remote is prone to crack if dropped since it uses glass. But otherwise, the ease of use, quality, and available options within it app-wise make this the best streaming player in the market right now. If you turn on HDMI CEC on your TV, this device, and sound system (sound bar or recover) it should allow you to control the volume with the Apple TV 4K’s remote. You can also use your iPhone or iPad to control it with the app. You can even use an Xbox or PS4 controller now to play games from the App Store or Apple’s new Arcade service.

Great system for me, I enjoy the clarity of the 4k programs, I’ve watch so far. I have Apple and Amazon Fire TV and they both play well together. Also enjoying the Apple TV+ that is free for one year! I’m going to purchase another Apple TV 32gb for Christmas! Great customer service from Bestbuy techs.

    ATV 4K EXCEPTIONAL VIDEO EXPERIENCE

As someone who has multiple Apple devices and already has (3) Apple TVs in my household, I was quite interested to see if 4K ATV experience would 'be all that'. Well, it is! Connected to my new LG 65inch OLED TV, the video quality is exceptional, actually unbelievably so. I was simply speechless when watching episodes of new Netflix series Lost In Space, which supports not only 4K, but HDR, and Dolby Vision. Words simply can NOT describe. Setup was a breeze, using the feature allowing any iPhone or iPad to launch the setup, which brings networks, iCloud account info, iTunes account info, all directly into the new ATV. Then, using the new 'Home Screen Sync' feature of ATV with TVOS11, all of my loaded apps, channels, etc. from my existing ATV ... auto-magically loaded onto the new ATV. Beautiful!!!!! I was up and running in less than 5 mins. NOTE: I went with the 64gb ATV 4K model, cuz ... you simply cant have enough memory :) If you have the right TV and you embrace the Apple eco-system, run dont walk to get an Apple TV 4K NOW!!!!!! PS Yes, the results were also influenced by the fantastic video quality of the LG OLED set.

Great item that is user friendly, easy set up with lots of applications to download and easy access to new movies in theater for rent. 4K is great and the 64GB is plenty for everything I need. I have 3 of these and will most likely purchase one more for my office.

I absolutely love my Apple TV. This one is used in the basement for the kids. They watch the Disney+ app primarily and use Apple Arcade. I really couldn’t ask for a better streaming product. Yay Apple!

Our family recently "cut the cord" and decided to use Sling, Netflix and Hulu to fill that gap. By using the Apple TV, we get all those apps in one easy place, plus 1000s of more available. The remote is small, sleek and easy to use, though i highly recommend a protective case (with strap) to avoid losing it. It also helps with grip when playing games. My one complaint...no Amazon Prime Video support. Besides that, its a perfect device and must have for Apple product lovers.

I purchased a newer Apple TV anticipating that I would need it to stream Disney+, not realizing that the TV's that I wasn't sure would support the app would actually see it pop up on launch day. I still didn't regret the purchase, because we have other uses for the device. It remains a very sleek device. I have enjoyed receiving the free year of Apple TV (the shows). Really, my only complaint is with the remote. The thing is just TOO small. The remote for my older version is also too small. They are always falling off of the armrest of the chair or couch, and because of their size they ALWAYS find the crevices and fall most of the way through, causing me to have to scramble onto all fours and flipping the furniture until I can free the remote. The new remote has even more complications thanks to its touch sensitive navigation. I'm forever nudging the edge of it while trying to put it down, causing a navigation screen or options to pop up on the screen. It is really frustrating to be in the middle of trying to watch something only to have to fight with the remote in order to clear the distractions off of the screen. Again, the device itself is great, and the remote works well when you are actually trying to use it purposefully. It just needs to learn to stop being so sensitive to the slightest bump and to not jump into the furniture every time I take my eye off of it. Is that too much to ask?

Love this thing! It is quick, the menu is gorgeous! Easy to operate! One thing that it can do that they do not brag about is that you can use a bluetooth wireless headphones for evening viewing. VERY CONVENIENT! The 4K content looks fantastic. Already started to replace my older Apple TVs so I have 3 now.

This is my first Apple TV and I have been enjoying it quite a bit. The performance is good and with all of the apps available, you can watch all the content that you want to if you have the right subscriptions. It's fun to play games on this with Apple Arcade and a real controller. At times, I feel that the performance should be a bit snappier. The remote using a lightning connector instead of USB-C is a negative. The price is also a bit high. But I don't think I would be happier with a Roku or anything else.

Apple always makes high quality, easy-to-use products. The Apple TV is awesome! Makes things very convenient, and Apple products generally always work without significant issues. The 64GB model is probably worth the extra money if you're on the fence, as it's nice to not have to worry about space for apps ever.

Best 4K movie prices and they keep upgrading HD movies to 4K for free. Siri works pretty good with the remote.. If you have a iphone the remote app works pretty good Can't control AppleTV with Harmony remote & the remote is a bit of a pain. (To small)

Apple TV4K works well but can be a data hog

Set up was a breeze, and it works great. The picture is spectacular and it is nice to get DolbyVision for streaming movies. The interface is nice and works similar to a Roku etc. At first I did not like the remote, but it works pretty slick after you get used to it. I do have to keep on either unplugging the HDMI cord to reset the signal or restart it. It is a new cord I bought just for the device. Finicky! Streaming is great, however I had to stop using it after only 13 days of use In the first month after I almost hit my Comcast terabyte limit for the first time ever. We streamed on Roku every day on 4kHDR 10 maximum resolution and rarely hit 50% of our data. Never came eve close to the max. Come to find out all the integration advantages with photos, podcasts, and awesome screen savers eat your data fast. Also streaming AppleTV shows and DolbyVision eat it fast too. Some have measured the data hog at over 100 gigs sitting idle with little use....I looked at its use and data use by AppleTV was very high in the middle of the night when we were in bed (no kids at home). So I disconnected the integration, podcast downloads and etc and screen saver downloads. I kept on watching in DolbyVision and Atmos - so worth it! Also, the apps do not shut down when you are not watching them and keep on running in the background. This eats data. You have to manually shut them down so they are not live. This is unlike Roku which shuts them down to conserve resources. I manually shut these down when I switch apps. I spent January monitoring data use and shutting of AppleTV connection at the router. Data use was back to pre AppleTV levels. February has also been normal without shutting of access at the router. I still have the integration items shut down and manually shut down the apps. This is a known data hog issue. I found the roadmap to reduce data use online. So....I watch the data closely and shut off the apps.

The picture from the Apple TV makes watching my 4K TV even better. I hoping to eventually disconnect from cable with this device. I gave it 4 stars because the remote is a bit difficult to use and there is no off switch for the device.
