I have had every generation Apple TV. This one takes their versatility and enjoyability to a whole new level. The remote is completely redesigned in the best way possible. The app integration is a great feature as well.

I loved the first Apple TV and this one is even better. You can choose what apps you have on it so I don't have to scroll all over to get what you want. Big upgrade.

I bought this to use at my dad's house so he could watch MLB games during Spring Training and the regular season. His cable company does not offer the MLB network, which limited his options for viewing games. With my MLB.com At Bat app, we can watch a lot more games. The device is easy to set up, and I like that this version allows you to pick and choose the apps you want to access, rather than scrolling through a host of apps he'll never use in order to get to the ones he will.

I originally got my apply TV so i could stream my workouts on my tv but I ended up actually using it to get TV on it as well. Love that this has given me many different options on what i can do/watch.

The latest generation of Apple TV is great! Everything is improved! I love the new touch remote and the channel options are continuing to grow. I'm looking forward to the day that I can cut the cable cord completely!

Bought one as an experiment to see if we could live without cable tv in our vacation home. As we have Comcast Xfinity in or main residence we can access enough of the ordinary channels through their Apple TV Apps to make us happy. Just wish Comcast will get their app ready so that we can watch whatever we have recorded at home as well. We are of course using more than just the TV apps, like YouTube, Netflix and more, working great. Easy to use, easy to setup, well worth the money.

We have this and the Amazon Fire tv. The apple was easy to use and paired ii paired with our tv by itself, we can adjust volume with the apple remote, the fire tv paired but no volume so we still need 2 remotes. Streams fine, I like the remote control better, and the layout on the screen to navigate. Only downfall is the apps, we have access to a lot more fun stuff with the fire tv than the Apple TV. Now if I didn't buy the fire tv for the spare room I probably wouldn't even notice or miss this, but I did..... And do. Bottom line, would be 5 stars if it had close to the amount of apps/games that other streamers have, because I feel it's a better quality piece than the others, just limited.

Awesome product. The new UI is so easy to use and the new remote will make you forget that you ever used anything else to watch tv. The fact that you can control volume from the apple remote is an amazing bonus.

Let me start by mentioning that I had every version of Apple TV. I also have two Roku, and Amazon TV sticks and a Chromecast. Each platform has its virtues and drawbacks. Apple TV is a requirement to watch movies or listen music from Apple, and the app library is extensive. It supports every major TV channel provider, Airplay works flawlessly, and some games are interesting for occasional play. The 'TV' app integration is very good at bridging diverse content, although more content providers need to get on board to make it truly useful. Single sign-on is a much needed welcome feature that lacks on other platforms, but most cable TV providers are still not on-board, although many content providers are. In my case, the other main reason while I'm on my 3rd 4th gen Apple TV, is because of the 'Channels' app. When connected with an HD HomeRun prime, and a cable-card from my TV provider (Verizon), I'm saving about $ 40 in rental fees, and all channels except some Fox and Nat Geo that are encrypted and this app cannot decode, it works flawlessly. (For those channels, there's an App). Browsing through apps is very fast and smooth. The control is intuitive and simple to use, although it takes some learning. I'm not entirely sold on the trackpad instead of arrow buttons. Most of the time we use a Harmony remote to control it instead of the built-in remote. On the plus side, the Apple TV remote can also control the TV or receiver turning it on or off, setting the correct input and controls volume. As per content, there is no 4K or HDR support, and most notably there is no way to watch UltraViolet or Amazon content directly, but can be used with Airplay from Amazon or Vudu apps on an iOS device. Voice control from the remote works well, and integration with the iOS remote for keyboard input works nicely in most cases.

This item is very slick. I have used previous versions of the apple tv but this is the best by far. Get the most memory you can afford and get set for the fun to begin. Hooks up quickly and the picture is great.

It's great to access the App Store for what you want although they need to increase app availability . Remote is really nice with the Siri feature.dont lose the remote as its about 80.00. But again, it's Apple. I would have given it a 5 star rating if they had more apps available. Hopefully that changes with time.

I buy items from the apps and movies as well. The new Apple TV is great easy to use. Siri actually works very well. If you don't have a iPhone or MacBook don't buy this device it's really for Apple users only.

Been riding this horse awhile. Glad to see them getting serious about it. The new OS is flexible, but still easy to use. The hardware is as unobtrusive and nondescript as it's always been, but now it comes with a much more useful remote, and the OS updates promise more voice commands and support for keyboards.

Does what it’s supposed to do. Works well, runs smoothly and it turned my non-smart tv into a smart one. I think it’s a good option if you have a regular flat screen without smart capabilities

With App Store apps such as Channels and Plex, I'm able to use this exactly like a Windows MediaCenter extender for tuning high definition tv and accessing my DVR content. Gaming content is now available, though much of it feels rather unusual playing with the supplied remote. I would recommend purchasing the game controller mentioned in the instructions. AirPlay allows you access to all your video and music content from your Apple computers and other iDevices, and of course you still have access to much Internet streaming television content.The greatest benefit to the new Apple TV is downloadable content and storage, making the platform prone to more features and better upgradeability.

We purchased this in order to reduce cable/satellite bills. My one big disappointment was there were no apps, or stations installed, as they were on previous Apple TV. I like the previous version as there were suggested 'stations' installed; History, YouTube, ID, etc. I do like the Siri and trackpad feature.

We upgraded our Apple TV and have been amazed by the increased picture quality on our 4K TV. One downside is that you have to go find apps rather than it being preloaded but once it is set up it is great!!!

There were a few glitches with the launch operating system but they were fixed quickly. The App Store quickly became as vibrant as what we have on other Apple devices. The only place to go from here is up.
