This works great!!! It gives a wonderful picture on my tv. I tried a Chrome first and immediately took it back and bought the apple tv. There is no comparison. The picture is bright and crisp and never goes fuzzy or pixelly. It is very easy to set up and use.

I recently switched from a PC to a Mac (you can actually read my review of my iMac on here). I wanted a way to connect my computer to my television set so I bought Apple TV. The setup was seamless and I love it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This is an elegant and easy to use little box. The interface is pretty, setup is dead simple (took less than 10 minutes from start to finish), and it's fairly intuitive to use. The problem comes in that it doesn't serve a great deal of function, at least for me.

Love my Apple TV! We have A 2nd vacation home & bring it with us!! You can use it wherever you can get internet!! Love that we can access our home cable subscription through it!! I've got several friends who now own it due to our pleasant experience with it!

I purchased this device because my wife and I both have several iOS devices in our home. We already had a Google Chromecast and loved the functionality of that device and were hoping that AppleTV would be even more useful. I've found that not to be the case. The AppleTV is nice, but requires people to have an iOS device, whereas the Chromecast is useful to anyone that comes into my home, iOS or Android...or even computer. I don't like the AppleTV "application" home screen and even though it's customizable to a point, the remote is not the easiest to use. Even if I use the Apple "iRemote" application on my phone, which allows typing in usernames, it's not as smooth as the Chromecast streaming device which requires a handheld device and comes with no remote. You can't utilize more than one account on the AppleTV at a time, whereas the Google Chromecast allows you not just to use any of the apps on someone's phone simply by hooking up to the WiFi, but for example, if two people have vastly different accounts on GooglePlay, it's as simple as clicking on the streaming button on a person's phone that signed in to their account (on whatever phone and no matter the OS). AppleTV is still useful for things that are natively iOS and for mirroring the screen. It does beat the Google Chromecast in one area if you're using an iOS device - sharing photos and videos on a phone is much easier with the AppleTV, but only if it's an iOS device, because the Android phones have their own mirroring tech. I've found that I can easily use my phone with Chromecast still active. Leaving the application on the iOS device in some cases or using another application with AppleTV functionality sometimes ends the streaming and sometimes it seems to just shut down for no reason. It also plays the sounds from your phone through the TV which is great if that's what you want, but if you're playing a game while streaming a show for your child, for example, expect the sounds of the game to come through and at a different volume from the stream. If you must make a choice, I believe the Chromecast is a better product, but my household was able to get both and we do use both. The next step is to get an "HDMI switcher" because we've run out of HDMI ports on the TV. Neither the AppleTV nor the Google Chromecast are able to work through the HDMI slot alone and must be plugged into a power source, which is another source of frustration, but both have that same issue. If you have a mixture of devices in your home, I'd suggest going with the Chromecast instead. If you ONLY have iOS devices, then perhaps an AppleTV might be more your style, but even then, the Chromecast is cheaper and useful, especially when considering visitors that you might allow to use your WiFi will also be able to utilize the Chromecast more easily than the AppleTV.

This last Apple TV was a lot cheaper than the previous versions, I remember they used to be $100 but this was a discounted version since the new Apple TV was coming out in September 2015. This Apple TV is very easy to connect, you can set it up very quickly and you can also control it from your IPhone and just keep the remote in a drawer. We have a Harmony remote control and it seems to be working fine, at times I think it just turned the Apple TV on but didn’t allow more interactions but I think we finally figured it out. The menu seems smooth and easy to navigate. We haven’t had any problems with streaming, we use it for streaming Netflix and watching videos from YouTube as well as streaming music from ITunes, you can connect with your WIFI or connect through an Ethernet cable. Overall it is a good buy. You will need to get a HDMI cable since it doesn’t come with one.

What I liked was how simple it was to set up. Am able to view purchased movies, listen to music, and utilize the various apps. The picture quality is awesome. What I did not like was some of the unessary apps. However, I would definitely recommend it to all.

If you like to stream or just want to mirror your ipad or laptop to your tv, this is easy and installs fast. The remote is small, so it's easy to lose between cushions! The design and function are A+

Purchased for my boyfriend and I was able to easily set it up with our hi def tv as a surprise. its easy to use - synced both our apple accounts quickly as well as Netflix and HBO accounts. Wish you could download more apps for it but works well with AirPlay from either of our iPhones/iPad. Good purchase. You will need to buy an HDMI cord for this, also our TV is a wall mount and I had to set the apple TV on top of the TV - not the most aesthetic, wish it was wireless or the stick like Amazon. Bought in store and staff was helpful in making sure I knew how to set it up and what I need to do that before I left the store without being pushy or trying to upsell things I didnt need.

Had I known everything I could get out of my apple tv box before I signed up for cable tv, I would've never signed up for it! The only thing cable tv can give you that apple tv can't is local channels. Otherwise, as long as you have a Netflix or Huluplus account, you're good to go! (I recommend Netflix after trying them both on for size.) Airplay connecting iphone/ipod/ipad to tv is flawless, wireless, awesome and so easy! The apple tv box itself has never worked incorrectly or anything along those lines. It was a breeze to set up. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking for value for the buck!

This is a very good Apple product. Setup is very easy - either wired or wifi. Picture quality is very good, not all channels are HD, but good enough to lose the cable box and pocket the savings.

I use my Apple TV to do many things. The obvious is stream shows, MLB games and mirror my other apple devices. Works great! Easy set up! Love that apple lowers the cost to be more competitive!

Our second Apple TV. Easy to set up and easy to use. We use these to stream movies into two rooms of the house. We have used the channels some for viewing other content, but would say our primary use is as an iTunes streaming device or AirPlay device.

This Apple TV was an excellent purchase. It's easy to set up and use. Works great and I don't need the new Apple TV because this one works great. I just use it to stream videos and movies. It does everything I need it to do! Great picture as well

I have a few of these units in my home, they are awesome. I run a Apple ecosystem in my home so these little babies are invaluable. Streaming movies, music, and apple airplay... All seamless. Using the television as my second monitor for the laptop is amazing as well. Then the fact that you can buy music and movies on iTunes and then playback on any of your apple devices really just takes the cake. Not to mention all the perks involved if you also use a cable provider. Also the functionality of having multiple Apple TV boxes is cool. I can shoot media around to different rooms at will.

I absolutely love this product ! I purchased the open box item & it is the same thing as any other. It works PERFECTLY. I use this instead of cable. All you need is WiFi & an HDMI cable.

There are many apps already downloaded but you aren't able to download any additional apps which is a little bit of a bummer. You are able to hide the apps you don't use to make it more personalized. It is so easy to connect, just plug in the power and HDMI and you're good to go! I even travel with it because it is so easy to pack! Apple TV is well worth it!!

Easy to use, just connect it and use it intuitively. The differentiator here is the presence of the TOSLINK (optical) audio output. Due to this you can stream CD quality music across the house. Solid built in wifi ensures robust wireless connections. Very reliable, wakes up from sleep and goes to work immediately. Movies stream very reliably from the iTunes store. Interstellar was a pleasure to watch on a 100" projected screen. The AirPlay feature that allows you to project your iPhone, iPad or Mac on the big screen is very handy and nifty. Though you can attach a bluetooth keyboard, it is easier to say, fire up a YouTube video on your iPad, and use AirPlay to just transfer the movie to the Apple TV. Voila! The Apple TV independently plays that video from the exact spot you launched AirPlay, and you are free to use the iPad for anything else!

Apple TV is another great Apple product. Set up is simple. It works flawlessly with my home wireless network and HDTV. The remote is easy to use. Syncs with my iTunes account and by turning on home share it syncs with the iTunes content on my PC. I can also stream from my iPad using AirPlay. In typical Apple fashion all features are easy to set up, simple ot use and they just work wihout hassle or problems. There is a good selection of other services like Netflix, Hulu Plus, utube, etc, that can be accessed through this devlce. It has been a wonderful addition to my entertainment center.

Lived with the Apple TV for a little over a month now. It is incredibly easy to set up and use with my Netflix and Hulu accounts. The router is upstairs and the unit is in the living room a floor below it, and we have no reception issues at all. It's extremely small and goes unnoticed. The remote is very well designed and attractive like most Apple products. I would highly endorse its purchase and usage. The only downside is the price. For the content that it offers, I think $100 is a little much. However, I have been accused of being cheap before. Overall, thrilled with the purchase.
