We recently bought the Apple TV unit for our wireless home theater and love it. It was simple to setup and use. We had tried a few different units and none of them worked out very well. We have a lot of movies in digital format and were looking for a good way to stream them throughout the house while also taking advantage of online services such as Netflix. This delivered on both fronts with great results. The only downside is I had hoped to find a solution that would simply play movies off of a network hard drive, but Apple TV can only play movies or music utilizing Home Share from iTunes on a computer. As a result I did dedicate a computer dedicated to streaming our media. Definitely recommend this product.

extremely easy to set up and works well with my Ipad, mini Ipad and iphone. great to stream photos, pictures and movies.

This product is awesome i only wish I bought one yrs ago instead of wasting time and money one the stupid cable connector that didn't work half the time. Apple TV makes it so easy u just plug it in to your big screen and you can enjoy high def. videos from any apple device. I personally own over 100 movies on iTunes and have 2-MacBook pro's, 2-iPad's , 3- iPhones 7 - iPods .... so abvously I'm an apple fan lol But just the convenience of being able stream HD movies and music directly from my library from any device is great i don't even have to go turn on my computer it automatically picks up all my devices so if the movie I want is on my iPhone or ipad I just conect to that very very cool. I'm even in the works of added an extra external drive to my wifi network loaded with just my iTunes movies and music so I can access my entire library without it being on a device since I have over a couple hundred gig with just iTunes obviously the only device with my whole library is my MacBook so hopefully that will work from what I've seen it will ;0) But anyways I would def. recommend this to anyone that uses iTunes for movies and or would like to stream Internet like net flicks stuff like that to your tv.

At first I was very skeptical about this apple tv because It didn't want to connect to my iTunes id. It took me a while to figure out that i needed a stronger internet connection, now all is good i can browse movies on netflix, and watch my favorite shows etccc its awesome especially if your'e in college like me and don't want to be hunched over a laptop all day I just connect my keyboard to it and continue my essays from the comfort of my bed sofa etc would definitely reccomend. :)

Finally bought one and so happy. Takes up very little space and super easy to setup. Quickly watch your favorite shows. A+

I absolutely love my Apple TV! Only thing I would change is the fact that you can't add apps! Other than that amazing!!!!

if you own an iPhone or iPad, this is for you. It not only can turn your tv into a "smart" device where you can watch Netflix or YouTube, you can also watch ESPN, and one of my favorites that no one else seemed to mention in their reviews, is you can AirPlay an app to your TV. This allows my son and I to both enjoy games that are to small to see together, on our large screen tv. It is more expensive than Google TV or Amazon Fire TV, but if you have apple products, this is a no brainier.

Since Apple tv is connected through hdmi cable, watching Hulu through Apple tv is an amazing experience compared to watching Hulu through the Wii.. And it seems that the Apple tv recognizes the Wi-Fi connection better than the Wii. So that is a super plus! Way less buffering! Yay! The only downside is.. Most of the apps on the Apple tv are locked if you do not have a cable or satellite provider.. And some others have subscriptions just like Hulu.. It would have been really nice if there had been more accessible apps on the Apple tv.. But.. The good thing is we were already subscribing to hulu prior to our Apple tv purchase. So, overall, we are very happy with our Apple tv purchase! Thanks, Best Buy!

Purchased one of these for each of my TVs. Works well and has all the applications I need. Also allows me to airplay from my iMac or iPhone. Have tried Roku as well but more satisfied with the Apple TV. The only thing that sucks is when I lose the remote and have to buy a new one for $20. My two year old is a magician and is good at making them disappear. The casing on the remote is also aluminum so it is full of dents from me dropping it or my son throwing the remote on the tile floor.

Easy to setup and love that I can throw all my Apple products onto the TV. Great for watching movies and slide shows.

Great & easy to use. I like the fact that it connects to my iphone and i have the ability to see (or watch) that on my TV

I'm so glad I got the apple TV. It works great, it's easy to use, and it's great doing airplay. I'm really enjoying it.

We've been using this device daily for a month. Setup was extremely easy. It was up in running in a short period of time. We've had no issues with maintaining wireless connectivity with our router in an adjacent room. We were previously using a Panasonic BluRay player for our streaming needs (Amazon Prime/Netflix/YouTube - no Hulu), and the AppleTV has definitely performed better in easy-of-use, connectivity, and interaction with other devices. The Netflix interface on the AppleTV is leaps and bounds ahead of the Panasonic version. It is much easier to find and manipulate the Netflix streaming choices. The AppleTV won't stream Amazon Prime (i would give it 4.5 stars if possible because of this), but we picked up a Hulu Plus subscription, which is well supported by the device in a similar interface to Netflix. I do not believe I would be in the market for this device if I was not a subscriber to at least either Netflix or Hulu Plus, but heavy Apple/iTunes users will probably find their own value in AppleTV. As far as support for the popular streaming subscriptions, this device is excellent (minus the lack of support for Amazon), and we are very happy with our purchase.

My Apple TV replaced my WD Live Hub which was no longer supported by some apps. I was amazed at the difference in speed. This is also much more intuitive. Now, that it is reduced to $69.95 it's even a better buy!

We originally didn't think the Apple TV would be that different from our Smart TV interface--we bought it to access HBO Now before it became mainstream. Boy were we wrong! Apple TV is faster, it's interface is better designed, and it has features built into the structure of every app that make steaming easier and more convenient (like the resume option on every app--even those that don't normally have it). Only downside: limited remote options (doesn't have home button).

Very easy to operate and install! Love using it with my iPhone. I will most likely buy another one for my other tv's.

Bought this for my son's room. Easy to install and works great. He enjoys streaming movies from his iPad to the TV.
