The Apple TV is a good buy for the money. I love I can get HBOGo to watch in the bedroom without a cable box. Now one can stream all those digital movies right to their TV without having to download them onto a device. Its got great sports apps like Watch ESPN for live feed w a subscribtion to cable tv. but also offers free ESPN interviews of the day and past months. There is also a NBA, MLB & NHL apps. Since I dont have cable TV, I could not buy the CentreIce package to watch all my fave hockey games but now I can purchase it without cable with the Apple TV app. Anything you have on iTUnes you can watch or listen to with the Apple TV. The only drawback is the lack of apps unlike my SamsungSmart TV which has hundreds of apps. I am sure Apple TV is developing more now. I would love to see VUDU, Cinema Now and ABCPlayer apps on this Apple TV soon and then it would be perfect. If you are looking for an abundance of Apps this is not for your but if you want your sports, iTunes, Netflix and HBOGO then you will love this. Also a plus it is the size of a small hamburger so you can unplug and take it with you as long as there is wifii you are ready to plug in and watch anywhere! The remote if very small and simple. At first I thought it didn't have enough buttons on it but once I used it a few times I liked the small simple features of the remote making it easy to use in the dark. For $99 this is a great deal. I applied my rewards points and got an additional $35 off the price with made it a steal! Love it!

This is by far the best $100 I have spent. It's easy to set up and easy to learn how to navigate. Being able to connect the iPad and MacBook is amazing. You save the hassle of having to connect so many things.

I bought this to be able to use HBO Now to watch Game of Thrones, but I am somewhat disappointed. Also, the remote is TINY so it gets lost almost every time I use it. But it serves its purpose and was easy to set up. It also connects to other Apple products which is convenient. Not necessary, but convenient.

I bought my Apple TV to replace my Sony Network Media Player, which did a spotty job from its location in the basement. The Apple TV doesn't drop the signal as the Sony did; the ATV signal reception is significantly stronger. And the footprint of the ATV is much smaller than the Sony Player's. The device was easy to set up, and it is easy to move around. I've used it to Airplay photos on our big screen with excellent results. I would have given the ATV five stars except for a somewhat inadequate remote that, combined with multi-click navigation through the menu system makes changes such as turning on and off subtitles time-consuming (one has to back completely out of the provider's menu tree and navigate through the ATV's Settings menu to turn on subtitles, then navigate through several clicks back to your program/movie).

This is a great prooduct, easy to setup and works great. I use it to mirror my IPhone to view photos and videos on my TV. I also use it to wirelessly connect my windows computer to my TV using a program called Parrot. I would give it five stars if it was easier to add more streaming vendors to the menu.

Simple me to use. Does exactly as advertised. It was easy to hook up and connect and streaming has been seamless. Since we use apple products,the AirPlay feature has come in handy. Great product.

The main reason I wanted the AppleTV was to play music from my iPhone into my stereo using AirPlay. And that works great! Since I clearly have an iPhone, I was able to use the quick-setup technique: the AppleTV gets your WiFi info and password from the iPhone using Bluetooth, and you're up and running very quickly. However: I did *not* see the easy setup message on the start screen at first, because I was going too quickly. I started trying to to a manual configuration, which was a *big* mistake. So, be sure to read the startup screen carefully.

This device with AirPlay is awesome. We don't really use all the features (I use those with one at home.) But we just leave it on the Conference Room Preview screen. You can add a company logo from your pictures, and just leave it there waiting for folks to link Apple devices to it. BELIEVE ME it is that easy. We used double sided velcro to stick it to the top of the conference room TV, and added it to our internal wireless network. Even the least technical here got it running. Also, as a side note - Apple TV has THE BEST Netflix client there is. I've used Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and other tools, but AppleTV has the best. Trust me. Worth the price for that feature alone.

I am not allowed to hook up cable at my location but we do have internet. AppleTV saved me so I can at least watch Netflix & Hulu! I know there are many options out there (Google Chrome, Roku, FireStick, XBox, etc.) that can stream Netflix but I liked the sleek design of the Apple TV and simplicity of not having to log onto my computer to watch tv (i.e. Google Chrome). The Apple TV was SO easy to hook up and I was logged onto Netflix in minutes. I just wish I knew before I bought this version, that if I waited a bit longer that an updated version will be available soon (isn't that always the case with Apple? lol). Either way, I am satisfied with this purchase for many reasons including: It is easy to operate, it accesses the internet fairly well in a house where many devices are also using the signal... the only thing I would say is that if you have a Macbook, you have to turn off the remote control option on your Macbook or the apple tv remote will operate both devices.

Great price, easy to set up and easy to use. Nice to see more and more apps showing up. It also streams from my computer with ease. This makes viewing things for the family easy as well.

Offers many choices of programming and entertainment! Picture is of highest quality. It comes in an attractive small box and can be placed just about anywhere. Very user friendly!

It is a great product. It was very easy to install and it worked with our smart tv so easy. It is great to stream our photos as well as movies and sports from the IPad to the Tv.

I'm a cord cutter. I got rid of cable months ago and haven't looked back since. I got this Apple TV device so that I could get HBO Now and keep up with the great shows such as True Detective and GoT. From my experience, below are my Pros / Cons PROS: - Quick and easy setup - Easy navigation - Streams flawlessly - Love the screensavers - Airplay (with my iPad Air 2) - Works with my Logitech Harmony remote CONS: - Another device to add to the entertainment center (but small enough to not be so noticeable) - As with all Apple devices, I feel it looks cluttered. I don't like icons all over the screen. This is more of a personal preference though. - When using Airplay with my iPad Air 2, it doesn't scale to my TV size so I get the black sides. Overall, I feel the device does what it is designed to do, and does it well. I feel the cord cutting world could use a nice polished UI and unfortunately Apple TV isn't there yet, but on its way.

Easy setup and works great. Discovered I could use my iPad and AppleTV to view games, cable Tv, business presentations on my regular Tv using AirPlay. This is great product.

Easy to use. Works great with other Apple products. Love the air play function. Only two negatives is there is currently not an Amazon video app but if you have an iPad you can solve this with air play. And the remote looks cool but is easy to lose in furniture.

I'd like this to have a few more apps, such as Crackle and perhaps some additional streaming sources. Amazon Prime Videos would be nice. The Netflix application is really great. On Roku, if a stream has to drop in quality (home broadband isn't always the best) it will STOP abruptly and start to stream at a much lower quality. But it will never try to return to a better quality. You must stop the stream and restart it. On Apple TV that is not an issue. It will adjust dynamically as it needs to. The quality of streams is really great. Using your iPhone for the remote, mostly for the onscreen keyboard is really convenient. Pop your photos or videos from your phone or your Mac right up on the screen through air play. That works brilliantly! Makes it to easy to pop my desktop up on the big screen with one click of the mouse. Works really great. I use my Mac Mini as a media server paired to the Apple TV. All of my tv shows and movies stream to it and it works really well. My only wish is for more content, but for what is there, it just works great. I was looking for a home media solution and could not find anything on the windows environment that would be so seamless. I got the Apple TV and could immediately stream content from my MacBook Pro. Adding the Mac Mini with 2 TB of storage allows me to have a very seamless media solution that is always readily available. Oh yeah, if you're into iphoto, you can set your pictures to revolve as your screen saver. I put vacation photos on there and sometimes just leave them on as a picture frame of sorts. Really nice little touch there.

As with most Apple products, power it on and it just works. Simple layout and remote operation. One of the most convenient features is AirPlay to stream from your phone

I love this device, is very easy to install, wifi works well, we own only Apple devices so is very easy to use at any room and with any iPhone or iPad! I recommend it!

This is my 2nd AppleTV in use (home + apartment) and they are both great! Simple to set up and use. No problems encountered with either one. Highly recommended!

Of coarse there's the ever lasting competition between android products and Apple. In this battle between small smart app add on devices Apple rocks it! Easy to use and simple platform that you can modify and set up with ease. The wifi recieving antenna in it works great and can function well without having to be right on top of your router! So in short even if you buy a smart tv you'll still want this product as an add on for under a hundred dollars! Let's not forget how seamless AirPlay is as well for sending info from your phone, iPad or laptop to the TV. Works perfect everytime. Buy it!!
